Sent thru pics and details to get a quote a week ago & chased up for an answer multiple times with no answer only to be told a week later after the damage has worsened they can't fix it. Appalling customer service DO NOT RECOMMEND. NEXT TIME PERHAPS YOU'LL GET BACK TO CUSTOMERS PROPERLY AND SOONER. FURIOUS WITH THIS COMPANY

I had my kitchen work top fixed? by these guys at a cost of around £300. Great chatty engineer, but the outcome was rubbish and i was told not to use cleaning chemicals on the kitchen work surface after the work was complete. OK SO HOW DO YOU SANATISE A KITCHEN WORK SURFACE and make it food safe ? (wish i could upload a photo to show you folks).

Tried to cancel the technician as we managed to rectify the problem.They have refused to refund any of the payment.Would be happy to pay £100 as a call out fee.Will expect the standard response but feel charging the full price is not justified.Still it seems the norm nowadays.Would not entertain using again.

Charged full day but finished the job in half and went onto another job. When asked for a refund with evidence including call records and cctv, completely ignored. Did not bother to investigate. They are running a scam. Don't use!

Phil.H came to repair a badly damaged window. He was a pleasure to deal with. Damage repaired skilfully with the utmost care to the highest of standards. He deserves the highest praise.

In February 2025, I paid £222 to Magicman to repair a kitchen worktop. I expected a professional, long-lasting result from a company that markets itself as a specialist in surface repairs. What I received instead was a repair that barely lasted a few months before visibly deteriorating.

The filler may still be there, but the colour and finish have completely worn away, leaving a patchy, discoloured eyesore in the middle of a kitchen surface. This is after nothing more than standard domestic use — no abuse, no heavy impact, just day-to-day kitchen activity.

When I raised the issue, Magicman refused to take responsibility. They blamed “end-user damage” without any real evidence, and ignored the fact that the finish clearly wasn’t fit for purpose. I sent photos. I explained the situation in detail. Yet their response was dismissive, templated, and unhelpful.

They also had the audacity to offer me a 10% discount to redo the repair — meaning I’d have to pay again (albeit slightly less) to fix their own substandard work. They wrote:
“We pride ourselves on the quality of both our work and customer service, and so will be more than happy to attempt a further repair and offer a 10% discount as a gesture of goodwill.”
If this is what Magicman considers “quality” or “goodwill,” it’s incredibly poor value for money.

Let’s be clear: a £222 repair shouldn’t be failing within 6 months — and a reputable company should stand by its work. Their refusal to honour the repair under warranty, or even properly acknowledge the issue, is deeply disappointing.

I also referenced the Consumer Rights Act 2015, which they chose to ignore.

I would strongly caution anyone considering this company: they do not stand by their workmanship, and their so-called “warranty” means nothing when you actually need support.

I contacted magicman regarding a damaged caravan worktop. I received an email and filled in the questionnaire and sent in pictures. I received an email in response to my pictures with a quote of £276 pounds. I phoned up and spoke to a lady who booked me in and I paid for the repair. Not once did anyone ask if I had power to my touring caravan that I stated was in a storage compound. I received another phone call with a date told between 1 and 3 pm and 4 hours to repair. I turned up at my storage unit and met the technician at 1pm who immediately said I can’t repair that as I have no power, bearing in mind this is a mobile repair company and not once mentioned 240v on site. He looked at the repair and said I wouldn’t be able to repair it anyway it’s too hard to match. After a few phone calls back and forth with his boss and myself on the phone to an advisor I said I would tow it to another location. I waited for the technician to finish his phone call to be told he wasn’t bothered what the advisor had said and he wouldn’t work after 4pm. The advisor phoned me again and asked if I would rearrange a date. I complained to no avail and rearranged another date with another day off work. I wrote a strong email regarding inconvenience and out of pocket but was only offered a refund if I wanted to cancel. I cancelled on the Friday and I am still waiting for a refund, I emailed and phoned with no response, I emailed again with a veiled threat of leaving negative feedback, I received a blunt email saying my refund would be paid in on the following Friday.
Please be very careful using this company, they only want your money with no regard to the quality of repair according to the technician , and will book any old work in. Very poor customer care, and in my experience with dealing with this company all round incompetent staff.

We have some some small cracks and dents on our tile floor. Our insurance company suggested we use Magicman as they are specialists in this area, so I sent in photos and they deemed they couldn't do anything about them.
"Updated" but since they have sent someone round and actually the result is amazing. We are really pleased with what they have done and the quality of work and patience shown was of the hughest standard.
I am hugely impressed with the result. Athough the initial response to my query was very poor, since then they have really been amazing and I would highly recommend.

I needed the granite around my kitchen sink smoothed out as there were a few chips and sent photos. When the technician came and saw what was required he said that the work wasn’t advisable as the chips were too small for the filler to stick and called his office to tell them l would require the £180 I’d paid in advance to be refunded. They refused the refund and told him to do the job. The filler crumbled away within two weeks.They have refused to refund me for the work that should not have been sanctioned in the first place.

Hillarys drilled holes into my UPVC window frames to fit retainers for chains. We were not aware prior to fitting this was required. Having had the blinds replaced as they also failed miserably, Magicman was booked by them to repair and I am amazed at the results...it really is like magic. Mattie who did the repairs was absolutely brilliant and deserves a raise!! However repairs are very new and just hope that in time, I do not experience problems as others have as I thought this would be a permanent repair. If it isn't, I will not be a happy bunny and will spoil all my good opinions.

Good inital job, however, started getting marks and fading quickly but refused to tell me what oil they used on our worktop so we have no idea what to use moving forward. I'd do it yourself so you know and can keep up.

Fantastic experience all round. From enquiry to booking the whole service was seamless, professional and friendly. The engineer (Martin) that attended was a pleasure, friendly and polite, worked hard and ensured the area was clean and tidy, and to top it off cannot even tell that the gloss cupboards were ever chipped. Well done all - highly recommend.

Just wanted to say on behalf of the Residents at Silver Gates Leeds that Phil, John & Kris have done absolutely fantastic job today in restoring our communal doors to like new.

They were very professional aswell as that they completed the job with minimal disruption.

I would highly recommend MagicMan to anyone who needs any surfaces repairing.

Magicman were appointed by our insurance company to repair a kitchen worktop which had been burnt with an iron. The repair was organised quickly and efficiently and the technician, Matthew was superb. What a true craftsman ! The repair is first class, you literally cannot see where the original damage was. We would highly recommend Magicman.
