Great App
Great App! All four kids and this mom is loving the app and the straightforwardness. Its simple and uncomplicated unlike some other financial apps. The support has been great so far with questions. I would recommend giving Modak a shot!

Great concept. I love that I can see where my child spends their money. Fast, easy allowance and chore assignments. Will be happy when they enable the feature to pause and edit the reoccurring allowance option.
They block ur account and take 11+ days to resolve it leaving ur kid unable to use their money...
Oct 23, 2025 I tried putting my daughter birthday money on her card. 780.00 worth. It would only let me deposit 200.00 at a time - Seems like a way for them to get more money out of you... the 4th time I tried adding 180.00 and depositing 600.00 well it flagged it so I tried again and this time I got a fraud alert from my bank which I said it was me so they said to try it again. I did and now Modak has blocked my kids account for suspicious activity because I tried to deposit to much money into her account. That was the 23rd and as of today I am still fighting for them to unblock my kids account so she can use her birthday money but they keep saying its in review... Why the hell does it take 11+ days to review when I sent them all my info and a photo of my ID... The are refusing to close the account so I can go elsewhere. I feel like this is a scam card and they are just trying to hold her money and Im pissed... I've never heard of such a thing as being flagged and blocked for trying to put to much money into an account...

Changing the address is a pain to do in my circumstance but getting new cards is relatively painless. It can be done through chat and Natalie was pleasure to chat with. Great card for kids though.
Needed to get my daughter’s card…
Needed to get my daughter’s card replaced as she lost hers. Was worried it would be a pain to replace but very easy. Just had to confirm identification through a few qs and it was done. Super informative chat and very helpful!
Satisfied Parent
I received my child’s new card so I went to activate and add funds to it. After that, I couldn’t send the funds to my daughter so I reached out to customer service via text and they responded quickly with greetings and a solution! I’m very pleased, thank you!
A must have for your family!
It May take a while (longer than the 10.days to receive your card) so dont be alarmed. Overall it is a great company. Customer service is excellent, they respond with promptness to all requests. I love that my children are able to have freedom with their debit cards to purchase things on shein, temu, and roblox ( they could not do this with their other debit card.)
Physical Cards Never Sent
I signed up both of my kids for a modak card in 2024. Back then they received physical cards right away and the experience was great. Then this year when Modak migrated to a different partner bank, we had to get new cards issued.
This is where the problems began. The first time I order replacement cards with the new bank, I waited over 6 weeks and they never arrived. I asked for new replacement cards, waited about another 4 weeks but they never arrived. The third time I ordered replacement cards, I was told the other cards didn’t arrive because there were some issues with delivering to addresses with apartment numbers. The customer service person I spoke with said they would make sure to include the apartment number. I waited about 4 weeks and the cards never came.
I contacted support AGAIN asking for replacement cards, now for the 4th time. I was told that they would be shipped and be to me within 10 business days. 10 business days passed so i contacted support again. They said to wait 5 more days. I waited 5 more days and the cards still haven’t arrived.
I contacted support AGAIN today asking for a 5th time for replacement cards for my kids. I asked that they be shipped with a tracking number and to provide the tracking number to me so I could follow the shipment details. I was told that wasn’t possible but that they could expedite shipping. I asked them to verify the shipping address. They sent me the address on file and it was correct, including apartment number. This will be STRIKE 5 (I shouldn’t have even given them a 4th or 5th chance) if the cards do not arrive. My kids have not been able to use the funds in their account with a physical card since the bank change earlier this year.
I am at a complete loss for why in any possible universe it would be so difficult for a company to send something as simple as this to the correct address. If the cards do not arrive this time I will be closing my kids accounts and suggesting that no one ever use Modak for any form of banking ever again.
