Really dissapointed with no support

Really dissapointed. I understand that the circustances at the end of 2021 were not predicted, however I switched to the peoples energy with look after my bills to save money. They have now gone under and we’ve been swapped to a really expensive British Gas tarrif with massive bills! Waiting for the look after my bills to help us out like they said they would in their email in September to now see they have “paused”. So no help to find a tarrif cheaper than ours which must exist. Wish we hadn’t switched in the first place

Our service works on the basis that we will not switch you unless you are making a saving, we will always choose to move you to the cheapest available rate at the time based on the information we hold on the system for you.

Due to the rise in energy costs, Peoples Energy ceased training. Unfortunately this was out of our control.
Moving forward, OFGEM who are the energy regulators would have appointed a new energy supplier for you to ensure that you continue receiving a supply of energy to your home. However, once this switch has completed, you are able to switch away if you wish.

Due to the rise in energy costs we have unfortunately had to temporarily pause our energy switching service. When this decision was made we tried our best to contact our customers to make them aware of this.

We hope to be back as soon as we can access energy deals that are right for you and give you the great service you deserve.

Where are they when they are most needed?

All gone quiet since Peoples energy went under and I’m now paying more than ever with British Gas. I’m still owed £145 from peoples energy which seems to have disappeared. No help at all from “Look after my bills” and the only communication I’m getting is marketing spam.

At this moment, due to the rising cost of energy, many energy suppliers have been forced to remove their tariffs, including People's energy. This however was not expected and out of our control.

As Look After My Bills are an automatic switching service this means we deal purely with the switch and cannot act as an agent on your behalf regarding any billing, faults or complaints. We do not have permission to speak on your behalf so this does need to be dealt with directly by your new supplier. We're really sorry we can't be more helpful with this situation.

Unfortunately, we have had to temporarily pause our energy switching service, but we'll be back as soon as we can access energy deals that are right for you and give you the great service you deserve.

Not that impressed overall.

Since Green went under a few months ago, I was moved to Shell Energy (as with all Green customers I believe). In December I ended up paying Green AND Shell Energy. I have tried to contact Green but they suggest speaking to Shell, but Shell say that things have not yet been fully transferred over from Green as yet.

I reached out to Look After My Bills on Twitter in December but have had no response at all.

Also when we initially signed up to Look After My Bills, we were put with People's Energy another company that has now gone). After about 2 months they put our price up, which seems to defeat the whole point of Look After My Bills. Not that impressed overall.

Thank you for getting in touch and we sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Due to the recent energy crisis, some suppliers have unfortunately ceased trading, Green Energy were one of these suppliers.

As a result of this, OFGEM who are the energy regulators would have assigned you to a new supplier. In this case it was Shell Energy. This is to ensure that you continue to have a supply of energy to your home.

Rest assured Shell are in the process of moving all customers over to them and setting up their accounts. Please be aware you will not be without energy during this time and you should receive a Welcome Pack from them once your account has been fully set up.

Once the switch has been completed you are able to switch yourself away from that provider if you feel they do not meet your needs.

I was with Utility Point then before…

I was with Utility Point then before Christmas looked into our bank to see a payment if £40 taken out by EDF I have tried to ring EDF only to be told they are working from home and very busy I have twice been on a online chat line and explained that we have no details of any account with them The have promised both times to send account details Received nothing Have on your site asked for help nothing Have now stopped d/debit which means as an elderly couple we could be cut off You put us in this situation so fill you should sort it

Not happy with LAMB

Not happy with LAMB, changed me to British Gas who are now sending me unpaid bills, thought this would switch as your an automatic switching service, now just getting it sorted out, no sign of any overpayment from previous company either. Think twice before using

Avoid

After having issues with getting refunded £240 from neon reef, due to paying a direct debit that paid for nothing as I was still being provided energy by eon next, I was eventually contacted by LAMB. I was told that british gas would be paying out refunds for neon reef as they were taking over the accounts. They had no record of me being an account holder but to wait a couple of weeks to see if I come up in the system. I have now contacted them after a month and still nothing. I have contacted energy advice Scotland and they have no record of me being on neon reef at all. So I am now completely lost as to how I collect my refund for a service that was never provided. Once again let down by LAMB and to top it off they still have no contact number so no way of contact.

LAMB made an administrative error by…

LAMB made an administrative error by switching the wrong meter when switching our supplier in early 2021. This has resulted in confusion and great concern as well as over a 4X increase in energy bills across two accounts. We alerted them back in April that we were being charged by both our previous (Green) and current (Together) provider and told to wait and the switch would happen and was simply ‘part of the process’. It did not. We have since discovered this was due to LAMB switching a second meter at the property in error, for which LAMB had no authorisation. Failing to switch the primary account away from Green, we were moved to a costly variable tariff at more than double the previous rate. The bills of this second account have also been significantly higher since the unauthorised switching . This has been highlighted to LAMB on multiple occasions. We were initially advised to be patient as it was all part of the normal switching process, further attempts to contact have gone unanswered. The errors made by LAMB have resulted in months of confusion and concern, incorrect meter readings and more than twofold increase in energy bills prior to the energy crisis, and since then more than 4X our outgoings in 2020. no help has been offered. We are now being billed by no less than 3 providers for one account.

We also just had ANOTHER £254 bill come out from Green and not added to our switched provider (shell) The error by LAMB has directly resulted in an over 400% increase in our energy bills with no way of contacting either LAMB OR Green! These errors were also highlighted to LAMB 6 months prior to the energy crisis and still not been dealt with!!

Poor

Switched to people's energy that have now gone bust, then switched over to British gas. Had no idea that LAMB has stopped trading at the moment and have now been hit with a large British gas bill. Not happy might aswell have stayed with Eon

I felt very ripped of

I felt very ripped of. The moved me to Green, but Green moved me to Shell. So I am charged now much more. It is not transparent, helpful service, but very dishonest and poor service. Now they don't help at all and peoplea are overcharged. Of course I understand current situation, but they don't help customers at all.

Bad points... the cost !!????
£11,000,000,000 program.
Or £420 added to every household bill.
And smets2 meters are going obsolete too.

There has been delay with some suppliers fitting smart meters over the pandemic as they are focusing on essential work, however, if you contact your supplier they will be able to give you more details on this and answer any questions you have.

Please help..I am getting mail from…

Please help..I am getting mail from both British gas and Peoples enegy..one this morning from people's energy asks for meter readings so they can sort out jubilee for the last 9 months so who has been gett I g £77 direct debit every month p!us I was well in credit. Who am I to believe please help...

Spam?

Keep getting emails, I can't recall ever signing up, I've never looked at any switching sites so not sure if they got my email from somewhere else.
I tried to unsubscribe but the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email actually linked to the office for national statistics site.
Reported for phishing and blocked, hope I don't get any more.

Very poor service

Very poor service! They are ok normally, but when energy firms went to the wall, ours did, they switched us, old company said we owed £12.60,then took our usual £75 & not refunded difference, then had bill from previous supplier, saying we owed £155 contacted LAMB & cannot get any response! Cost us a lot of money!

I’ve not had the best experience with…

I’ve not had the best experience with this company. They set my monthly payment lower but at the end of the year hit me with a massive bill to make up the shortfall, I have been trying to leave but there is no clear way to get out of the agreement

Can't find a phone number to speak to someone. My energy bills have risen from £90 a month to £160 a month. Is this the best deal?

not happy at all with this company,I…

not happy at all with this company,I have been moved twice and as yet not had any payment back from being in credit,which I was told would happen automatically,no one wants to know. I will not be recommending them to my friends!!!!
Just had a reply and it has absolutely nothing to do with what I wrote.
It's automated which is what I have read from other complaints.
As I said nobody wants to know,and I'm still waiting for my money !!!!

Never again.

Never again.

Switched me to green energy who no longer exist. Green energy also messed up my switch meaning I’ve been paying my old company and my new company since March, effectively paying for double energy which no one seems to care about. Green energy won’t sort it out and shell energy won’t do anything until the switch so complete. Emailed look after my bills just to be told they’re not helping anyone at the minute due to an energy crisis but they still have the cheek to send me emails advising me ‘ways to save this winter’ despite the fact I’m being financially impacted by their switch. Clearly do not care about the customer.

Best way to save? Avoid this company at all costs.

LAMB need to recommend companies that are reliable

Not only have LAMB shut shop, they have cost me money even before the energy crisis meant I was compulsorily transferred from Green to Shell. Despite submitting regular readings, Green disregarded them and used estimated readings, amounting to a huge discrepancy that's going to cost me around £250! LAMB need to recommend companies that are reliable as well as cost-saving.
