From our review of our correspondence, you hired us to respond to your office action for 97853186 BAE CAN'T COOK covering "printed cookbooks" that you filed yourself. You opted for our Guaranteed Office Action Response Service for $149.
Under the Guaranteed Office Action Response Service, we respond to your office action and if the trademark can not be registered we provide legal advice and assist you in filing a new trademark application that can be registered for no additional attorney fee.
As you explained to the attorney you only have a single BAE CAN'T COOK book. It is not possible to trademark a single book title, you must have a series.
While this is upsetting, an attorney sent you 5 emails and spoke to you on the phone in detail after reviewing your current use of the trademark. Other options were presented to you based on what you told us like potentially covering your online cooking videos or your line of spices and seasonings. All of these alternative paths forward could easily register and protect BAE CAN'T COOK as a trademark.
We met our service agreement requirements by providing detailed legal advice and options based on your trademark use. Despite your decision not to pursue these alternatives, there was substantial effort invested to guide your success. We assure you, no money was stolen, and any confusion about service deliverables was unintentional. We are certainly open to ideas as to how we can better explain the nature of our service beyond the video explanation and FAQs on the service webpage.
Unfortunately, we are unable to offer refunds after an attorney reviews your business in depth, writes multiple emails, calls you and provides a step by step plan on how to successfully trademark your business.
We’re fully committed to transparency, fairness, and ensuring our clients feel heard and respected.

The company you should not trust to handle your case at the USPTO
Markavo has little strength in its arguments against refusal.
It was a tremendous failure. I had a chance of getting my trademark approved, but these incompetent and amateur people did everything they could to prevent this from happening. Do not hand over your trademark to this company.
Terribly formatted, not worthy of a legal document, totally unprepared people who do not give the slightest importance to the client's trademark.
I am doing my best to make people see your incompetence.

In your case, you retained us to respond to a likelihood of confusion refusal for your trademark HYPNOS (Serial No. 98643288) covering “jewelry”—an application you originally filed yourself. The USPTO determined that HYPNOS (for jewelry) was confusingly similar to HYPNOSE (for watches) due to their phonetic similarity and the common industry overlap between watches and jewelry.
To advocate for your trademark, we prepared and submitted a detailed 10-page legal brief addressing key arguments, including differences in spelling, pronunciation, meaning, and pricing between the marks. We also cited 17 legal authorities and provided supporting exhibits to strengthen your position. This was done at a cost of $149, which reflects our commitment to offering cost-effective trademark legal services.
While we fought hard for your case, the USPTO ultimately upheld its refusal. When this happened, we informed you of your right to appeal to the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) but also provided honest guidance on the cost, time, and likelihood of success—ensuring that you had a clear and realistic view of your options.
Legal challenges can be complex, and while we always strive for success, no attorney can guarantee a win in every case. However, we stand by the effort, expertise, and advocacy we provided on your behalf. If you have any remaining concerns, we would be happy to discuss them with you directly.

I was so thrilled working with Markavo. We filed for re-registration for my business name after I'd lost it during the Pandemic. We ran into a snag, and Markavo was there every step of the way. It was easy to get ahold of them via email. This week, a random email showed up in my inbox. We were registered again! It was such a relief. At one point, they even sent a mass email to all their customers regarding a trademark rejection, which turned out to be a mistake. This unprofessionalism was frustrating, to say the least.
We initially used their services for a trademark application and later for a supplementary claim. Unfortunately, when the trademark was rejected, they not only refused to address our concerns but also appeared to block further communication with us. It's unacceptable for a company to go radio silent when their customers need assistance the most.
One major red flag: they don't allow Google reviews on their profile. This speaks volumes about their awareness of the mess they're creating behind the scenes. Stay far away from Markavo.com if you value communication, professionalism, and transparency in your service providers.

They give you very cheap trademark quote then later , they will slowly ask to cough up money
They ask 350 usd , when actual few of trademark is 250 usd , remember this will be told by them later at the stage when you make payment of their legal fees
Additionally they will ask you 40 usd for each of trademark filed by you for asking any verification code which is illegal and coersive
Don't gell their trap with cheap trademark
They are not worth it

Unfortunately, the customer service gave totally misleading and not legitimate information about trademark governmental fees, justifying why they need to file for $350 and not for $250:
"About 43% of trademark applications filed via TEAS Plus receive an approval without any refusals. Less than 15% of trademark applications filed through TEAS Standard are approved without a rejection. This means that there is a greater than 50% probability that a US trademark application filed via TEAS Standard will be receive a rejection that will require additional legal services to address."
After my own research, it appeared to be the opposite to what was mentioned by the associate above.
