I thought it was a scam because I didn't receive any order update for 3 weeks after it said it shipped. I finally received the lamp after 6 weeks.

DO NOT PURCHASE FROM MOONSIDE DESIGN. Here is what will happen:
1. They will take your money
2. They will not ship the product (even after numerous follow ups after 30 days, then 60 days)
3. They will blame it on the shipping company's backlog (false, many companies ship their products with no issue, and very little delay)
4. They will not agree to refund, they will ask you to "bear with them while they work with the shipping partner".

The company will delete (or remove their whole post) from their Instagram profile if you ask any reasonable questions in regard to:
1. Do they actually have any of the lamps in stock.
2. After 30-60 days, ask why they won't simply process a refund for not receiving the item.

In summary, Moonside Design exhibits obstructive behaviour, does not wish to attempt to meet consumer law obligations in the countries they ship to, and will falsely advertise that your item will ship.

The sad thing is, Instagram allows businesses like this to perpetuate their scam like behaviour by appearing as a legitimate business.

Avoid at all costs.

Hab bei Paypal mein Geld zurück gefordert nachdem sich 100 Tage nichts am Bestellstatus geändert hat und nur generische Antworten vom Support kamen. Kommentare dahingehen auf Instagram werden auch gelöscht, um ein gutes Bild aufrecht zu erhalten. Vertrauenswürdig ist was anderes.

Similar experience as many other comments here. I did actually receive the product but the 3D lampshade arrived cracked. They agreed to send a replacement but that was back in August and the tracking status never progressed since then. Have asked for a refund via PayPal. It's a lot of trouble to go through for a 3D printed item.

I'm NOT happy with my experience with Moonside Design.

I put an order in with them in early Jun 25 for three light products. No updates on shipping status for over a month. When I inquired with them in early July, I was told that two of the items were actually pre-orders (not noted in their ads or online store).

The third item, the Neon Lighthouse and base, finally shipped and was received by mid July. Overall, it's a decent product, albeit with some bugs. I will say that Moonside did get back with me via email, in only a day or two, to help me resolve a technical glitch I was having with the Lighthouse

I never heard back about the other two products. When I inquired in mid September, I was told I'd get an updated status soon. Never heard back from them. At that point, I was done with them. I filed a dispute with PayPal who refunded my entire purchase price for the order.

This company is either an outright scam, or completely incompetent. In either case, it doesn't speak well of them. It's a shame as the Neon Lighthouse, even with its quirks, is a neat device. I was looking forward to their other products. However, no product is worth this level of aggravation. As such, I suggest you avoid Moonside Design like the plague.

Scam company, fake 5 star reviews. They never deliver your order, never refund you, and they always give the same bullshit answers in emails.

AVOID and save your money :)

Order placed on March 12th was supposed to ship by March 31st. It is now October 18th, and it still hasn't shipped.
Customer service is actively deleting comments of people not receiving their orders from all their social media channels, and it looks like they're ramping up fake positive reviews and comments everywhere. I contacted customer service every month for 7 months, and they could not provide any help. After reaching out to them on social media, they said they could only provide a 10% discount once my order was delivered.
Not sure exactly what happened to Moonside, but their behaviour strongly indicates it's now a scam.

I have filed a dispute with my credit card company and they are now actively investigating.

Like many here I have been waiting months for the product. Their support says it has been “processed” so they cannot issue a refund. However they also do not advise the shipping date.

Ordered two Star Bulbs in November of 2024 via their Indigogo campaign. Moonside never shipped the product. Followed up with them to inquire about the status. Moonside sent me a fake tracking link and blamed their "logistics provider" for delays. The tracking link shows that no package was ever provided by Moonside to their shipping partner. One year later, nothing has been shipped. Hundreds/thousands of people were similarly scammed - look at their Indigogo page to see all the complaints. Not one customer has received a single Star Bulb. The product appears to be complete vapor and does not exist. No refunds are being provided by Moonside despite their failure to send anything.

This seems to be a scam company. I'm waiting for more than 25 days for the product to be shipped and nothing happens. They don't answer to my email and send replies on Instagram that seem like automated replies. Be careful with spending your money there!

I have ordered lamp from them on Mar 27, 2025, as well as 2 bulbs on indiegogo campaign which i've been waiting for for over 250 days. I haven't received any of the ordered items. Their support doesn't act on the messages, they just keep replying with automated messages which is very frustrating. Beware of this company, i wouldn't send them any money. I can safely say it's a scam.

This is a scam, they never intended on sending you any product. Excuse after excuse and you still don't get any updates on the product, pathetic excuse of a company. They also refused to cancel my order and refund me. Avoid!

habe ein verkratztes und wackeliges Produkt erhalten, nachdem 2 Monate Erinnerungen nichts geholfen haben ("Wir versenden bald, sorry") und erst Paypal das Problem lösen bzw. den entsprechenden Druck aufbauen konnte.

"Kundensupport" hält mich jetzt, wegen dem Rückversand der "Ware" wieder seit 1 Monat hin und ich werde wieder Paypal benötigen, um mein Geld wieder zu bekommen.

Absoluter Abschaum.

I ordered a lamp in March 2025 and the company keeps saying the lamp will soon be delivered. It has never arrived (now 6 months in). Amex has refunded me after their investigation into the company.

I placed an order for the Moonside Halo Lamp on April 12th and followed up with an email to support every month since for an update. I’ve been met with the same automated response about “expediting” my order yet tracking hasn’t updated past “parcel information received”. They seem to have no issues sending the product to content creators for review in hopes of getting more purchases, but can’t even follow up with shipping out their product to customers. I’m in the process of a chargeback and hope anyone else who’s waiting will do the same. Avoid buying any products from this company!

I which I read these reviews before ordering. I ordered a lamp two months ago and it still hasn’t been shipped. I emailed Moonside to cancel the order but that’s not possible according to them. They say they have logistical challenges but to me it just looks like a scam now. I asked my bank for a chargeback so hopefully I see my money back.

I have been stolen. I did not receive my product. Avoid.

No compren en la página. Es estafa. Llevo 50 días esperando mi pedido y solo dan respuestas generadas por ia sobre que ya dieron el paquete a la logística pero no han hecho nada, es scam. Simplemente se quedan con tu dinero y no envían nada.

It's a con sadly. Please be careful. They'll never send the items. I've been waiting 5 months and they keep saying it's coming but the tracking is a bogus website.
