It’s a story that began in 1775, when Jonathan Mappin opened a workshop in Sheffield. His mission was to create the most beautifully crafted silverware for British society.
Over the immediate years that followed, the company expanded internationally with commissions from Monarchs around the world. Synonymous with excellence, craftsmanship and all things truly British, the company was soon granted a Royal Warrant by Her Majesty Queen Victoria in 1897.
The Company has proudly held a Royal Warrant to each succeeding monarch and currently holds appointments as ‘Jewellers, Goldsmiths and Silversmiths’ to Her Majesty The Queen and ‘Silversmiths’ to His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales.

A deeply disappointing experience – unacceptable customer service Mappin & Webb (Regent St, London)
I ordered a ring in April and have spent months chasing Mappin & Webb for basic updates. Numerous emails went unanswered. Phone calls led to the same scripted response that “someone will get back to you” — yet nobody ever did.
I have now cancelled the order and requested a refund, but the most concerning part is the complete lack of accountability. Management appear to have no regard for customer service, no interest in resolving issues, and no responsibility for the failings of their own processes. Staff seem encouraged to simply wash their hands of the situation rather than address the problem.
For a brand that markets itself as a luxury retailer, the service has been anything but. An entirely avoidable and extremely disappointing experience service or dissatisfaction but would rather get the staff to wash their hands of a lack of service. This seems to be a recurrent issue at the Regent Street Branch.

Daniel Bell, what a star!
I purchased my first wish list timepiece from the Birmingham Boutique and it was a pleasure, thanks to the exceptional service from Daniel Bell. I purchased the timepiece back in February and it still amazes me every time I wear it.
Dan's knowledge is second to none and he made the whole experience not just for me, but for my family, one to remember. I'm grateful that it was Dan that was able to sell me the piece. I can't speak highly enough of him, he even went above and beyond fixing an issue with a screw on a time piece I had on at the time.

Absolutely disappointed with the company
I bought what I thought was a new watch. This watch was discontinued but still available with 5 year warranty etc. It was meant to be delivered within 7 days but was delayed..also DPD who delivered just left it on my porch..even though it was meant not to be just left. Now days with parcel theft it was unprofessional just to leave an expensive watch. Then once i opened it up..the watch was loose in the box. The protective film was just cling film not the usual protective plastic.. and upon examination the back had 4 scratches visible..not sure if they sent me the ex display watch which was much cheaper..so all in all I will not be buying from Mappin and Webb ever again.
My email has yet to be answered..i like the watch if not I would be complaining and requesting a refund. You live and learn.
Well after reading the reply from the company i sent an email to customer services..what a surprise no reply..3rd email in a row..you call them and you hold for hours .. my phone bill is higher than the cost of the watch..must be run by the orange clown...never ever buy from this company utter disgrace..only intrested in profit and not customer service...DONT BUY FROM THEM..RIP OFF MERCHANTS...

Order left inside trash bin even though everyone was home, didn't even ring. When opened, watch had a very short bracelet and no spare links, much shorter than the ones in the shop. Returning it.

Terrible service. Tried to call customer service numerous times; no response. I have emailed still no response. My order was delayed, but never informed. The ring was easy to purchase and was…
The ring was easy to purchase and was delivered within the time stated however the ring was sent by DPD. There was no requirement for it to be signed for and was left behind my house. Considering the item was almost £1000 I am disappointed and probably would not use the delivery service again.
