If you are looking for amazing photographers, look no further. My husband and I can’t speak highly enough of Matt and his lovely wife Joy. What an incredible team they are. They truly made our day special from start to finish. They are not just photographers doing a job, they truly care and want to make your day special. They strive to capture the best shots, memories, moments. Our photos are so natural. All of our guests commented how fantastic Matt and Joy were.
We received our photos a couple of weeks ago, and were completely in awe of every single photo taken. They captured our day perfectly and we will be forever thankful .

From first meeting Matt at a wedding fayre, to the planning meeting, the wedding day and through to receiving our amazing photos the whole experience has been perfect beyond words.

Matt has been the consummate professional who has shared his skill and experience without being, in any way, over powering. Many of our guests commented that they often did not know he was there which is a true reflection of how empathetic and respectful he is as a person and a photographer.

He made us feel really special on our day, putting everyone at ease and constantly looking for the next incredible photo.

The quality of his work was faultless. When we got our album we spent over two hours looking at every photo, remembering our perfect day. The composition and processing was first rate. Matt made amazing use of every part of the hotel grounds and the light as the day progressed. We have a fantastic set of both formal and candid photos which really tell the story of the day from start to finish.

We would not hesitate in recommending Matt to anyone who wanted a first class, professional and skilful photographer who so happens to be a really nice guy as well. You will not be disappointed.

Choosing Matt and Joy as our wedding photographers was one of the best decisions we made in our wedding planning. Our wedding photography was something that was really important to us. When we first met Matt and Joy at a wedding fayre not only did we love their work but they are also two of the nicest people you could meet. Matt is really great at communicating and he put together a timeline to ensure we got all the photos we requested. They were an absolute pleasure to have with us all day, I’m not great at posing for photos but they put me totally at ease. We’ve just received our gallery and they have captured our day beautifully. Thank you so much for being such an important part of our day!

We honestly could not have chosen better photographers for our wedding than Matt and Joy. From the very beginning, when we first met with them to discuss what we wanted from our day, they listened to absolutely everything and completely understood our vision. Nothing felt forced or generic — they genuinely cared about making sure our photos reflected us as a couple and the atmosphere we wanted for the day.

On the wedding day itself, they were both incredible. Not only did they capture the most beautiful photos, but they went above and beyond in so many ways that people don’t always see behind the scenes. Joy was amazing helping me throughout the day — from holding my dress up to even helping me change my shoes — and both of them made us feel so calm, comfortable, and relaxed the entire time.

They were also so patient with our dog Lucy while taking her photos, especially when she was being a complete princess and refusing to stay still for the pictures! They handled everything so calmly and managed to capture the most gorgeous photos of her that we’ll treasure forever.

The photos themselves are honestly beyond anything we could have imagined. They captured every emotion, every little detail, and so many special moments that we’ll treasure forever. Everyone we have shown the photos to has said how incredible they are and so many people have already said they would use and recommend Matt and Joy themselves after seeing our pictures.

We were also absolutely blown away by how quickly we received everything back. We got some beautiful teaser photos the very next day, which was so special after such an emotional whirlwind, and then our full gallery arrived only 5 days later — which is unbelievable considering the quality and amount of photos we received.

Matt and Joy are not only unbelievably talented photographers, but genuinely lovely people too, and we are so grateful they were part of our wedding day. If you are considering booking them for your wedding — do it. It was one of the best decisions we made and we are beyond grateful for memories we will cherish for the rest of our lives. Matt and Joy provided an absolutely incredible service on our wedding day and made us and our guests feel so comfortable - we absolutely love our photos and the turnaround was so quick! We can’t thank them enough and had such a nice time meeting them!

If anyone is considering having 2 photographers we cannot recommend this enough - it captured the entirety of our day and really went above and beyond our expectations! 😊

We first met Matt at the Wedding fayre of our chosen venue. He was helpful and friendly from the first hello. A lot of photographers can be too focused on the bride only but Matt treated us as future bride and groom equally and respectfully. We loved looking at Matt's work from previous weddings at the fayre as well as on Instagram so we knew he was the perfect choice.
Matt communicated through email in the lead up to the wedding as well as meeting in person to discuss final details 2 weeks before.
On our wedding day, Matt arrived promptly and even though we were both very relaxed, made us feel even more at ease, especially as it was a brand new experience to be in front of the camera. He spent time taking photos of our venue and decorations, as well as staged and candid photos and our parents. A lot of photographers focus on the guests however Matt purely focused on us. There is the option for Matt's Wife and photography partner to be there too to take guest photos as well but as we were having a videographer too, we didn't feel that we needed this option for 2 photographers. Matt took lots of photos outside of us in different settings and tried some new photography shots as well. Matt is extremely professional, easy to talk to and a fantastic individual whose love of photography and capturing the happy couple shone through.
Matt sent through some sneak peak photos the day after our wedding and created our gallery within a week so was exciting a week after our wedding to enjoy a glass of Asti whilst looking through our wedding photos as husband and wife.
5 star, 10/10 recommend Matt for your wedding.

Matt and Joy are incredibly talented. We was more than pleased with our wedding photos, they was absolutely amazing.
Matt and Joy are such lovely, funny people and so down to earth. They are so knowledgeable about what they do and so professional but also up for a laugh. Booking matt and Joy for our wedding was the best thing that we did.

Matt and Joy captured our wedding day perfectly, our pictures truly tell a story of the wonderful day we had. They both made us feel at ease and comfortable and staggered the pictures throughout the day which then gave us an opportunity to spend time together as a couple and take in the day.
Family and friends have complimented the photos and shared how well they captured us and the day.

Matt and Joy made the process of wedding photos simple. From first booking to on the day, they were easy to work with. Having Joy as a second photographer was a fantastic decision, not only are her photos great, but they worked really well together to put us at ease. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a wedding photographer.

Matt was suggested by the venue and we couldn't be happier with the outcome. We selected the gold package and the pre wedding meeting was really helpful in understanding how the day runs and to set out the plan for the day. Matt had some great suggestions for photos we could take and definitely put us at ease. We later upgraded to having a second photographer Matts wife Joy. The dynamic between the two and the extra pair of hands arranging shots and taking care of the wedding dress made for a really fun day. We had a really good laugh and felt supported throughout the day. They were really efficient getting the photos, taking weather and comfort into account while taking some amazing photos. As we were having a January wedding Matt and Joy had contingency plans for every potential outcome which really helped the day run smoothly and allowed us to spend time with friends and family. We could not recommend Matt and Joy enough, we have friends who attended the wedding who will be using Matt for their wedding after seeing how well they worked. What an incredible team! Matt and Joy were perfect and helped capture the best day of our family’s lives. 10000% best decision we made having them both there to capture as much of the day as possible. The 1,040 photos we received were beautiful, each and everyone of them. We had a very detailed video chat with them before that suited my partner’s busy schedule and several emails to make sure every detail that was important to us was done on the day. They were the best blend of taking control to get the best shots we haven’t thought (like the veil toss)or and blending into the background to get the candid photos we wanted. Very calming and fun presence to the day and helped in anyway they could. They also gave us the access to a very clear and easy to use galley to view them on once they were done editing them. Honestly can’t thank them enough for all their hard work.

Matt and joy were incredible throughout the entire process! From the initial booking where we sat down and went over some of their previous work to look at their photography style and ensure they were a good fit for what we were looking for, they were so friendly and eager to answer any questions we had.

We then set up a day to go to the venue together so that they could scout out good spots for candid photos and get together a plan for the order we would do things in on the day and ensure everybody was on the same page. Their communication was amazing between booking and the wedding itself, they made sure to keep in touch with myself and the venue to ensure timelines were communicated between everyone.

On the day they arrived promptly at the agreed time, took some amazing photos of all of us getting ready and then went to go and get photos of the rest of the venue all decorated. I booked a package where I had both Matt and joy there and I'm really grateful that I did as it meant we got multiple angles on all of the special moments. Myself and my husband are both quite young and haven't attended many weddings, so it was really helpful to have someone that knew what they were doing to tell us what positions to get into and find the best locations for some amazing photos. I also have my dogs there and they were amazing at getting some lovely photos of the dogs to remember the day.

All in all, I'm incredibly happy that I chose to have Matt and joy as my photographers, they were absolutely amazing, really well priced and I couldn't be happier with how the photos have come out!

Honestly phenomenal service from Matt and Joy. Matt phoned me to discuss as soon as I made an enquiry, arranged a pre wedding meeting to go over details and expectations and was so calm and clear headed on the day.

We really felt as though we got value for money. What was priceless was having someone so experienced and assuring lead us throughout the whole experience.

Matt and Joy are genuinely lovely people who were born for this job. Do not hesitate in booking them.

Matt was incredible from the first time I met him, gave good insight, never made me feel uncomfortable and was great at communicating and being extremely understanding in some changes of my circumstances. Considering I hate my pictures being took Matt and Joy made me feel extremely comfortable and I'm so grateful for them, we have received all of our pictures (and there were lots) but truly captured our wedding day perfectly, and got all the shots we asked for, thank you both for everything we appreciate everything keep doing what your doing your both awesome x

We honestly could not have asked for better wedding photographers than Matt and Joy. They captured our day so beautifully and in such a natural, thoughtful way.

One of the things we appreciated most was how they gently took us away for short periods throughout the day. Those calm ten-minute moments away from the chaos gave us precious time together as a newly married couple and really helped us stay grounded and present.

The gallery itself was incredibly easy to navigate and such a lovely touch that our guests were given their own links to view the photos afterwards. Everything felt well thought through and genuinely centred around making the experience stress free.

Matt and Joy are just the loveliest people and a real pleasure to have around on such an important day. We would recommend them every single time without hesitation. The platinum package was also very reasonably priced for the level of care, quality and professionalism we received.

Upon our initial encounter with Matt and Joy, it was clear they were the perfect choice for capturing our wedding moments. Their expertise and sharp attention to detail stood out immediately. The communication from the outset was excellent. Matt carefully considered our preferred style of photography and executed it flawlessly. Both Matt and Joy were attentive to the subtle details of our wedding theme and color scheme, dressing appropriately and effortlessly blending in. The resulting photographs were fantastic and delivered sooner than we expected, which was a delightful surprise. Matt and Joy were great and put us at ease on our wedding day. They listened to what we wanted, didn’t make us do shots we felt we didn’t want, and were quick at taking photos so we could be present with our guests at our wedding. The whole process before the wedding was great - Matt was super friendly, quick at getting back to any of our queries, and never put any pressure on us. On the day, Matt and Joy were a pleasure to have with us. They showed us what poses worked well and it was helpful that they could show us what to do.

We got a few photos the day after our wedding which was great to be able to show our friends and family. Now we have our whole wedding album back and wow, we love them all! Super natural, happy photos which captured our day perfectly. We’ll cherish them forever!

Matt and Joy were fantastic!

My now wife and I met Matt and Joy at a wedding fair at the Marriott Hotel, Leicester. We instantly knew they were the guys we were going to book. They just felt right and filled us with so much confidence that they'd give us the best service we could get - and we weren't wrong.

During the lead up to the wedding we had a few casual chats with Matt and a final video call to confirm everything we wanted and the images we wanted to capture which was good, again filling us with confidence that Matt and Joy were going to do an outstanding job, which they did.

On the day they really helped make it run smoothly and in line with our pre planned timeline which was a massive help. They were very friendly with our guests. They took us away for couples photos every now and then which meant we got to spend more time enjoying our wedding night with our guests as opposed to leaving the party for one long slog of couple photos which we really liked.

We got the photos around 7 weeks after the wedding... They were stunning. We couldn't quite believe how many photos there was and how good they were, everybody that has seen them has commented on how good they are.

Overall, I would 100% recommend Matt and Joy to photograph your big day! They were brilliant and as people they are really amazing, they weren't like robotic photographers that were just there taking photos, the way they engaged with my wife and I it felt like we had 2 of our guests that we'd known for years taking our photos. If we were to do it again we'd certainly choose Matt Allen Photography.
