Estoy muy agradecida con Kanguro Insurance por el apoyo que me han brindado con mi mascota Gala. En momentos de mucha preocupación y estrés, para mí ha sido muy importante sentir que cuento con un seguro que responde, que ofrece atención en español y que se preocupa por sus clientes y sus mascotas.
Agradezco mucho la atención, la comunicación y la ayuda que he recibido con mis reclamaciones. Sé que pueden surgir errores o confusiones en algunos casos, pero valoro que exista la posibilidad de revisarlos y aclararlos.
Para quienes amamos a nuestras mascotas como parte de la familia, tener un seguro en el que podamos confiar significa muchísimo. Gracias a todo el equipo de Kanguro por el trabajo que realizan y por acompañarnos en momentos tan difíciles.

I'd honestly give this company 0 stars and their employee Jules and Sofia are incompetent and have very poor customer service. I've been fighting them for almost a month now to get two payments. They can't provide proper proof and despite the bank saying they never even received the refund they claim was processed and they refuse to help further. They had me deal with multiple different people for the same situation and all of this because they didn't cancel my policy when clearly requested they waited until after it charged me.

My first claim for reimbursement was…
My first claim for reimbursement was made on a vet bill specifically for the vaccinations and preventative care on the itemized receipt. My claim was rejected on the basis of “exhausted benefits” but I was only making a claim for a total of $84.20.
This company is happy to take your money, and reimburse nothing. Therefore I will not be renewing my policy. I’m better off paying the full expense of the vet bill than paying for both the vet bill AND an a monthly insurance payment that does nothing for me.

I got 2 new puppies so three days later…
I got 2 new puppies so three days later I brought them to the vet to make sure they are healthy. When there one of them had some yeast in their ear so the vet cleaned it out. The bill for both puppies was $628. They claimed the one that they cleaned the ears of was there for an illness which he was not. For the $628 bill they reimbursed me only $128. 5 days earlier they just took a payment of $101 for both policies. After them reimbursing me so little I called and cancelled both policies. Keep in mind I had just made $101 payment 5 days earlier, they only gave me back a prorated $31 . This place is a rip off. Go to some other company.

We understand how frustrating it can be when a reimbursement doesn't match your expectations, especially with a first claim.
Based on the details of your claim, the reimbursement was calculated according to your policy benefits. The preventive portion of the visit, including the wellness services for one of your puppies, was reimbursed. The remaining treatment related to the ear condition was processed under your illness coverage, which means your policy deductible applied before additional reimbursement could be made.
Regarding your cancellation refund, premiums are refunded on a prorated basis and are calculated according to the terms of the policy, including any coverage that was already provided before cancellation. This is why the refunded amount may differ from the most recent payment.
We understand this may not have been the outcome you were hoping for. If you'd like, we'd be happy to review your claim and policy with you again to answer any questions and ensure everything was processed correctly. Pésimo servicio y una falta de respeto…
Pésimo servicio y una falta de respeto total. Mi mascota sufrió un accidente, no me ayudan en nada prácticamente por un deducible de $500 que jamás me explicaron, y al quejarme por WhatsApp, su respuesta literal ante mi angustia fue decir que 'lamentaban la falta de comunicación' acompañado de un emoji sonriente (😊). Es una burla, una total falta de empatía y una crueldad hacia el dolor de ver sufrir un accidente a mi mascota en plena emergencia. Solo les importa cobrar, no caigan en este fraude." No recomiendo este seguro no ayuda.

Estuvimos revisando tu caso, antes que nada, queremos decirte que lamentamos sinceramente la experiencia que viviste.
Sabemos lo estresante y angustiante que puede ser enfrentar una emergencia con una mascota, y entendemos que recibir un reembolso menor al esperado haya sido una sorpresa y te haya generado frustración.
Después de revisar tu caso, confirmamos que el deducible de $500 se aplicó de acuerdo con las condiciones de tu póliza. Esta información fue compartida durante el proceso de contratación y también hace parte de la documentación de cobertura. Sin embargo, comprendemos que, al tratarse de tu primer reclamo por accidente después de dos años con nosotros, esto pudiera no haber estado presente cuando más lo necesitabas, o no haber sido claro, honestamente no es la experiencia por la que trabajamos diariamente y no es la experiencia que queremos que tengan nuestros clientes.
También queremos darte tranquilidad respecto al deducible. El deducible es el monto que el asegurado paga primero antes de que el seguro comience a reembolsar los gastos cubiertos. Este solo se paga una vez por vigencia de la póliza; una vez ha sido cubierto, no vuelve a aplicarse en los siguientes reclamos durante ese mismo período de cobertura.
Por otro lado, queremos ofrecerte una disculpa por el mensaje que recibiste por WhatsApp. El uso de ese emoji fue un error y no refleja el nivel de empatía, respeto y acompañamiento que buscamos brindar en momentos tan delicados. Ya estamos revisando nuestros procesos para evitar que una situación similar vuelva a ocurrir.
