Company is a SCAM!

I would have given them '0' stars if that was an option. I purchased a diving mask on 10/11/2024 and haven't received the merchandise yet. I emailed them requesting information on the status of my order and received an automated message indicating I would receive the mask the following week (10/21) but I haven't received the mask nor has there been any indication it has shipped.
I have emailed again asking for refund but haven't received any response. This company is a SCAM--avoid at all costs!

It’s clear that this is a scam company. All the positive reviews seem to be copied and pasted. Avoid ordering from here, or you risk losing your money and never receiving your order. Like me. scammers…
Update: It’s just ridiculous—they ask for additional information about my order an hour after my comment, but they’ve been ignoring my emails for months. Scammers. Avoid this company for your own good.

I purchased a high-end product (Scubajet Pro) from MOVESEA in June 2023 for €2,094.21. The delivery was delayed, which meant I couldn’t use it during the intended season. When I finally used it, the product was defective. MOVESEA directed me to the manufacturer, who replaced a part. However, the following summer, a new issue emerged (the battery was unusable), rendering the product completely non-compliant and unusable.

MOVESEA’s customer service has been appalling. They asked repetitive and redundant questions over countless emails, seemingly trying to discourage me from pursuing the issue. After running out of questions, they stopped responding entirely, which is unacceptable.

Despite paying a significant amount for the product, I am left with a defective item and no resolution. I strongly recommend avoiding MOVESEA at all costs. Their lack of accountability and disregard for customer rights is shocking.

1. Lithium Batteries and Warranty Terms
Lithium batteries are consumables whose performance degrades over time due to chemical processes. To ensure proper functionality:

Regularly monitor the charge level and avoid deep discharge.
Follow the manufacturer’s charging and usage guidelines.
Adhering to these conditions is the user's responsibility. Damage due to non-compliance is not covered by warranty. Lithium batteries have a limited warranty of 6 months from purchase. Your battery was purchased in August 2023, and issues were first mentioned in summer 2024, exceeding the warranty period.

Under Article 5(1) of Directive 1999/44/EC, defects must be reported within the warranty period, and under Article 5(3), within a reasonable time after discovery. The warranty has expired, and the delay in reporting prevents us from considering your case under warranty obligations.

2. Obligation to Notify and Return the Product
Under Article 3(2) of Directive 1999/44/EC, sellers must repair defects, provide replacements, or offer refunds if the product is non-conforming. Consumers must:

Notify the seller of the defect within a reasonable timeframe.
Return the product to seek a refund.
You requested a refund but:

Did not state your willingness to return the product.
Did not provide the product for inspection or repair.
Under Article 3(3), the seller may deny a refund if the product is not returned. Refunds cannot proceed without the product's return.

3. Lack of Evidence for the Claimed Defect
You claim the battery discharges quickly but have not provided:

An independent assessment or evidence confirming a manufacturing defect.
Supporting materials like videos or diagnostic reports.
Under Article 2(2), defects must be proven for repair, replacement, or refund. Your claim relies solely on unverified statements, insufficient to establish a defect.

4. No Other Issues with the Product
You only mentioned the battery issue, confirming no other reported defects. Additionally, a prior motor issue was resolved directly with the manufacturer. However, under Article 3(1), you should have contacted us, the seller, to register the issue. Directly approaching the manufacturer complicates the resolution process.

Conclusion
We cannot fulfill your refund request for the following reasons:

The warranty period has expired, and the defect was reported beyond a reasonable timeframe.
You have not stated your willingness to return the product, a mandatory refund condition.
The alleged defect is unsupported by evidence.
Lithium batteries degrade naturally over time, which is not covered by warranty.
We regret that the device did not meet your expectations. However, based on applicable legislation and warranty terms, your request cannot be granted.

I have been waiting weeks past the projected delivery date and still no product. I have emailed Movesea 3 times and have not had one response and my order has not been canceled and refunded.

Not delivered

Not delivered, no contacts, and no response to my repeated requests.

This company is very dubious and I ordered diving fins which were never shipped after waiting over 11 days. I still don't have the fins and they were never shipped. Since I canceled nobody has contacted me and the charge on my AMEX card hasn't been reversed. Avoid this company. I tried to save a buck and I got bit.

Absolutely dishonest.

Cancelled order, No communication, No refund

I placed an order back in August that they eventually canceled 30 days later for some undisclosed reason. I reached out a couple weeks later wondering when I could expect a refund. They promptly responded, asking me to confirm I hadn’t been refunded and saying their bank would reach out within the next week. I confirmed I did not receive the refund, and haven’t received a response from them or their bank since then (despite sending several follow-up emails since). It has been almost three months since placing my original order.

I think I have been polite and professional in all my communication to them, but it obviously hasn’t made a difference. I’m not the type of person to leave a negative review, but at this point, they’ve essentially stolen over $600 from me and I’m not sure what else to do to hopefully get their attention.

DO NOT BUY THIS COMPANY IS A FRAUD. Movesea does not delivery in the time their website quotes and did not deliver my package to me at all. I contacted them 3 times to alert them of the importance of delivery and they ignored me until it was too late. The parcel arrived in my absence and they delivered to someone else whose signature is clearly different to mine. Now they will not reimburse.

Great Overall Experience

Goggles arrived very quickly. A trail of emails let me know at the status of my delivery. I have a small face and the smaller size fit me well.They did not leak which was really good.

I strongly advise AGAINST purchasing…

I strongly advise AGAINST purchasing from MoveSea. From day one, the drone I bought for critical maritime research was faulty. Despite sending it back multiple times for repairs over nearly three years, it continued to break down after minimal use. Even following every maintenance instruction, the drone failed repeatedly, including right after so-called repairs. This level of unreliability is completely unacceptable, especially for such an expensive piece of equipment.

What’s worse is the company’s complete lack of accountability. Instead of owning up to the fact that they sold a defective product, they consistently deflected responsibility and refused to offer any real solutions. For the amount of money I spent, I expected far better quality and support. This experience has been nothing but frustrating and time-consuming, and I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone who expects dependable equipment or decent customer service.

Auch bei mir im August 2024, hatte einen Wingfoilmast über € 448,- bestellt und bezahlt. Ware nicht erhalten und auch keine konkreten Antworten auf meine Mails. Habe nur eine Nachricht erhalten dass das Produkt nicht lieferbar wäre. Aber bis dato keine Rückzahlung erhalten.
Scheint eine Fake-Firma zu sein die Kunden nur abzockt!!
Werde jetzt versuchen auf rechtlichen Weg eine Lösung zu erhalten.

No sign of my order

Very disappointed, I placed an order on September 8th. No sign of my order, no updates and have tried to contact the company three times now. I head away next week and am now unsure if I will receive my order in time, or at all at this rate. I see some positive reviews on here so I still have some hope my item might arrive but the experience so far is very disappointing.

Avoid - 2 months waiting and still nothing

Ordered a product 22nd July with estimated delivery date of 2nd August, it’s now 19th September and still no sign of my item. I’ve requested cancellation and refund but now they’re just ignoring me. I can only assume the above reviews are bots and this is a scam site.

Confusing that they have time to respond to these public reviews but they won’t reply to my emails. Avoid at all costs, unfortunately!
