Breath of fresh air!!

Having bought and sold a few properties this has been my best service to date. Julie and her team are friendly, professional and perhaps most importantly they get the job done in exceptional time compared to others.
I'm currently selling a property using a different conveyancer than the purchase in which KMC Legal are dealing with, the purchase property was 4/5 weeks behind the sale property (due to when my offer was accepted) and now my purchase is ready and my sale is weeks behind.
Julie and her team are exceptional with communication and deal with things very quickly. This is the only time I've had a relaxed time when buying or selling I usually vow to never do it again. Would highly recommend!!

We had a very smooth and positive experience with KMC for both our new purchase and sale of our old property. Exchanges and completions went through on time and without a hitch. Rachael Webster was really helpful from start to finish and answered all our queries in a timely manner. We purchased a leasehold property, which can add complexity but Rachael clearly articulated the details throughout. Also, our completion went really smoothly on the day.

KMC were recommended to us by our estate agents to convey the sale of our late Mother’s home.
They were very fast and efficient getting us onboard with all the early documentation and form filling.
Everything is done electronically and updated on a portal.
The buyers didn’t ask too many questions and we didn’t have any issues in completing any requests.
My only complaint was that when it came to signing the contracts the information was incorrect. My witness had a mistake on his email address which meant he didn’t receive the contract to sign, his mobile number was entered with the wrong country code so he couldn’t authorise the app to sign the document. It all had to be edited and started again. It then moved onto my Brother whose number was registered as his home number so he also couldn’t receive the authorisation code and when it was changed was also listed with the wrong country code. The forms had to be cleared and eventually completed again.
The sale went through in 10 weeks which I’m told is fairly quick but given that we had already cleared probate etc I can never understand what takes so long.
Overall it worked well but given the need for attention to detail the last part towards completion did annoy me.
One final point, the buyers didn’t receive the keys until the payment was cleared which wasn’t until 16:30 but not sure who was responsible for this taking so long.

Can't fault KMC Legal from start to finish. Rachael was absolutely fantastic dealing with the sale of our house and buying our new one. Always kept up to date with phone calls and emails and sorted out a few last minute problems on completion through no fault of ours or theirs. Would highly recommend. Brilliant service.

I would not recommend KMC Old Swan. We found that we could rarely speak to anyone about our house sale. The relevant person was generally away from their desk, on a phone call, working from home or had simply passed on our file to another person...who was away from their desk. The whole process was very frustrating and even at the end we had to contact them a number of times for the final invoice. At least they were consistent.

Rachael was always helpful and got the job done. A few holds up out of her control but got all resolved when needed.

Absolutely awful. Avoid them like the plague. They sat on my case (buying and selling property) for a whole month and didn't progress the files at all! I nearly lost a buyer because of it. A number of staff are leaving the company and the files aren't being passed on. I didn't get all of my money back either. My new solicitor's firm are great and have restored my faith in the profession.

Being passed from person to person, with seemingly little comms during handover and slopey shoulders from our apparent case managers left us with an extremely poor experience. We were recommended KMC through our estate agent, but have advised them to not recommend in future, after they also heard from others of recently bad experiences.

I was lied to by the estate agent about how long was left on the lease.
KMC Legal FAILED to notice and inform me of the discrepancy in information between the estate agents advice and the lease contract.
This meant that I only found the REAL lease length when I was reading the paperwork to sign the sale!
The impact this has had is insane.
I thought I would have 5 years longer than I do to Renew the lease; the stress and financial strain this puts me in is unfair, as the discrepancy should have been noticed by KMC very early on.
They fail at attention to detail and are not thorough enough for the importance of the documents they work with.
Would advise you look elsewhere
