Do not order from here

If I could give 0 stars I would. Do not order from this company. They are misleading with their return policy. I’m sure it’s in the fine print but you are unable to return items purchased with a discount however they still charge you a fee for free shipping and returns. I would never support this company

Be aware their return policy is not what they say it is, you have to read the fine print before you buy. They advertise really discounted clothes often but they do not allow returns on "discounted items". Almost all of their clothes are discounted all the time. They always have deals to lure buyers in. They overprice their clothes to make them look expensive and high quality, they are not. They are from china like everything else. They will not do exchanges even with sizing issues. So you're stuck with the clothes that don't fit. As others have said they regularly advertise that they offer returns but there is a lot of fine print behind that. Quality wise they're OK. They're clothes are thick and heavy in my opinion and not well made. Some of have fit me others have not. Sizing seems overall accurate.

No Returns and they don't follow their own policy

90% of my order was gorgeous and good quality. One item came damaged and one item was just ugly. As others mentioned, their returns are a joke. For the prices you pay, they should honor their customers with allowing returns. They don't even follow their own policies. I wanted to exchange my item and they refused because it was discontinued. I pointed them to their own policy that exchanges are allowed on discounted items and they closed and denied my case anyways.

This company is horrible to deal with

This company is horrible to deal with. I bought a dress and attempted to return it within a week of receiving the item. They initially said that they could not accept the return due to it not meeting their return policy. After I proved to them that the dress was not on sale and I did not use a discount code they sent me a way to return the dress. I of course was made to pay all return shipping. I received an email on March 25, 2025 saying they received my return and would review the item within 10days. On July 16th I received an email saying they could not accept the return due to a stain. I know there was no stain when I returned it and it has now been in their hands for nearly 4 months and they are attempting to deny the return.

STAY AWAY

I have purchased many dresses for myself and my daughter from Joyfolie. While their dresses are nice, their customer service is absolutely pitiful. I purchased 2 dresses in May for my daughter’s kindergarten graduation. One did not fit so I returned it in the EXACT condition I received it, tags still on. I got an email the return was received on June 3rd. I have yet to receive my refund! I emailed them 5 times over the last month and a half and each time received the same cookie cutter response saying “we have contacted our warehouse and have escalated your issue we will let you know when it’s resolved.” I finally got sick of their robot responses and reported them to the BBB (first time ever doing that). Well wouldn’t you know the day after I did that and they were notified I got an email saying they wouldn’t refund me because the belt is missing from the dress. It didn’t come with a belt on it and I thought to myself oh I guess they just had the model wearing a belt to accessorize it (as they often do). They are being petty and spiteful. There are much better companies out there with higher quality clothing like Nora Lee, Rylee and Cru, or Indie Blue. I highly recommend one of them over this shady company that won’t even treat their loyal customers with respect. And from the looks of these other reviews it seems like mine is not the first return they’ve misplaced or given an issue with. Hmmm. Sounds like a them problem. STAY AWAY!

Joyfolie is predatory

Joyfolie is predatory. They solicit a fee for returns, but have a separate return policy that does not allow returns on most of their items.

I followed up directly to confirm why I paid a fee for returns that are not allowed, and they indicated it was an optional fee. I’m not sure that this is even legal.

Do not buy from here.

If I could give zero stars I would

If I could give zero stars I would. Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever had. I purchased three items in late April 2025. Returned two of the items early May (within their return timeframe) and Joyfolie acknowledged they received the items on May 6, 2025. I have yet to receive my refund which is around $150.00 owed. Multiple emails - because that’s the only way to reach them- telling me they are behind in processing refunds. It’s been over 60 days. I have been purchasing from them for years for both of my daughters and this is the first time I have needed to return anything.

This place is expert at finding an excuse to not give you your money back!

Do not buy from this company unless you’d like to just throw your money to the wind. Like many others, I was told that 3 strands of hair on my return made the product unsellable. Now I’m out $300 even though the product was in perfect condition. Scary that they have done this over and over. The kicker…the told me this 4 months after I returned the dress.

I’d give them no stars at all if it was an option.
I received my dress and it was a dumpy fit.
I had purchased it in hopes to wear it to my Dad’s memorial service. I was so disappointed that it wasn’t what I expected.
I requested to return it and was told that it was a final sale item. I mentioned to the sales representative that nowhere did I see it stated that it was a final sale. It didn’t say that on my receipt nor was it typed anywhere on the dress description when I purchased it.
I asked if they had that info hidden somewhere on their website and if they did, I said that was extremely poor business etiquette. She finally agreed to take the dress back. At that point I had read reviews about how awful their return policy was, so I was nervous. Sure enough, I got an email today saying they would not accept my return because of two fuzzies/hairs on the dress. I have a white fuzzy blanket, folded at the end of my duvet. I unpacked the dress on my bed. Literally two fuzzies from the blanket were on the dress so they would not return it?! They sent me a picture with two arrows pouring at the two fuzzies. RIDICULOUS. What a joke. Absolutely ridiculous. The material is so cheap that any lint or anything floating in the air would stick to that dress.
Don’t fall for it. The dresses andclothing are far cuter in the pictures on their site than they are in person. You will not receive a refund if you need to return purchase. You’ve been warned.

Please stay away from this company…

Please stay away from this company unless you want to lose your money! I bought over $300 worth of clothing...returned two items the next day and received confirmation that they had received the items. Two months later Im still waiting for the credit to my account, not even a refund to my CC.

Essentially no return policy

I wish I had read these reviews before buying from here. I bought a dress (almost $200) for a wedding. But it was too small, so after trying it on, I put it back in the original packaging and returned it, promptly. They declined my return because somehow, 3 tiny stray hairs had attached to the dress and according to them, it was now only suitable to be sold as “gently used.” I wish I could post a picture of the hairs that caused this, because it’s laughable. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE UNLESS YOU'RE POSITIVE YOU WONT NEED TO RETURN.

Return Policy is Predatory

Ugh, just don’t buy from them if you think there is any chance you need to return something! Crazy return policies where if you get any discounts you can only get store credit and then ONLY if they RECEIVE your items within 14 days of ORDERING! Which is almost impossible. Customer service absolutely refused to even give me store credit when I was one day late and I’m livid. Dress was not the color shown, see through, and didn’t fit despite using their measurement chart. Just spare yourself the hassle and order elsewhere.

Arbitrary Return Policy for Sale items

Joyfolie has an arbitrary policy for returns that if you have a sale above 10% on your item you can only return it for store credit. So I happened to buy a $250 dress on a day they had a sale, today it is not on sale, and because of that I can only get store credit even though I haven't worn the dress, it is still in its original packaging. This is a terrible business model unless the whole purpose is to keep clients money because you have cash flow issues.

DO NOT buy from this company. They push a discount in your face as a new customer, but they have written it into their return policy that you are ineligible for a return if you've used a lousy discount code! I tried to get help but the AI generated 'consultant' did not understand my nuanced situation! I wish I could just get my money back.

One of the Worst Online Shopping Experiences – Avoid Joyfolie!

I had a terrible experience with this company. I ordered items for a wedding, and they did not arrive on time. When I realized the delay, I tried to cancel the order, but they refused. I had to wait until the items finally arrived—too late to use.

When I attempted to return them, their website was down for weeks, preventing me from processing the return. By the time I could finally get the return through, they refused to issue a refund and said I could only get store credit—which they still haven’t given me!

I’ve been going back and forth with customer service since early February, and all they say is that their site is down. It’s now May, and I have neither a refund nor store credit.

This company has been dishonest, unresponsive, and incredibly frustrating to deal with. Do not buy from Joyfolie. Save yourself the time, money, and headache.

Scam website DO NOT ORDER

JOYFOLIE—Scam website DO NOT ORDER. You will lose your money. If you use a discount code you won’t be eligible for a refund and they will not process your return towards a credit. It’s been a month of receiving their empty emails just apologizing for my frustrations but no actions. I lost $104.99 and reported them to the BBB and my bank.

"Backlog" on returns or scam??

I bought two dresses to try for my maternity photos. It was already a red flag that they run sales and promos but only let you return (or even size exchange!) something if you pay FULL price?? Why should it matter if you're returning a full priced item or an on-sale one? Unless they're somehow selling cheaper materials or damaged dresses for the ones people use promo codes on. I knew I could only use one dress so I had to bite the bullet and pay full price so that I could have the option to exchange or return.

Now to my current issue - I give them 2 stars instead of 1 because I do like the quality of the desses and I did manage to get a size exchange for one in time to use for my photos. My issue now lies in a return they've been hoarding now for TWO MONTHS. They say give "up to" 10 days for them to process a return... its been nearly 60 days. I got an email confirmation that they recieved by return on March 27th. I reached out to them and explained I have a baby on the way so I really do need the return money and they told me that they have a high volume of returns. I get that being extended for a month, but TWO? I'm starting to think I just got scammed because I'm out the money (and it wasn't cheap) and the dress I sent back. I really hope they genuinely do process the return soon, but if not I'll be telling everyone to stay awayyyy from this company. Which is unfortunate because I did professional photos and people have asked where I got my dress.

Buyer beware -- this company is a scam

Buyer beware -- this company is a scam. Any attempts to return merchandise will result in a laughable run around. Stay away!

I attempted to return pieces that did not work for us straight away and was told for a very long time after much emailing with them that their return portal was down. At least a month later I finally got information on how to submit my return. The items remained in the bag with the tags on and were returned as soon as I heard from them. Two months later I receive a response saying they couldn't be credited because they were damaged, accompanied with pictures with checkmarks but no damage visible. Through emailing they said they checked again and found animal hair on them. We have no animals in our house and have never had animals in our house. They also refuse to credit a duplicate dress that was accidentally purchased as part of the same order because I did not ship it back separately. They did accept one dress, apparently but have still not notified me of the credit for that one.

Buyer Beware….with Update

Like many of the reviews below, I have been trying to get a store credit from this company. I literally came searching in frustration only to realize that this is the normal mode of operations.
I have been emailing with Joyfolie since Feb 13 when I first realized their return portal was not working. At that time, in a response email, they had no idea when it would be up and working. I kept emailing every 2 weeks or so and checking their portal sometimes daily to see when it was up. Their return portal came up working about a month later.
Once the return is initiated, you have 10 DAYS to get the item to them. The item got there out of the window. Joyfolie closed the transaction. Currently, They are in possession of funds AND product.
13 weeks since Feb 13
6 weeks since April 02 it was received at their warehouse
3 weeks it was prioritized for inspection.

I have purchased from this company in the past.
It is all smooth IF you do not have a return or exchange. In addition, please note that many companies like these require you to pay for your return shipping. I have learned my lesson….Never do business with any company like this. This hassle is not Worth it.
Buyer you have been warned!!!

UPDATE: A credit was received today, May 20, 2025. Coincidentally, I just posted this review and 30-45 minutes later, the credit came in.
That said, while i do appreciate, it was made ok. (A refund would have been my preferred), I still do not want to ever do business with this company again. The hassle is not worth it.

They scam you when you need to exchange…

They scam you when you need to exchange or return an item. If you didn’t pay full price, you can’t return it. If you want to exchange, you need to do this within 14 days of the purchase date. It took 8 days for my item to arrive, so I had less than a week to decide, exchange the item. The items are expensive, which makes their return policy very unfair.
