Mr Balaggan continues to be a Wizard!

From my first consultation back in June 24, performing surgery on a fully developed Macula Hole to save my sight, followed by Cataract surgery in April 25 and most recently (yesterday) YAG Laser Treatment.

I can only highlight my previous review on 7th May 25, a true gentleman, highly professional, attentive, calm, kind and most importantly to me the confidence and trust I have on his ability as an excellent surgeon. I highly recommend Mr Balaggan.

Following a vitrectomy, carried out by Kam Balaggan, I am absolutely delighted with the result. Prior to the procedure, the vision from my left eye was severely impacted by ‘floaters’. Since the procedure, my eye is in very good condition and my sight is no longer affected by ‘floaters’. Before the operation, Mr Balaggan outlined the procedure, answering any questions I had with great clarity, in a professional and friendly manner. During the operation, he spoke to me throughout; talking me though each sequence in a calm and assured manner, ensuring that I was fully informed and reassured throughout the procedure. In the three weeks following the operation, two detailed examinations have demonstrated that the procedure has been a complete success. I am really pleased that I have had this procedure and I would thoroughly recommend Mr Balaggan as an eye surgeon.

Mr Balaggan previously perform surgery on both eyes in 2024 my left eye had an epiretinal membrane and combined cataract. My right eye just cataract extraction.my left eye needed laser surgery after but both eyes were fine. Recently my vision deteriated in my right eye and my optician (Nilesh Patel of Pinder & Moore Opticians recommended by Mr Balaggan) diagnosed posterior capsular opacification who kindly forwarded all scans and findings to Mr Balaggan. Mr Balaggans secretary kindly sent the information for private surgery for YAG laser capsulotomy at the Spire Little Aston Hospital. As always I found Mr Balaggan very kind and professional and explained the condition and surgery very thoroughly. You can see he is very passionate about his work and finds time for his patients which is very rare these days. I would thoroughly recommend Mr Balaggan if you are contemplating private eye surgery. Also thanks to Debbie his secretary for all her hard work too.

Mr Balaggan was recommended to me by my optician because of his expertise in cataract surgery. I had a cataract removed in 2023 (not by Mr Balaggan) with complications so I was concerned this might be the case for my other eye. I cannot thank Mr Balaggan enough for the time he took from my first consulation through to surgery and post surgery appoinments. Mr Balaggan is such a wonderful, kind patient man, he explained everything to me and made me feel calm and confident all would go well. I am now cataract free thanks to this amazing man, who I would highly rcommend.

I have just completed three surgeries with MR Balaggan one for floaters in Dec . Followed by two in April and July for cataract surgery and lenses insertion for vision correction. All Three operations went very smoothly and the results are amazing. Removal of all floaters back in December and full restoration of my sight after the cataracts had been removed. As a person who has been wearing glasses and contacts since the age of 11 this is life changing at the age of 61.
The idea of eye surgery was quiet frightening also and yet the whole team put me at complete ease and procedures were all performed with skill and haste to ensure my sight was fully restored.

I have had a very positive experience with Mr Kam Balaggan , I went to see him last October with a very large macular hole, which needed surgery straight away. He did the survey within a few days. He was very friendly and was at ease throughout a big operation. The aftercare is great too , lots of attention given to you. It is now fully clothed and can see several lines better down the chart. I have been a patient of Mr. Balaggan since 2019 for various eye conditions, including retinal issues, cataract surgery, and most recently, surgery for a detached retina and a macular hole. On every occasion, the treatment I have received has been exceptional. Mr. Balaggan consistently goes above and beyond to provide a truly first-class service and I have complete confidence in his outstanding surgical skills. Considering the significant challenges I have faced with both eyes, my vision now is remarkable, and I am deeply grateful for the results he has achieved.

After a very successful cataract operation six months ago I felt a slight deterioration in my vision. My excellent optician advised me that this occurred in up to 30% of cases and was easily corrected by a laser procedure. Mr Balaggan treated me there and then, explaining why it happens and what to expect. The procedure took minutes, very straightforward and results excellent. Having such a good optician - Dan Sanders at Perspectives in Solihull -and excellent surgeon in Kam Balaggan once again proved to be a winning combination.

Mr Balaggan and his support team are true professionals and lovely with it, and have produced excellent results in both my cataract surgeries (first eye two years ago, second eye mid July). I would happily recommend to anyone considering the operation to have a consultation with Mr Balaggan and have any necessary treatment with him.

I was fortunate to have been referred to Kam by my optician once they realised I had a retina tear. I was seen immediately and underwent a laser corrective procedure the same day.

I went to see Kam Balaggan when I was distressed about my poor vision.
He was calm, reassuring and able to explain clearly to me how he perceived the problem, and how he felt that he would be able to help me achieve the best vision possible. Mr Balaggan fully explained what would happen during the surgery and made me feel totally at ease,he gave me various options to consider, there was no pressure regarding any decisions i wanted to make.

I had cataracts removed from both eyes in January, 3 weeks apart.
Mr Balaggan informed me on the procedure, and the type of lens most suitable for me. I also felt supported by his secretary.
I did my own research, which helped me make an informed decision.
6 months post op, I am delighted with the outcome.

Had Macular Hole surgery with Mr Balaggan. Whilst the operation sounds awful, I found the whole process incredibly smooth with Mr Balaggan who was extremely professional, clear and concise and he was able to calm my nerves completely. Would recommend Mr Balaggan to anyone

Kam was really approachable and friendly every time we met. He explained all the procedures, answered all my questions and reassured me.
He repaired a macular hole in both my left and right eye followed by cataract surgery in the same. Prior to each of the operations, as well as during and after he put my mind at ease which was a massive help as I was very anxious. He was also available when I needed to contact him after one of the operations to discuss and advise on a query I had.
