I am a Loughborough based wedding and portrait photographer, covering Leicestershire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and beyond. Photography has been a passion of mine for much of my life and I love the opportunity it brings for me to be creative and use my skills to produce striking images that evoke emotion. A lot of photographers will talk about their particular 'style' and showcase images that represent this. I prefer not to label myself in this way, instead I would describe myself as being 'adaptive' to suit the needs of the different people that I work with. As such, I have a relaxed approach to my photography, taking account of the wishes of my clients. For example, I am equally at home documenting a wedding from a candid perspective as I am planning and creating those 'wow' shots. I always listen to my clients so that I can provide you with a collection of photographs that represents your vision and personality. You will see this reflected in the examples of my work in my portfolio.

Fantastic photographer - could not have asked for anything better
Matt and Joy are both brilliant photographers. I asked for recommendations on a local Facebook page and several people tagged Matt Allen photography. I looked through several wedding photographers and Matt’s page stood out as I preferred the photos that were on his website. The costs of the packages were also reasonable compared to others that I had looked at.
Before the day, you have the chance to meet and discuss what type of photos you would like and who you would like photos with. This meant on the day, the process of getting different people in for photos was as effortless as it could be! Matt also listened when I said I wanted less photos of the bridal party getting ready before. Therefore he had more time at the reception to take photos of guests dancing after the first dance as well as the bouquet toss which is one of my favourite photos!
Several wedding guests commented on the day that they were impressed with Matt and Joy and thought they were brilliant. I look back on the photos and I could not have asked for anything better. If you are looking for a wedding photographer, I would recommended Matt to anyone, you will not regret it!

Brilliant wedding photographer
We are so grateful to Matt and his team for supporting us through our wedding day.
During our pre wedding meeting Matt listened and understood what photos were important to us to be captured.
Matt came up with some brilliant photo opportunities making the most of the winter weather and setting.
The photos tell the story of our special day from beginning to end so beautifully, and we will be forever thankful we chose Matt to be our photographer.
We absolutely recommend Matt to anyone looking for a photographer for their special event, the packages available to choose from are fantastic and excellent value for money.

Fantastic wedding photographer!
Matt was the best choice of photographer for our wedding. In the weeks before, communication was great which really put our mind at ease and gave us one less thing to worry about on the day. The consultation session beforehand ensured that he knew what we wanted. On the day itself he was brilliant, organised, polite, great with the guests, everything you could wish for. And the end result was perfect, Matt captured our day just the way we wanted, we're so happy with the photos that he took.
