Matt and Joy were great and put us at ease on our wedding day. They listened to what we wanted, didn’t make us do shots we felt we didn’t want, and were quick at taking photos so we could be present with our guests at our wedding. The whole process before the wedding was great - Matt was super friendly, quick at getting back to any of our queries, and never put any pressure on us. On the day, Matt and Joy were a pleasure to have with us. They showed us what poses worked well and it was helpful that they could show us what to do.

We got a few photos the day after our wedding which was great to be able to show our friends and family. Now we have our whole wedding album back and wow, we love them all! Super natural, happy photos which captured our day perfectly. We’ll cherish them forever!

Matt and Joy were fantastic!

My now wife and I met Matt and Joy at a wedding fair at the Marriott Hotel, Leicester. We instantly knew they were the guys we were going to book. They just felt right and filled us with so much confidence that they'd give us the best service we could get - and we weren't wrong.

During the lead up to the wedding we had a few casual chats with Matt and a final video call to confirm everything we wanted and the images we wanted to capture which was good, again filling us with confidence that Matt and Joy were going to do an outstanding job, which they did.

On the day they really helped make it run smoothly and in line with our pre planned timeline which was a massive help. They were very friendly with our guests. They took us away for couples photos every now and then which meant we got to spend more time enjoying our wedding night with our guests as opposed to leaving the party for one long slog of couple photos which we really liked.

We got the photos around 7 weeks after the wedding... They were stunning. We couldn't quite believe how many photos there was and how good they were, everybody that has seen them has commented on how good they are.

Overall, I would 100% recommend Matt and Joy to photograph your big day! They were brilliant and as people they are really amazing, they weren't like robotic photographers that were just there taking photos, the way they engaged with my wife and I it felt like we had 2 of our guests that we'd known for years taking our photos. If we were to do it again we'd certainly choose Matt Allen Photography.

I absolutely love my pictures from mine and my husbands wedding day I knew they would be good from when they were my cousins photographers but honestly im so thankful I chose Matt and Joy to be our photographers they photographed everything we needed and more !!

From the very beginning, Matt was in constant communication with us, making sure he understood exactly what we wanted and offering his expert advice along the way. We used Matt Allen photography for our wedding day. We had an initial phone call followed by a meeting face to face and from the first day we met and throughout the wedding day we felt at ease. We can’t fault Matt and Joys work and their kindness. It was important for us to have natural shots and our day was captured perfectly as we asked. We had the best experience with Matt & Joy as our wedding photographers. We first met them at a wedding fair and booked them straight away as we loved their photos and their overall demeanour. Matt answered any questions we had during the lead up to the wedding and made sure he knew what we wanted. On the day Matt & Joy blended in well with our guests and made everyone feel at ease. Nothing was too much and they had great banter with everyone! They both also gave me and my bridesmaids great support during the getting ready process (which was quite stressful with 7 bridesmaids and 2 young flower girls!) When we received our photos we were over the moon with them! They were beautifully edited and I can’t stop looking at them! We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better photographer! From the very beginning, Matt was so helpful - even going out of his way to update us about an issue with our venue after speaking to a registrar at another wedding. He kept in touch regularly and made sure we were fully informed in the run-up to the day, and the pre-wedding call was fantastic for helping us feel prepared and relaxed.

On the day itself, Matt immediately put us at ease. His familiarity with the venue really showed - he guided us through what to expect and had so many lovely ideas for shots. We’re both quite socially awkward and hate being the centre of attention, but he made everything feel completely natural and fun. He was also incredibly kind and patient with our daughter, getting her involved in the photos - she absolutely loved him! She even photographed him later on, on our instax camera, for a full circle moment!

Even though we had a small wedding and only booked him for a short time, Matt never made us feel rushed or less important. The photos are absolutely stunning — we’ll treasure them forever.

We would happily recommend Matt to anyone looking for a photographer who is professional, caring, and genuinely brilliant at what he does.

From the first time meeting Matt and Joy, we knew they where going to be our wedding photographers. They both have knowledge and a keen eye to detail. The communication from the start was great. Matt listened to what style of photography we wanted and nailed it. Matt and Joy took notice on the smaller details of wedding theme and colour theme and wore appropriate clothing, blending in perfectly. The pictures turned out great and where completed and sent to us quicker than we anticipated which was great! I would highly recommend Matt to anyone who wants a great photographer for there wedding day or any other event requiring a professional photographer.

Amazing photography.
Matt was truly amazing throughout the day! I hate having my photos taken but Matt made me feel comfortable and half the time I forgot that my photos were being taken. We are very grateful for the moments captured and inspired by Matts creativity. From our sneak peak photos we couldn’t be more happy with the photos and excited to see the rest! Throughout the build up to the wedding Matt was very helpful with timings of the day! If we had to do it all over again, we would 100% choose to have Matt again.

We hired Matt and Joy to photograph our wedding and wow, we have absolutely zero regrets. They did everything they could to ensure we got the photos we wanted but also they didn’t drag us away from our guests. So many of our guests said you didn’t even notice them there, they just blended in with the rest of the guests. From the beginning to the end of the day they made sure we were happy and we absolutely were. We have received our first sample of the photos and we were amazed with how good they are!

Matt was our photographer at our wedding in may and the results of his labour were absolutely mind blowing!, His attention to detail is impeccable and he captures the littlest of things that you wouldn't even think of. Such a laid back friendly person and you could see that photography is most definitely his passion and it shows in the high standards of his work. He made our photos run like clockwork.
