Sydney Nelson was extremely helpful with my problem, I've been searching for a specific song to utilize for my project for some time. I decided to use the live chat feature and ask for help, Sydney took the time to listen to my problem, search for the song I was trying to find the name to, and she found it quickly. All the while being kind and friendly.

Mostly Negative

The Pros: Musicbed works quickly to resolve copyright issues I have when posting to YouTube. But thats the only good.

The Cons: I have copyright issues EVERY SINGLE TIME I post to Youtube. Every. Single. Time. Their music library is the same as Epidemic Sound- and I rarely had issues when posting to YouTube with Epidemic Sound. Music Bed has ZERO sound effects- unless you wan to pay extra for it. Epidemic Sound includes free sound effects. Music Bed is literally THREE TIMES as much as competitors and I have copyright issues, no change in music quality and zero sound effects. I would never use Music Bed again. It's been a complete pain in the a** to use them.

Also, just finding music is difficult. I can't just type in a genre or hashtag to find music related to popular band on Music Bed. I get either no results or low results. It was easier for me to find music by genre and music sounding like popular bands on other platforms.

Conclusion: Save 3x the amount of money and get the same music library from other sources that have no-copyright songs. You'll get just expansive of a library, same music, ACTUAL sound effects without having to pay extra and zero copyright strikes when you upload to YouTube. And AGAIN- you'll save over $200 when using other sites.

I'm partnering with my team now to investigate why you've experienced consistent copyright claims on your videos. Our system is designed to clear claims automatically when licenses are in place, so I definitely want to understand why this hasn’t been happening in your case and make sure it’s resolved. We are also launching an initiative to comb our catalog for songs that get claimed frequently even when licensing is 100% in order.

I totally understand your concern about pricing, and don't blame you at all for wanting to critically evaluate what you're getting for the cost! One reason our pricing is a bit higher is that every Musicbed artist is a real, authentic musician and not a stock music producer. They maintain ownership of their work which is why our catalog is not copyright-free, but we believe this empowers artists to put more heart and soul into their music!

While quality is subjective, we are confident that our artists create the best music available for licensing. What is not subjective, however, is the breadth of our catalog! We have well over 70,000 songs and counting.

I appreciate your feedback on our search tools- we are actively improving our search features as we speak, which should greatly enhance the search experience. In the meantime, we gladly offer tailored song-search help if you ever need it!

Really great experience with clearances

I’ve already been a big fan of Musicbed…

I’ve already been a big fan of Musicbed for a while because the quality of their music and licensing makes my workflow so much easier as a creator. Recently, I realized I accidentally had two separate accounts both charging monthly, and their customer service handled it incredibly well. They responded quickly, fixed the issue without any hassle, and refunded everything without giving me the runaround. That level of support honestly stood out to me. Great platform, amazing music, and customer service that actually takes care of you when something goes wrong. Highly recommend.

I had a great experience with Musicbed’s support team. The platform itself is clean, intuitive, and clearly built with creatives in mind, but what really stood out was the human side of the experience.

My interaction with their client specialist was smooth, respectful, and efficient — I felt heard and supported rather than rushed or treated like a number. As an independent artist navigating licensing and placement, that level of clarity and professionalism matters a lot.

This was honestly the worst experience…

I am sharing this review for informational purposes based strictly on my personal interactions with this business:

This was honestly the worst experience with any company ever. I’m a software expert—I work with hundreds of tools, literally—and I’ve never seen a business treat people with this much manipulation.

Here’s the deal: I had a major family health crisis and had to pause the new content channel I was building with Musicbed. I reached out and said, "Hey, I can’t do this right now, can we settle?" I NEVER EVEN published a single thing with their music!!

Fine, I signed up for the 12-m agreement, I'll take that...But it gets weirder.

I offered to just pay off the current year in full to be done with it. They told me that paying it off early is a "breach of contract," and they’d revoke my access to the music. ????? They want my money, but then they want to take away the service I just paid for. It’s a total cash grab.

The worst part? The software is rigged.

They actually have a button that says "Disable Renewal," but they keep it locked so it doesn't work! You can’t even set it to NOT renew for the next year—you're forced to email their team and hope they don't "trap" you again. I’m pretty sure this is actually illegal in California under the California Automatic Renewal Law (ARL), which requires an easy, online way to cancel.

In my opinion, this is abuse of power. They took my card info and then used it against me...

They aren't even doing this to support artists; they told me it's just their "business practice". If you value your money and your sanity, stick with Epidemic Sound. They treat you like a human being.

Rebuttal to MusicBeds Response:
The reality is your team was ready to screw me over, even though I paid in full... Allison multiple times told me I 'breached' the contract and not once offered me anything you mentioned.

She was so happy to use the contract against me, when again, I never ONCE used your music. No one gave me clear isntructions on how to get the most of what I paid for, considering my family had a medical emergency and again I never used the music.

Also, worth mentioning that in California having the ability to disable an account AS EASY AS SIGNING UP is a legal requirement, which in my opinion, having to reach out to support isn't as easy as signup. Look up: California Automatic Renewal Law (ARL)...

To clarify our terms: as you alluded to, all our subscriptions are 12-month agreements. Those can either be paid-in-full upfront or paid in 12 monthly installments. It appears there were some wires crossed between you and our team and they understood you opted to pay your balance and cancel rather than pay your balance and continue utilizing the subscription. If you would like to continue with a paid-in-full subscription, I'd be more than happy to help set that up!

I appreciate your candid feedback on our disable renewal process, and totally understand your confusion. The option to disable your subscription's automatic renewal yourself opens 30 days before the renewal date- it is not available year-round. This gives us a great opportunity to connect with users before their subscription renews, rather than getting surprised when their subscription renews (or fails to renew) on the actual renewal date. We send an email as soon as this window opens so you know your options! To be clear, our team is happy to help disabling renewal early if it fits your situation (which we were able to do in your case), but you can self-service that renewal within 30 days.

Our annual terms are indeed to provide the best support possible for our artists and ensure continued access for our clients! I regret that. you had a poor experience, but hope I've been able to provide a bit more clarity. Thanks again for taking the time to share your thoughts, we really do appreciate it.
