Natwest Bereavement
Sadly my grandmother passed away recently and we need to close her Natwest account and transfer funds. Despite numerous attempts Mitek will not accept any ID documents from the executors of her will. Thankfully the funds are only hundreds, not thousands, but it is extremely unhelpful during a stressful time.

Terrible. I tried driving licence and passport both rejected. I and others could read the details but their systems and Ai could not. Looking for another bank now.

What a waste of time! I tried to use the mobile phone method to identify myself. It would not proceed even though I had entered the correct phone number. It offered a link to help which was of no help at all. I scrapped the application. The Building Society that uses this Mitek software has lost my business. But they'll never know and I imagine Mitek don't care. Systems are obviously designed to eliminate hassle for the companies and pass on any pain to the customer.

Mediocre ! MITEK keeps rejecting the passport capture. Also phone auto-rotate out of sync with App so had to use a different phone. Have not been able to open CreditCard Balance Transfer with NATWEST for this reason.

I have had an absolutely horrific experience with this service trying to identify my identity for one of dormant accounts with NatWest. I have tried to upload my documents and I would have various messages received that this or that is wrong with my pictures. I complained to NatWest as three branches I visited all have been closed by the bank so more and more customers are pushed to using digital systems. Then I was sent a link to my phone to upload the documents again with the link in the messages this time, I uploaded the documents and received the confirmation that the documents were received. Two weeks later I again got the message that the passport photo was rejected not sure why. All in all it took me ages to identify myself but I am getting nowhere. At the same time I am a frequent traveller and use my passport to identify myself for travel dozens of times each year with never experiencing any issues. This is an absolute useless and frustrating service which has been pushed on to us and which I personally was unable to use.

Frustrating and disappointing exp with Mitek ID accreditation for big UK bank.
First of all told me my passport was rejected for being blurry. It's a scan, and there is no option to confirm. So they accepted a photo then deny it later...
Then they wouldn't accept any file saying it's over 30mb. It's a live photo using your software- I have no control over the size.
I think children in schools can build apps to read text with AI nowadays. Not sure big banks should be trusting this shit show with their AI slop.
Just hire a human who knows how to read.

Would give 0 stars if I could. Repeatedly took photos of ID before it was focused, then got that form of ID locked out when I was trying to get a loan. Beyond useless. Thanks Mitek.
Avoid Any company associated with Mitek

I went to a different bank because of Mitek wasn't able to verify me.
Now they again with third party.
If you can just avoid to get with anyone in contract if they use mitek

Absolutely awful system and not fit for purpose, trying to confirm ID for our UK bank and the reference number we've been provided with doesn't work as says it's a suspected cyber attack, given up with it and submitted a complaint to our bank about this system , by the looks of it we're not alone in our problems with this software!

I have tried to find an alternative and there is no other way. This has been worst user experience I’ve had online ever. I am trying to apply for a Natwest Credit card - Mitek system is awful and not working
I am trying to apply for a Natwest Credit Balance Transfer Card- the Mitek system is rubbish. I applied for the card on Thursday Feb 19th and was accepted and Natwest now need my i/d verifying. I was able to take my photo via my webcam and that was accepted but am now finding it impossbile to get a photo of my passport to Natwest via the Mitek system. I had a reminder from Natwest to day to get this done and I tried again but get link to work. Contact Centre is closed. What is going on?. the Mitek link down't work on my phone or PC. I am stressed and angry about this.

Mitek cannot accept perfectly normal UK driving licences that were issued for many years without a barcode of any kind (true between 2021-2023 for sure and possibly for many other years)

This situation is unacceptable. I have submitted my pay slips on three separate occasions, and each attempt has resulted in the same message: "We can't identify you. Please try again." I have tried four different methods to resolve this, all yielding the same outcome. Furthermore, there is no explanation provided for the repeated failure, which is a significant systemic flaw.

HOW? What bubbles? What overlays? What apps? Everything on Android is an app!
Mitek offers no explanation of how to do this.
Therefore it is impossible to use Mitek for ID verification to set up online banking via an Android phone.
Much of the problem is with the disgusting Android/Google ecosystem that tries to steal your personal data; so in this, Mitek are doing a good job.
But it's useless on an Android phone.
So why are banks using it?

Moving from NatWest due to poor customer experience.
Poor experience with adding a credit card to my NatWest account. I already have an account so not sure why I need to now upload new id. However the name on my photo id is different following marriage. I can't update them as my certificate is with another company to update their record. I've decided to move all my banking and mortgage away from the NatWest. Mitek doesn't seem to have much to point you towards help or any assistance.
