Honestly, everything has been top-notch. The deal we got, the shipping, customer service, and unboxing have all been excellent. I haven't been out on the water with MY Lift yet, but I have tried plenty of others and expect the same awesomeness.

You didn’t tell me until a week after I placed the order that the blowfish was out of stock and wouldn’t be delivered until some unspecified date in the future. Very poor communication.

I’ve never felt the need to post two negative reviews about the same company, but after a full month of trying to resolve an ongoing problem with my Lift 4 hand controller, I feel I have little choice but to update my previous review.
My experience with Lift’s customer support has been extremely disappointing. Responses to support requests were initially prompt, but once it became apparent that this was not simply a matter of user training or setup, communication became increasingly limited and ultimately failed to resolve the problem.
The issue appears to be related to the firmware relationship between the board and the **2022 Classic hand controller**. Lift’s instructions indicate that the controller should be capable of being updated through the relevant app(s). However, in my experience, I have been unable to update the 2022 Classic controller as instructed since purchase.
The consequence is now particularly serious: the firmware versions on the board and hand controller are no longer compatible, and the board will not communicate with the hand controller. The result is that a previously functioning Lift 4 system has effectively become unusable.
I have been advised that the apparent route forward is to purchase a newer hand controller at a cost of around **£700**. I find this extremely difficult to accept. I am not seeking an upgrade or a newer product; I am trying to get the equipment I already own working as it was intended to work.
I cannot say why this issue has not been resolved, nor can I say whether it affects all 2022 Classic controllers. What I can say is that, after a month of attempting to obtain a solution, I have not received one.
If Lift’s current software or firmware ecosystem means that a 2022 Classic controller can no longer be updated in accordance with its instructions, then in my view this is something Lift needs to address for affected customers rather than simply directing them towards a replacement.
I have been a customer who invested in Lift’s product in good faith. I would expect the company to stand behind that product and provide a reasonable solution when its own update process does not work as described.
At this point, my issue is no longer simply the technical fault. It is the lack of an effective resolution and the apparent expectation that I should spend another £700 to overcome it.
That is not the level of product support I would expect from a premium manufacturer, and it has significantly changed my opinion of Lift as a company.

The people at Lift are amazing! They’re not a bunch of outsourced help. I have 7 Efoil boards and if you need help it’s immediately given. With so many copycats out there I’m happy to stick to Lift. They’re pioneers in the industry and if you really want the best ride and quality don’t look further. Here in Maui, we’re the testing ground for wind and ocean sports. I want to know I’m on the best everyday I hit the ocean.

Repair was handled quickly. Email communication was confusing.

then it costed 600.00 just to get a new hand controller
lost entire summer waiting
now another 120.00 delivery charge

Customer service was not able to troubleshoot the issue related to the Efoil controller. We have four efoils and two of the four simply froze. One while someone was riding on the open ocean in Maui.

Customer service had strange response of turning the AA batteries upside down- which did not work.

Ultimately the customer service agent just said to buy two new remotes/controllers ($500 each).

Whole process took three plus months.
