Excellent

Easy, straightforward, and effective. We had a baby camera, laptop, and three phones on it. We watched Netflix at night too with no issues. Easily extended which we did because our permanent internet took a little long to install properly. Would use again and recommend!

The router arrived promptly

The router arrived promptly, ordered on Saturday night for hire on the Tuesday and it was with me before 8am Tuesday. Easy set up; plug in and go, password on the modem.
We could play games and watch TV on the PlayStation and have a couple phones connected with little issues however if my sonwas then to put his switch console on or if we wanted to use the alexa that was too much and it would slow down to a regular buffer. I'd say that should be expected from a temporary device and we just adjusted our usage to accommodate it.
I was a bit worried about fines and not getting deposits back; the customer service made it very clear what day I needed to post on and they can see when I posted from the tracking info so no worries for if post is slow. It was one less thing to stress about when moving house and I would definitely recommend.

Responsive support

Dispatched quickly but as it was Easter weekend arrived after my contract started so they moved the contract start date. No dramas.

Moving house

When moving house, we found out we would be without internet for over a week until installation completed. Having not heard of moving internet before, I was hesitant as to how good it would be but it did exactly as set out on its internet page. Router arrived swiftly (over a bank holiday weekend), plugged in and everything worked and internet speed was fast. Had to extend time period, was no trouble and easy to do. Router returned and deposit back in my account quickly. No negatives - brilliant service!

AVOID - NOT TRUSTWORTHY

AVOID - UNTRUSTWORTHY COMPANY! Arrived days after the date it was supposed to, they refused to refund me, and then ghosted my emails sent about this (but funnily enough someone called Lillian was responsive when wanting my business). Am now going via my bank to get a refund. No doubt they will reply to this review with some rubbish, but my advise is to avoid.

JUST ADDING TO THIS: as predicted, this company has replied to my review with a load of absolute rubbish. However, on a positive note, this has led to them rightly refunding me. I still have not received any reply from my last 4 emails though. Rubbish customer service, unless you hare yet to buy!

This has been looked into.

Regarding the late arrival of your assigned device, I can see you placed your order on just after midnight leading into Friday the 29th of March which was a public holiday in the UK (Good Friday) with a start date of 30th. Understandable Royal mail was not in full operation during the public holiday season which meant the device arrived after the public holiday(information was about public holiday delivery and dispatch times where also on our website).
I can see the customer service team emailed you to notify you about the delivery delay that would occure due to the order being made on a public holiday season .
I can also see you had contacted us to acknowledge you had ordered on a public holday and about it's impact on the delivery of the device.

I can also see the customer service team had replied you saying "you are not being charged for the days the device will be in transit to you, as your start date has been updated to have the delivery date as the start of hire date". But you had replied requesting to cancel the order, and the customer serviec team had replied to say you should reject the package when Royal mail delivers it(so that the order can be refunded when we get it back).
But you had later replied saying you had accepted the package. So the customer service team had requested the package should be posted back to us using the courtesy Free return label(Royal mail trackable label) in the package, and you replied the message.
But unfortunately the device was still kept for several days beyond when Royal mail delivered the device.
I can also see several emails were sent to find out/ask when you were going to send back the device to us (as our Free/courtesy return tracking code, showed the device had not been dropped off at any post office yet), but we didn't get any reply from you.

Easy, quick and great wifi

Easy, quick and super simple. Router arrived the next day, wifi was great and the price was better than I was being quoted from the high street mobile providers. Would definitely use again next time I'm back in UK.

Total scam

Total scam. They don’t refund the deposit. We used this service while we changed providers. Our hire ended on the Friday and it was in the post first thing on Monday morning. The charged the extra days. Customer service was poor too.

This has been investigated , and I can see the deduction was because you kept the device with you for 3 extra days. (The return tracking code shows the date the device was dropped off at the post office). So the cost of the extra days of hire was deducted from your deposit, and the balance amount was refunded back to you. I can see this was also explained in details by a customer service team member.

Makes moving house that bit easier

Just what we needed when we moved house. Ordered and arrived the next day. Plug it in and it’s all ready to go. Extending the time frame is easy to do as was posting back. Would highly recommend.

An excellent concept

An excellent concept. We had to wait about 2 weeks for broadband to be installed when we moved home so moving internet managed to fill the gap. They sent a router with an EE sick and in my area we were getting download speeds of around 15-20mbps which was more than sufficient for a few weeks. Quick delivery and refund of the deposit too

Similar to other reviews, which I wish I had checked before my rental with them.

My average connection was below 1Mbps, after making the complaint about the speed they explained their was "good coverage" in my area and I would need to do speed tests. After a few tests showing how poor speed they sent a new device and had exactly the same problem. Their excuse was external equipment failure that has not been reported yet.

Unfortunately I did not have unlimited data on my phone (otherwise I would have used that). I connected my smart TV to my phone network and clocked in at over 50Mbps. This proved external problem didn't exist. I bought my own device and a unlimited data SIM and still got more speed than the device and service from Moving Internet.

They refuse to deal with the complaint. I would not use this company, especially as it cost £80 for 12 days of extremely poor internet that often would not work for 1 device let alone any others.

Extremely poor technical service and customer 'support'.

Update since response:
Yes it was sent back on the 13th day, if I had sent it on the 12th day I would have lost a day's usage that I was being charged for. Which if you are able to do maths at all, sending it on the 12th day would only be 11 days hire. The reason for the delay in reporting was because when I went to contact the company, they specifically state on the website that they do not provide customer service on Saturday or Sunday. As the time on the Friday had already passed their closing time I had to wait until Monday. I kept the device because I would have been left with zero internet. The offer for a "partial" refund was for time not used after returning the device not for their poor service. Let me be clear their service is not fit for purpose. They still blame external equipment failure as the problem dispute the evidence that shows otherwise. They take zero responsibility for a poor data speeds and their lack of customer service.

This has been looked into, your hire was for 12 days and you contacted us on the 5th day into your hire regarding network issues. I can see the customer service team member had issued a replacement after investigating the issue. Unfortunately, you notified us that the replacement also had poor network on the 9th day into your hire. A customer service representative requested that you post back the device that day and you will be issued a partial refund when we receive the device.

But you kept the device and posted it back after 13 days (1 day after your hire ended).

Not worth the cost!

Ordered this for 7 day hire. First couple days was slow but not completely unusable. My phone didn’t work off it at all but tv was ok with just lots of buffering. After a few days it stopped working and was so slow nothing would load. I emailed which got ignored. Then emailed again which got replied to and they agreed the signal/ speed was not what it should be and they give a partial refund for days it was unusable.
I sent the device back at end of term. They then email me to say I’d only get £15 back rather than the £21 it should have been. They then refused to return my £50 deposit as the device took a few days in post to get to them so they’ve charged me as extra days.
Completely unacceptable, terrible customer service and a complete SCAM!

This has been looked into, and I can see your hire started on the 5th of March to end on the 12th of March 2024, and you had contacted the customer service team in the evening of the 11th regarding experiencing some challenges.

The customer service representative had requested your detail so as to check the location, which you sent and it was checked.

I can see the customer service team contacted you on the 12th of March, to inform you that the location showed that there was no network issues, however, that you should perform a speed test and send us a screenshot. Unfortunately, we did not receive a reply from you until the 14th of March which was 2 days after your end of hire. It also, shows from our system that you were informed that your hire ended 2 days ago and that you should kindly post back the device. But you dropped it off at the post office on the 18th of March, which was 6 days after your hire ended (the free return postage label included in your package shows the date and time the package was dropped off at the post office).

I can see you were issued a partial refund but also charged for 6days late return.

We recently moved into a new house and…

We recently moved into a new house and we needed WiFi as soon as possible. Luckily I came across Moving Internet who sent a temp router very promptly which I used whilst I was organising the fibre cable installation for my broadband. Definitely recommend as they were a massive help especially when me and my partner work from home and rely on a good internet connection.

It's hassle free and for a fair price

It's hassle free and for a fair price
We moved houses and were informed that the internet would take longer than expected (shocker...). I found this company by googling "temporary internet" and decided to trust the reviews.
It was better than expected. Easy to hire, easy to extend, easy to return.
The internet is high quality and speed, we streamed and played Xbox all the time. I'm very pleased with their service.
