Achat d'une paire de bottes Saint Hubert Héritage en 2019 juste pour la promenade de mon labrador environ 1 heure par jour. 6 ans plus tard, la semelle des deux bottes est coupée nette en travers au niveau de la voute plantaire ... et donc ça prend l'eau.
Je m'adresse au revendeur (grandchamp) pour un avis qui, après contact avec Le Chameau me disent-ils, s'empresse de considérer que c'est un problème Le Chameau qui de leur côté considère que les bottes sont usées (??). Entre usure, s'il en était, et coupure nette de semelles il n'y a manifestement pas de lien.
Résultat : aucune suite tangible et aucune proposition de quelques natures que ce soit.
Résultat bis : Je n'achète plus de bottes Le Chameau !

I own two pairs and both have split in sole and leak!!
Le Chameau are in complete denial and hide behind proof of purchase and the retailers. The fact is they made the boots and they leak so why won’t they do something about it?
I’ve told everybody in my fieldsports circle of friends and contacts to avoid this product and buy others. I’ve now moved on to Aigle and so far so good for a third of the price!

Purchased my 1st pair of vierznord approx 15yrs ago and they only just failing now.
Have recently purchased 2x pairs of vierzon for my adult children and both of them have failed within a few weeks. Both leaking slightly where sole meets the upper.
I have just replaced my original ones wot ha new pair so will see how they go- guessing it will be the last time we buy Le chemeau.
My husband has Aigle and they are worn daily without any issues.

Having been badly disappointed by other well known and expensive brands of wellies, I checked Le Chameau's website and was impressed by the level of detail about their manufacture. Initially, I bought a pair for my daughter, who needed a new pair in a hurry, and we were both really impressed at the accuracy of size, comfort, flexibility and strength. They were clearly lasting better than our previous brands, with no splits or leakage, so I bought myself a pair. 2 years later they are still a delight to wear on a daily basis and no signs of wear & tear. Also, we hadn't anticipated how good the sole's grip would be in thick, soggy, winter mud! Am now trying accessories - just gave my son in law the socks for Xmas and anticipate the quality will be just as high.

This company is positively evil. Trying to communicate with them is trying to communicate with an insurance company about a claim. You are put up against a wall. At best, they are just a rubber broker. Their products are unhealthy. being french colonist. They think they are it, when they are full of sh-t.
They do not care about the welfare of those who wear their products. Their boots are causing foot abnormalities. like most footwear manufacturers. They do not want to make improvements, but rather go on making money at the wearer's expense.
footweari s most important. le chameau is under review here. apparently chameau is French for. camel. a pack animal. Within this context, all the wearer is, is a pack animal that makes this companyy a profit, but enough of the criticism. The design of the boot is mishappen. too narrow in the toe area. which leads to cramping of toes. which over time, causes bone deformation. another principal area is when the boot is put on. the ankle area has to be large enough for the boot to be put on. this ankle area is another area that causes gait problems. When walking in these boots, the wearer has to land each boot with every step, not on the toes, or at least, midsole, but on the heels, so effectively you are walking on your heels, very inarticulate. very cumbersome. Do not take my word for it try it. Rubber boots are heavy, which emphasises the need to land on your heels as you walk. effectively the boot is loose around the ankle area, so the boot(s) is trying through gravity to come away from your feet. Then subconsciously, you are walking on your heels. this in turn, creates a pumping action which can draw the sock down. to make matters worse. le chameau on their website. say that they have improved the design by making the calf area wider. This is not an improvement, but a necessity. A wider calf means more slack for the boot through gravity to try and come off the foot. neoprene lined boots can prevent thi then did this company make the cal area wider. reason eing, it helps get the boot off. neoprene lined boots can prevent this.
Walking on your heels can cause all kinds of bone and muscle problems. Le chameau will not acknowledge this. Le chameau does not seem to be human.
i for one, have been wearing. le chameau for along time, when i did not know any better. i have researched wellies and general footwear, and i know enough that Le Chameau wellies/ the chameau brand have gone from bad to worse. e.g., they are now marketing all kinds of junk. pointed-toe shoes, not to mention all kinds of weird stuff.
Rubber is supple, whereas synthetic wellies are not, but you pay the price in carrying more weight. Neoprene is a good insulator and works well in wellies. They bought out a lace up welly called Alsace. This did away with the wide ankle. Yet this company have discontinued this design.

Le chameau. will probably attempt to make a response to this review. which could go something like this.
We have a high score rating on Trustpilot. You are in the minority, so we disregard your comments. this in essence, is what their comment will probablyy put forward as a way, what they consider to justify their existence. true the material they use is fairly good. The workmanship looks ok. But their designs are deplorable. which is the straw that broke the camel's (le chameau's) back.
in response to this companys comment to the review that i have given. they have tried to isolate my phsyoogy as possibly not hat suitablefor le chameau footwear. yet what they have missed. is that i was coming from a generality; in that the human foot is basicall the same from person to person, ad i am no different, as said in my review. le camel. Or whoever they are, they are relentless. that they are unwilling to address the broad spectrum of the human foot, and. the relationship between the design of footwear and the human foot. that their design is too narrow in the toe area, and moreover, the ankle area. the toe area. This is easy to address. You just make the area a broader fit, in line with the shape of the human foot. The ankle area is a different matter. if you make the anle area. so to take up the slack, you cannot then remove the boot. There is no recourse, unless the boots have laces. Neoprene is helpful in this area, but does not remedy it.
Lots of people wear wellies because their environment means that waterproofs have to be worn.
Rubber wellies are a lot more comfortable than synthetics. so le camel gets a good write-up. If a survey is done i envisage that over 90% of people will have something adverse to say about the narrowness of their wellie. Any health board can see this.
This is the reason that this company is evil. who shirk responsibility for making their goods healthy. dammed they are. lets see your response le chameau

Hi purchased the cleaning sponge, wasn’t a great success unfortunately. Incredibly dry and you only get one application really and not quite enough for the pair of wellies.

Just what I need for the rain, bought as a Christmas present hope that I can now go out in the bad weather without having soaking feet . Quick delivery arrived next day , fit just as a normal 5 would be room to wear socks and able to tuck in trousers .

Le Chameau really went above and beyond to get the beautiful welly socks to my friend after a hitch on the part of the delivery company.

I am now on my third pair of la chameau wellingtons. The positives are that they are super comfortable meaning I can hike miles in them. The downside is that each pair has lasted less and less in their durability. My current pair I bought in June so have lasted 6 months. The seal at the top of the welly is where the water is seeping through. I ensured with this pair that they were stored inside and not left on the rack outside, so no sun or weather eroding possible. They’re too expensive to be buying a new pair every 6 months so will be finding an alternative. I wear for 1-2 hours per day as reference

These wellies lasted 5 months, not even the that. Purchased 2nd June 2025. Started leaking September 2025! Refused to replace under warranty as they had been warn on a farm. Even though they had not been around chemicals or misused. They didn’t even ask! £220 for a couple of months! Terrible! Cheap nova wellies last longer!

From the moment I contacted customer services, the communication was first class. Everything was done promptly the communication was clear and concise. Michelle was excellent resolving my issue and getting the new boots sent out.

Nous sommes clients sur plusieurs générations.

J'ai commandé une paire de botte en 44 chez le Chameau. En les essayant chez moi et en les portant en tout en pour tout 2 minutes entre ma cuisine et mon salon je me suis aperçu que celles-ci étaient trop grande.

Je vis à la campagne comme la plupart des gens qui portent des bottes et mon sol intérieur n'est ni de marbre, ni immaculé. Il y avait donc un tout petit peu de poussière sur les semelles blanches (bottes de marins). Mais il est bien stipulé sur le site que : " Vous pouvez essayer vos articles chez vous, en toute tranquillité." J'ai donc décidé de les changer en pleine confiance.

Or je viens de recevoir un mail de leur part comme quoi ils ne voulaient pas changer la paire car trop sale et "sentant le poisson".

Je suis vraiment scandalisé et je me sent insulté. J'ai des témoins qui peuvent attester du fait que je ne les ai eu au pied qu'un bref instant et en intérieur.

Je suis scandalisé, le Chameau n'est plus la marque d'autant. Les bottes sont "made in Morocco" sans aucune mention sur les pages d'achats des dites bottes.

Le service clientèle est déplorable.
