I’ve purchased a tv from John Lewis…

I’ve purchased a tv from John Lewis twelve months ago and I’ve had a reacquiring fault within three months of purchase . But John Lewis only send tv to Martian Dawes first time repair tv was left in a room turned on but nothing was done to tv two months ago same fault occurred and screen was replaced and I hoped that would be it but here I am again same fault and screen replaced for a second time . I’m not a tv engineer but surely if a fault self fixes after a few days it’s possible the motherboard. And to add insult tv was supposed to be returned
Today
But it’s not on the van and it’s been lost apparently it’s on another van not on my route but they won’t know that until all the vans come back tonight .
Thought that I’d update I have tv back after second screen replacement but unfortunately the repair failed after twenty four hours and I have phoned company to tell them this so I’m back to square one

Second repair failure on a fridge freezer

Second repair failure by MartinDawes on a fridge freezer.
1st was September 2024.. they turned up (engineer was very nice and helpful and polite) He sent the request for the parts while at my house and it said 2-3 weeks for delivery.. meanwhile my FF is leaking water.. 3 weeks later I called and they took 3 DAYS to answer the phone and said they couldn't get the parts so would give me an exchange.. That took 3 MONTHS finally being delivered mid-December.

3 weeks ago the door sensors on the replacement FF (I have had 7 months) stopped working on the fridge so it bleeps CONSTANTLY saying the doors are open when they are not and the light doesn't come on inside because it thinks the doors have been open for now nearly 5 weeks and the water jug/filters do not work because the jug refills when the door is closed.

I booked a repair for 5th August, the next day they changed the appointment to the 12th August without discussing it with me... they didn't turn up. They called while I was busy so I missed the call. I checked yesterday and it was still saying they would come today (12th) I tried calling to check a time because I am busy.. no reply.. I emailed, no reply.. I called Samsung who were beyond useless and I emailed MartinDawes again because they've ignored my last 2 emails so third time is a charm right?

Samsung said they had emailed MD and they would get back to me in 48 hours.. useful :/ .. and 'rearrange repair' ... I don't want to rearrange it.. I want them to come when it is convenient for me, the date and time I chose.. not when they can be bothered.

There is no customer service because they ignore all methods of communication. There is no after sales because they ignore everything. The warranty from Samsung is worthless because they do not use reputable engineers and no repairs get done.

I store my child's medication (insulin) which needs to be kept refrigerated, I have children to feed.. and of course, middle of the school holidays!

We all have better things to do than chase a company who is not in a contract with us, they are in a contract with Samsung and as customers we should not the ones having to chase engineers. We are given specific dates to book then they are not honoured. I have had that 1 phone call over the 2 weeks since booking the repair.

Shockingly poor, unprofessional practices by a scam of a company.

If the FF wasn't so darn expensive I would buy a different brand.

AVOID SAMSUNG BECAUSE THEY ARE USELESS WHEN YOU NEED A REPAIR!!!

Very happy with the repair of my T.V by…

Very happy with the repair of my T.V by Martin dawes. All the staff were good and it was collected, repaired and returned/delivered in under a week (Obviously it depends on parts availability and other factors so maybe some luck for me) . You get a collection time window of within a few hours and a live update marker so don't have to wait in all day and most importantly to me they stuck to everything arranged 10/10 service. Happy to leave a good review for them.

I had problems with faces being blue on…

I had problems with faces being blue on my Qled Samsung tv. Glenn the engineer was fully knowledgeable, helpful and friendly and was able to fix issue without any problem and it is only due to Glenn as other engineers I had out a week ago had no clue. So a big thank you I will be asking for Glenn every time 🤩😍

Fabulous service once again

Fabulous service once again. Engineer polite clean and tidy very knowledgeable . No hesitation to use this company again. Customer service very helpful. Great to speak to a real person.

Got in touch with John Lewis about a…

Got in touch with John Lewis about a faulty oled tv who use Martain Dawes. Appointment arranged they came out said faulty main board and power supply, took three weeks for parts then came to my home fitted the parts and I now have a working tv again 5* service.

Perfect service

Was referred by John Lewis for a repair to a Microwave Combi via Panasonic. Was contacted very quickly, arranged delivery the same day on Thursday Dawes had it over the weekend phoned me on Monday and delivered it back (about 60 miles) on the Tuesday smack on time. Communication clear, concise and courteous. The repair has also worked. Perfect service

Appalling customer service

My Samsung television suddenly went dark down one side. Spoke to Samsung and they gave me a number for Martin Dawes who they said was their preferred repairer. Spoke to them and described the problem. Had to pay £99 upfront labour costs and they would come and pick the TV up, diagnose the problem and call me with a price to repair. If I accepted would then repair the TV and return it to me. If didn't agree would just return the TV. Made an appointment. Made an appointment for them to collect the TV the next day. Waited in the whole day only to receive a phone call at 5.15 to say the driver had gone home! This was a Tuesday, the next available appointment was Friday which I duly made. I also requested to speak to a manager as I was not happy with the missed appointment. Was promised she would call me the next day. No call received. Waited in all day Friday and had still not arrived at 5pm. Rang the office and an automated voice advised me office now closed till Monday. Rang Monday and was told the manager was in a meeting and I would receive a call as soon as she was free to discuss this awful service. No call received by 4.15 so I rang the office and was on hold for 45 minutes before the announcement office is now closed came on. Rang the next morning and cancelled the repair and requested a refund of my £99. I have endured overI a week with no television and am now back to square one. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy. Complete and utter disregard for customers and impossible to speak to a manager, I've spent almost as much on phonecalls as the I would have done for the actual service. Steer clear.

Great experience of their engineer…

Great experience of their engineer coming to fix my 7 year old Samsung fridge freezer. £100 call out fee covered several hours work, 2 visits and a part being fitted. Any other issues in 3 months also covered under that cost. Excellent service. Polite and professional engineers, tracking service for predicting arrival time.

Great service

Great service, purchased Samsung TV on a price match which was delivered within 24 hours of ordering by phone. Dealt with a guy called Kyle Preece who was excellent at his job, helpful, knowledgeable and went out of his way when he was clearly very busy to keep in touch with me during the process.

Callrd up said it would take 7 uo ten days now told it will not bebe ready until 19 days later not goof enough by any standard how long must you wsit f9r s hot meal if you want a good sservice do not use aol panasonic or mattin dawes

The purchase of my dishwasher and…

The purchase of my dishwasher and details of delivery was fine.

I paid for installation of my new dishwasher but realised soon after the delivery team had left that this had not been done correctly and one of the hoses was not connected to anything at all. I had to arrange another installation locally which is unacceptable .

On the plus side Kyle from MD customer service team called with sincere apologies and the offer of a delivery and installation cost refund which I am very happy with. He appreciated me highlighting my issue and will take forward with the delivery company.

I am very happy with my dishwasher, Martin Dawes and their excellent follow up and solution provided for my issue. Would be very happy to purchase from them again.

Item not shipped

LG Smart TV ordered online for following day delivery. Payment taken and order confirmed. No delivery on subsequent 2 days. Called to discover they had no stock. Was assured that they would call that day to confirm new delivery details. No callback.
Order Cancelled and Awaiting refund.
Now have email confirming refund ... but!

Shocking incompetence & no customer service

Utter incompetence from start to finish!! So much so I returned the washing machine. I ordered & paid for a washing machine plus package removal, disposal of the old machine & installed. It took a week to have the washer delivered & the 2 people that delivered refused to unpack, install & remove the old washer. I spoke to MD customer service team, they promised lots but suppled very little. MD & the logistics company expected me to store the new washer in my home till they could send a team to install etc. I’m afraid NO CHANCE. I told them to come & remove the new washer, which they after I threatened to leave it outside on my driveway. I had to do all the ringing around & chasing, it was a total disaster. I will never attempt to give either of these companies any business in the future & I will tell everyone who will listen about this experience.

I bought a Panasonic freeview recorder…

I bought a Panasonic freeview recorder from Martin Dawes, who offered it at the best price. It was delivered promptly and works perfectly. It is not as easy to use as my old Hitachi but does have more memory. I am very happy with it.

On the whole pretty good

On the whole my experience was pretty good. I had to send back my first TV for a replacement - not because it was faulty but because I wanted one with a slightly better spec. This was all accomplished pretty seamlessly. I would have given 5 stars if communications had been somewhat better. I was returning the first TV for a full refund, even though the website says I could have received a 10% reduction: this is great. But I was told that on the phone and didn’t receive an email confirmation, which worried me slightly. Then I had to call again to check my refund was in progress after the return of the first set, when I would normally expect an email confirming receipt of the returned set and a notification that the full amount was to be paid by a certain date.
