This company has cost me a lot money

This company has cost me a lot of money, I tried to switch to octopus energy they blocked the deal from going through, I could of locked into a fixed rate saving me hundreds if not may be now thousands of pounds. What an incredible massive mistake it’s been getting involved with them.

Really unhappy

Really unhappy. I wish I had never signed up. Even before the energy crisis we had problems where our information had been in a privacy leak which they insincerely told us.

Switching hasn’t been easy like they said it would and I’ve found the whole thing to be quite stressful. I couldn’t even figure out how to leave their service.

Our energy company they put us with went into liquidation so we are still in the process of getting switched. They told us to sit tight and trust them, it would all be ok. Heard nothing so googled them and they have stopped without even informing us, leaving us high and dry as prices are about to sky rocket.

So much for looking after us and getting us the best deal, you’ve just caused us more problems!

Are they still trading?

Look After My Bills company registration number 10888203 was dissolved on 4 January 2022. Why are they still sending emails or responding to these reviews? How can anyone leave a positive review? It appears they only worked with companies that gave a commision. Most have gone bust too. Where was their due diligence?

Spammers

Suddenly started spamming me out of the blue. Never heard of them & thankfully, after looking at some of their reviews, never used them. Never will. How did I get on their spam list? I have no idea.

Now lets see what their response it. "you can unsubscribe from our list at any time" ? well you need to have subecribed to be able to unsubscribe.

Do not use Look After My Bills

Do not use Look After My Bills - they bowed out during this energy crisis as they can't cope. I have now had to do all the leg work myself to secure I won't go bankrupt during this situation on energy after People's Energy went bust and LAMB backed off all communication. I think they are disgusting bailing on people in their hour of need. It's not on and I for one will not use them again.

When I joined LAMB the monthly charge…

When I joined LAMB the monthly charge was about £70 within a few months it jumped to £280. When my company went bust I was in credit of about £700. I’ve now been transferred and my charge is now £360.
Look after my bills! Don’t make me laugh!

False information provided

Moved last September, had an email saying I was on a fixed tariff with a direct debit. Had confirmation of this from LAMB. Contacted energy company when I moved in, had no fixed contract and no direct debit set up. How wrong was I to trust them. So unable to set up direct debit with new company as they want to take over £250 per month, so struggling on with variable rate and paying what I can when I can.

When making amendments such as moving homes we do put switches on hold. We do advise to set up an account with the existing supplier in the property so you can be billed for the energy they used before we switch you. We do not make a decision in regards to whether you go on a fixed or variable tariff with this supplier.

No response following email after email!!

I moved away from Together Energy in July 2021 (thank god I did!) on my own accord as they were horrific and notified LAMB that I wanted to cancel my account with them as a switch provider on the 2nd July however this was ignored, following more emails from LAMB I emailed again 8th October and just got an automated email, emailed LAMB again on 20th January 22 and yet another automated email and no action! Yesterday I got an email from LAMB saying that British Gas will be taking over as my supplier from Together Energy so I have sent yet another email as their phone lines have been switched off....LAMB, please answer my emails so I can get this sorted!!!!

Reading your feedback, it looks like you have completely closed your customer services department as well as shutting your phone lines down as this is clearly an automated response and it has no relevance to my comments, you have not read it clearly!!

Moving forward, OFGEM who are the energy regulators would have appointed a new energy supplier for you to ensure that you continue receiving a supply of energy to your home. However, once this switch has completed, you are able to switch away if you wish.

For any queries regarding your supply you will need to contact British Gas directly.

They cost me a fortune

I signed up for Look After my bills for energy companies after reading about them in The Times. And for the 1st time ever I signed up for a non-Big 6 energy company as they suggested. That decision has cost me £1,000.

What I hadn’t realised was the Look after my Bills only looks at the spot price of different contracts. They don’t look at Resilience or ability to withstand different events. As a consequence of their flawed recommendation I am now on a punitive tariff with one of the Big 6 as the company they recommended ceased trading as energy prices have increased dramatically in recent years. At EXACTLY the point in time when I needed price protection - when prices are increasing exponentially- they have left me severely financially exposed.

I can work out if one price is higher than another. That’s not difficult. And that seems to be all they did. They were seeking to save me £’s but left me exposed to a £1,000 loss.

Sounded good on Dragon's Den…ended up in the fire

Sounded good on Dragon's Den so I signed-up. The first switch generated a small saving. Then, they automatically switched me to People's Energy and British Gas Evolve at the same time. I had two suppliers as was in limbo. I assumed my account would eventually settle with the much cheaper British Gas, but it went to People's Energy despite my efforts to prevent this. I was glad when People's Energy folded, meaning I went to BG after all. I cancelled my account with Look After My Bills and in the end spent more money and more time using their 'service' than I would browsing suppliers in the 'old fashioned way'. The algorithm should have a quick and easy cancel and reversal feature.

Marketing beef dirt!

Had a credit with Bulb before agreeing to the LAMB contract. They switched me to Spark Energy, who are parent companies with OVO, who I've had issues with before and guess what, My DD doubled within 3 months to over £200 for electric and £130 for gas...
tried contacting LAMB several times to complain and was also advised them I no longer wisedh to be with Spark Energy, as OVO's service was shambolic back in 2018 and as their parent company, I wanted NOTHING to do with OVO or Spark Energy alike. They were advised of this before I agreed to their contract.

Now told by spark I have to stay with them for one year before I can switch!! or be fined!!
Ridiculous, I shouldn't have listed to the marketing beef dirt!

If I could give negative stars I would

If I could give negative stars I would. This 'company' are the worst imaginable. Not only did they set us up with a tiny provider who went under almost straight away, but they incorrectly assessed our usage which was passed onto the new provider and since then we've been paying for electricity and gas we didn't use and no-one wants to do anything about it, especially those timewasters at Look after My Bills who are happy to sign you up with people who cock up your finances and then don't want to know when the company is no longer around. DO NOT USE THESE FOOLS

Utterly useless

Utterly useless. Left me completely high and dry by claiming they couldn't help me switch again due to no information on my metering just before the company they had previously transferred me to went under. and then no communication since. You are not a customer of this outfit you are a meal ticket. Stay away...

And the response below does not address any of my dissatisfactions... The cock-ups preceded the current crisis but the delay caused by LAMB did enable the provider whom I had previously been transferred to to double my direct debit, take the additional money and immediately go into administration....
