I felt compelled to review Liqroo as, despite their low score on Trustpilot, I've had two perfect transactions with them, one just yesterday. They have been very up front on their website about how the current situation is causing problems with supply and staff. Perhaps the fact I live in London might be a factor in positive experiences where they may well have a larger network of staff/drivers etc.

I would only recommend people NOT to use this company. Waited 4 weeks for delivery and it was delivered incorrectly. During 4 weeks tried to email and call. No response. Chat was as good as useless as the people chatting did not have any information and/or could not make decisions. Appreciate difficult times and overwhelmed but they were still taking orders despite not being able to fulfill existing customer demand. Very poor communications, inexperienced staff and hopelessly unprofessional. Communication is a key factor in positive customer satisfaction and this company doesn’t have a clue unfortunately.

I ordered 12 bottles of beer and understand that with Corona virus there would be a delay of up to 10 days. I got a phone call after several days to say they were out of stock but would be able to deliver within the next 4 days. It actually took 17 days from order to delivery. Thankfully the delivery was completed, however!

Just posting to say this company is NOT a scam. As I see it, they’re just overwhelmed by the covid situation and have not managed this particularly cleverly. I had to wait a long time, in fact three weeks, for my order, chased them up frequently by phone, which they do sometimes answer, and by chat on their site. But the order came in full in the end. If you’re in a hurry for your items, this is not the solution, but if you can be patient, there’s a good chance they will supply what you need.

I was grateful to find a delivery service which works at a time when the supermarkets (who I usually use to buy beer and wine) have all delivery slots constantly booked, doubtless by the same greedy selfish people who bought out all the loo-rolls and pasta earlier in the pandemic. I feel lucky to have found an alternative which will actually still deliver to me.

I placed an order on 30/3/2020. Left messages and email requests for status updates during April, but with no response. I sent an email on 30/4/2020 requesting cancellation and refund - no response received. I went on their Chat function yesterday, but there was no reply from an agent, after a long wait.

I appreciate these are difficult times, but after the updated announcements last week on the Liqroo website on improvements for new orders, it seems this does not apply for overdue orders.

Very disappointed - I would not recommend this company.

Ordered on 30/3/20. Nothing delivered as today 6/5/20. No response to any emails. No refund so far.
Do not use. Total scammers. Took money but items not received and no communication at all.

Placed an order for beer on April 2 with a promise of delivery in 4-7 days, after weeks of waiting and no communication I received a phone call telling me that they could not get the brand I wanted and offering me a refund. A week later I get a text telling me my beer was on it's way. After waiting 5 weeks my beer finally arrived. Not a good experience.

SCAMMERS! I worked for these people a year ago and they still owe me 2.200$. Dont buy anything from them and these crappy “company” Ruhi Kaur is the name of the owner, she wont even answer you!

Placed order as they were advertising what I was struggling to get from other suppliers. Not untill order was placed was I informed there was a 10 day wait for dilivery. This was not a problem.
Order arrived, but not what I had ordered. Subsituted order for same brand but not what was wanted. Have tried several times to contact liqroo but have failed on all accounts. Will not be using them again.

Complete charlatans, took 3 weeks to part deliver. Have received no response to returns email. Every aspect of my order was incorrect, or incompete and they are no longer answering calls.

Quite simply - do not use. They will just take your money and not complete the order. The virus is no excuse for this level of service.

I finally received my order 6 weeks after placing it and with no communication in the meantime. Certainly not recommended.

I thought I’d been scammed, I placed an order on 10th April and they took the money for this quoting delivery with 10 days. 10 days later, nothing. I emailed numerous times, tried the web chat and tried ringing, NOTHING, no response at all. Next step was to ring my bank to attempt to get my money back. However, at the end of last week I received a standard, very apologetic email from them explaining why I hadn’t received my delivery and then yesterday it turned up as ordered. I think a little patience is required as they appear to have bit off more than they could chew. Hopefully things will improve from now on if their issues were have been sorted.

Ordered twice so far- Both orders received before expected due date.
Due to the current situation, I didn't expect quick delivery but was pleasantly suprised with delivery timing, service.. and the wine of course.

Ordered £250 odd worth. Arrived after 10 days or so. So not bad. However, an issue with the content of the order. Spoken twice with them

What a disgusting outfit i ordered 6 bottles of wine received 2 with the promise of the other 4 bottles for delivery never received them but they took full amount from bank never had the decency to return calls or answer emails what a disgraceful.do calked company DO NOT deal with these people have reported them

Obviously with the way things are going right now I can imagine they're working hard to get everything procured and delivered. My order came within the time they quoted me, which was a bit further out than normal. But everything's that way - great job and thanks for the delivery!

Took 4 weeks to deliver a case of beer that was supposed to arrive within max. 5 days. When my order arrived, half of it was missing with the note that I'd receive a refund. When I checked on the website, the product I wasn't sent was available at twice the price I'd originally ordered. Very disappointed.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. Ordered over £100 in bottles at the beginning of April, no word on shipment although during ordering it should have been no more than a week, even with the current issues. Contacted 3 weeks later to request a refund as the order showed 'unfulfilled' on the website, got an apologetic phone call the next day stating order would be with me that week. Gave them the benefit of the doubt-10 days later, nothing. Today I get an apologetic marketing email, asking for additional orders?? Checked the order, still shows 'unfulfilled.' Will dispute with the credit card company if the order isn't with me and correct by the end of the week. Don't sell it if you don't have it, or can't deliver it. That makes you a thief.

Why this “company” is still trading totally beggars belief..
Today I was refunded £160 thank you PayPal protection. PayPal have become aware of their incompetence and will no longer verify or be accountable for any transactions.
If you are stupid enough to order goods you will never receive please make sure you have a secure credit card ( to be refunded).

I have waited five weeks - 32 emails - helpline message and too many unanswered calls to count.

All to no reply

It’s a stressful time and worrying for us all at the moment. I strongly suggest this company cannot cope and should stop taking orders they do not fulfil. keep customers informed that they are never going to receive their order and promptly refund them.

This is, without a doubt, the worse buying experience I have ever had.

I submitted an order on 29th March and was anticipating a longer than 7-day delivery so waited 10 days before contacting them. I contacted them via their online chat facility (which took 3 hours to speak to someone) to be told that the items were being processed. When I asked for specifics, they informed me that they couldn't provide any.

Another 5 days passed, I contacted them again (another 2 hours waiting time) and was told again that the items were being processed.

A few days after (15/04), I decided to cut my losses and submitted a refund request via email AND contacted them via the online chat (again, another 2 hours wait) to let them know that I had cancelled my order and requested that they process the refund at the earliest opportunity. I was told that the online chat was not for refunds, but for orders - to which I replied that the order needs to be cancelled as I'm requesting a refund.

I received no correspondence via email confirming receipt of the refund request or for anything else. Until last Thursday at 3pm my phone rang and when I answered was told "It's the Liqroo delivery". I went down to meet the delivery driver to explain the situation and was basically told that I would likely not receive my refund if I returned the (incomplete) order now.

I immediately (well, with 2 hours' waiting time...) contacted the online help team and explained everything (again). They basically implored me not to return the order and said they would call me the following day to speak with my to make arrangements.

I never received the phone call. I still have the items in the boxed. I'll just finish by echoing what the majority of people have said on here. This company is a swindle. It's staffed by, what feels like, 3 people. Whoever owns this company is a cowboy who is overworking their staff and conning their customers.
