I needed a replacement debit card so…

I needed a replacement debit card so walked into my local branch on a Sunday (which you can't do with other banks) and after providing my driving licence to prove my identify I just had to wait a few minutes for a debit card to be printed for me.
I have always found the branch staff to be friendly and efficient.

Worst bank ever

Worst bank ever! I wanted to open an account and they says it takes 12 weeks just to check and review if I’m eligible to have an account with them!
This is ridiculous!

Worse bank ever, they close my account because they suspect me of fraud 😁😁😁 with my £2000 monthly.

Customer service on the phone is awful

Customer service on the phone is awful. Not using it anymore rather go to the branch…
Wanted to transfer money from one of my accounts to another one (within Metro Bank!) and that took 6! calls and still had to make a personal visit. They always saying that they call back in the next 48hours (which is a joke on its own….)
Last time wanted transfer money from abroad to my account and that was not possible as the account was blocked. When phoned metro they said is nothing wrong with it… had to give up on that point. Life is too short to deal with these kind of banks. Not sure what happened with them. Few years ago my experience was good with them but now even the one star is generous

Shocking bank

Shocking bank. Refusing to pay my money. They have made me feel like a criminal Keep moving the goal posts.

Metro Bank Pathetic Service 🐕‍🦺

Metro Bank couldn't resolve a straight forward deposit into my account which came in from my colleague and friends yet I used much more than he lend me over a period of a week blocking my card and my account, leaving me no funds to buy food or travel or anything. Even after several emails the the specific fraud team with the person lending be the money on the email they still haven't removed the block and I am still without funds to live.

Metro Banks support team and customer service seems to be a place where things work according to Thier pace and Thier weak infrastructure and even worst Barber shop mentality .
I urge anyone to reconsider joining them and research other banks..no wonder Metro bank have fewer branches .

Pathetic and hope what they putting me through they would loose a million times over.

Never Call Back

I have been trying to get access to get access to my account since APR 6. Every time I call I am told that someone will call me back and they never do. So far I have been waiting 22 days to access my account. Given that Bank Holidays are coming up I guess it'll be another week of waiting. This is the most unprofessional organisation I have ever dealth with!

Metro bank is worce bank in uk we been with metro for 10 years recently I been away to Australia with no reason they blocked my card and then starting asking about who’s people in uk I transfer money are year ago where did you get a cash you put in your account to be honest that’s a stupid thing I ever herds I decide to close my bank that is disrespectful act from the bank I strongly advised to costumer open the bank account some where’s safe metro will freeze your money you can’t trust the bank where your money not safe and also every month I had to get a new card because they keep blocked the cards they give us lot stressed make sure you open British bank account like Halifax are Barclays metro is American bank and your money not safe they will keep asking you about your money and where come from even they can see where the money gone are coming in your account that’s absolutely disrespect to costumer’s who they need to trust

Been with bank when they 1st started…

Been with bank when they 1st started out .needed help with a fraudulent transaction was given poor advice by member of staff when this could have very easily been avoided . All this over a £1.77 payment has now cost me a days work £225 and the upheaval of resetting my whole account .shocking behaviour

Unfortunately,not the kind of service…

Unfortunately,not the kind of service available that was offered at the start of the business. Metro bank in high Wycombe, England, has lost the quality quite significantly. To open an account for my 11year old,who already has a young savers account,I was given new information every time I visited up until round 6. Being patient is not a problem for me but rude and arrogant behaviour towards a customer is not something tolerable. I was told by a member of staff that I never saw them two days ago and that member of staff was not even working on that day. I had to take my child to my old Barclays bank and got the job done in a much politer manner. Not to forget,they were also very busy this morning. Advice for new customers, think before you decide to bank with metro in high Wycombe.

Rubbish bank

Rubbish bank. Want 90 year old in laws to drive 200 miles to change their address even though they did it in branch before they moved.
Unhelpful on phone, no email contacts, online systems poor.

Important payment on hold why? Why did Metro not ring us?

Online banking set up is impossible and takes forever. We have wasted so much time on the telephone trying to access our money. When we finally gained online access we did a £1.00 test payment to make sure our money was received by the correct bank/payee. All correct. So went ahead with actual amount we needed to pay to today to the same already tested account. Received a text saying payment on hold until we ring Metro! Spent 20 minutes waiting for an advisor then bank closed 8.00pm furious pretty much wasted afternoon and important payment still not made. Just appalling. If a problem why not ring us? Just hope we can access our money tomorrow. Very upsetting and totally unacceptable.

Metro Bank has extremely rude and…

Metro Bank has extremely rude and unprofessional staff, very poor customer service and not friendly policies. Actually they have structural racist policy. I have never seen so badly mannered Bank in my life like Metro Bank. I will not recommend either my enemy to have anything with this unserious and time wasting Bank. I am very disappointed.

They STOP you to get your money

I left UK for a holiday, tried to pay for a visa, however the transaction was declined.
Even I wasn't able to withdraw money using any ATM.
Contact the CC, They are very good for apologise, and sorry to hear that and take care.
No metro bank any more

Don't do it yourself

Don't do it yourself, have some respect for yourself and join a normal bank!! I cry a little bit everytime I have to go into metro bank, I just don't understand why the staff look like they are going to stand in a police line out, and address customers like there 'on the block' ?? They might as well come to work in grey Nike tracksuits.. I'm working hard to change my bank.

Metro Bank its a rubbish bank I never received my wedges on time with then they always making interest with your money then they release your money and when ever I called in customer service they making us like a fool I had a LLOYD'S BANK account last 9 years I never had a issues seens I joined metro Bank omg I am going back to the LLOYD'S bank again I never recommend it open in metro Bank account

Quick to throw you under the bus

Quick to throw you under the bus. This Bank is ruthless after twenty years of business account they withdrew the product and increased the interest costing additional £650 per month, wont listen to any plea. I would avoid opening account with this bank.
