Metro Bank is a ROGUISH Bank
Metro bank is roguish and not fit to be a bank in this day and age in the UK.
I opened an account with Metro Bank in 2018 because I wanted to use it for my wages since my bank was not granting credit.
Money was then transferred to my account for the purpose of purchasing school supplies. Then Metro Bank closed my account and kept my money until I applied for the services of a lawyer to retrieve the funds. Once I got hold of the funds, I was happy and thought that was the end of it, only to apply for credit this year and be told that I have a Cifas marker placed on my profile.
I then requested a DSAR and realized the lies placed on my file. Metro Bank is not fit to offer services as a financial institution due to the way its customers are treated. I have researched since I realized the harm that has been done to me, and I have realized this has been done to many people.
When I contacted the bank to make a complaint, I was told my complaint would never be upheld without reviewing the issue.
I feel the ombudsman should investigate the bank's activities and help me and any other innocent customers in this situation find a solution.

Thank One star too much for this bank ,stuff rude ,I have account in StAlbans branch every time even if you only one customer in branch you have to wait to be served about 30 min and just waiting when stuff finish conversation between each other and with angry face call you like telling you why did you come here ? plus completely rude manager AJ Islam no have idea how to deal with customers,rudest person I have seen in my life , I feel myself in cheap market shop not in bank ,avoid !avoid !avoid ,I erased complain and closing my bank account tomorrow!Wotse bank of UK !
Metro Romford branch
Went to my local branch in Romford today .I explained that I wanted to reinvest my money?,There is a half an hour wait.So I booked in and waited..so now my time has been and gone by twenty minutes. I had wasted one hour of my life.The staff are walking back and forth to a printer and no-one is getting seen.I went up to the desk again"there is another wait of twenty minutes at least."..At this stage my head is thumping. And feeling sick ..Metro what has happened to you? You used to be such a nice place. I feel like going back to withdraw my money and finding another bank.. it's not that there wasn't enough staff as I counted at least 8.If I could rate you a zero I would.Avoid this place
Extremely bad
I was in my branch informing them of fraudulent activity, and the withdrawal request was pending they still allowed it to go out from my account. Now, 10 days later, there is no correspondence from the bank and l have not received the money yet. Disabled pensioner left with no money.

Absolutely shocking bank
Absolutely shocking customer service, my bank has been frozen by this bank for over 2 weeks. Called them every single day to resolve but they blame over departments. Do not even consider having a bank account with Metro bank.
Watch your Metro bank account closely
This is the worst bank in England!. Money disappearing from accounts, taking them over 2 months to deal with an Atm matter for charging and debiting my account without paying out the cash and still waiting to hear from them. Useless bank compared to others on the hight street. Very rude staff that hung up the phone while i was making complaints. I'm done with them!
I would not recommend to anyone to visit metro bank Uxbridge branch
My local branch is Uxbridge. Staff are unfriendly and some services nor available. Eg: if magic money machine is out of order, cannot deposit more than 5 bags of coins. But other branches are accepted. Staff said that its branch policy. But nothing written to explain at counters or Uxbridge branch. I have decided to switch my banking to barclays bank. Very disappointed

I was at Metro Bank Uxbridge to see if I could get an update on my credit card. I have to say that the staff are not very friendly in fact I found the assistant manager absolutely miserable to deal with as she was doing me a favour by being there. I approached Billal and asked if he could help as I looked up he gave a smirk to the assistant manager. When I asked he couldn’t answer my questions regarding my credit card being reinstated so she interjected. I explained that I had spoken to Juliette in Hayes & had no response back. So this assistant manage I believe called Manpreet said I would have to go to Hayes. This is absurd that she couldn’t access their data base, being the same bank! Then internally she messaged them while I’m waiting not saying anything 5min later says that Juliette is on holiday and she can’t get to her emails. She went on to give me the same spiel about have to wait 6months. I told her that I had applied for a C.C with another bank and it was about to arrive, so I don’t know if I should move my money from this bank to another, she replied it’s up to you if you want to close the account or not. Very unfriendly and unprofessional. All this time Bilal sitting next to her not serving anyone else and looking like a rabbit in-front of a cars headlights. This use to be a good bank with good people, where have they all gone ? And why employ rude, unprofessional & unhelpful people who have NO interpersonal skills?

Appalling Banking App
Since Thursday 6/10/22 my Banking App has been down it’s now Saturday 8/10/22 , can’t get hold of customer service , all it says on the App we’re working on it , well clearly not !!! Lot of rumours Metro has been hacked ? Customer Care obviously not Metro's priority , come on Metro do better too many customers being inconvenienced times are hard as it is without being unable to access your own £££££

Dreadful service at Oakgrove Milton Keynes. Waits in excess of two hours to get help! No sympathy! Don’t they realise that we have professions. I cannot cancel my patients appointments just to sit in their branch. I will now transfer my account and urge everybody to complain then Mr Frumpkin might do something. He cannot even be bothered to reply to my email.
