still waiting

still waiting on my item almost a month after it was supposed to be delivered.
the customer service people didn't really care to even send me overnight, and they could have.
now it's been 2 more weeks and still nothing.
i can't take this anymore.
i was a returning customer and now i will let everyone know not to buy from them.

Returns made easy

This was my first time purchasing furniture online. My concern was if things did not work out then what. Well Joss and Main customer service made it easy. The process was handled via email and I received a full refund. I must say I was disappointed in the product.

Excellent price, Excellent experience.

Ordered an Isabell Kitchen Island. The price was so much less than the same Island on other sites that we thought there must be a mistake. The Island came exactly as we ordered at the advertised price, on time, and with no damage. Very happy with Joss and Main and very happy with the Island.

Prices are questionable

It's fun to see all the unique items they have but be careful and watch prices closely. I have an item in my home I bought from gordman's for $40 and they were charging $137 for the same piece. Also, just bought an item off zulily today for $12 and they were charging $97 for the same thing. So they are very clearly ripping people off with some of their prices! Disappointing...

Very Good Customer Care

I purchased several things on Joss & Main, they all arrived in time. The pillows I received were a bit defective, and I got a replacement and was told to donate the old ones. I am very happy so far with their service and support. Thank you!

Should have trusted the reviews

Well I can't give a review on the product, YET, but I can tell you that their shipping process leaves a lot to be desired. My nephew's wedding gift was suppose to be delivered on the 29th, and then on August 1st ( I was promised that this was going to happen), it's now August 3rd and he is still waiting for his LATE wedding gift. I don't believe I will order from them again.

Terrible experience

I received a couch with holes punctured down the left side from top to bottom. The puncture marks line up with the staples on the box from shipping. A cushion that you sit on appears defective because no matter what way you flip it the zipper is exposed in the front. I sent pictures and contacted them immed. - I was told they could send someone out to repair this although they had not looked at the pictures I sent. They also said there policy is 24 hrs turn around time to reply to customers. It's been 36hrs and still no word from them. This couch took 6 weeks to arrive. Incredible disappointment!!

COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME & MONEY!

UPDATE TO ORIGINAL POST: The latest in the disappointment from Joss & main/Wayfair started last Friday, 6/10/16, when I was supposed to finally get my couch. Again, I took a half day off work for delivery (which I wouldn't get PTO for). However at 7:00 in the morning THE DAY OF, I got a phone call from the warehouse saying they had lost my couch (Which they still can not find btw, I just got that call as I was writing this review), they would call me when they found it and deliver it either that day Friday or the following day, Saturday. Never heard from them so I called the warehouse back to check on the status and then called Joss & Main later that day. I was told someone would call me back which once again didn't happen. As of Saturday, I cancelled my order and was told I would hear back from someone about my refund within 1 business day. And you guessed it! That never happened either. I just called... again... 3 business days later to get someone to process my refund, which I need since I found a very similar couch at Value City Furniture for the same price and that will deliver on the weekends so I won't have to take any more time off work. DON't DO BUSINESS WITH JOSS & MAIN/WAYFAIR!

ORIGINAL POST: I'm very frustrated with Joss & Main/Wayfair!!! When all's said & done, I will be out an entire day's pay, out $100 for shipping fee, been ignored by Joss & Main/Wayfair, nothing to sit on in my living room for over a month & when I have a party on Memorial Day; my guest will have to sit on the floor. I ordered a couch in April, I ended up paying $664. The couch was delivered to my local warehouse pretty fast, but my "Account Manager" Brittany called to tell the dust cover on the bottom had a "small" tear. I asked that it be fixed before delivery to me & she said it would be, then someone would call to schedule delivery.
When I got that phone call I was told that they only deliver between 2-6pm Mon-Fri, so now I had to take a half day off work, loose half my income for that day in order to be home for this delivery.
The day came, I was home by 2pm, & I waited until 5:30pm when I got another phone call saying the truck was late but they would get to my home no later than 8:00pm. 9:00 is when the truck pulled up, the guys looked at me & said "You don't want this couch. They told us you would refuse it, but to bring it to you any way". Not only was the dust cover NOT fixed, but you could see a broken piece of wood with nails sticking out, and the packaging was torn to shreds!
A replacement has shipped but it won't reach my local warehouse for a couple more weeks. I asked for a rush order, have spoken with numerous people, told Brittany would call/email me, and asked for a price match since the same couch was listed for $200 less than what I paid when all this happened. Oh yeah, I have to take another half day for delivery. This is a complete waste of time & money. Whatever you do, buy your furniture somewhere else.

MOLDY furniture!

I purchased an ottoman through Joss & Main about 2 months ago. Last night, I had the pleasant surprise of finding that the ottoman had been harvesting and growing MOLD from the inside. The ottoman was in a well lit room with great circulation so the problem was clearly there when the ottoman was delivered. The moisture soaked through an area rug that the ottoman sat on. I promptly emailed customer service who refunded me for my purchase - however I inquired about some sort of reimbursement for the cost to get the mold stains out of my area rug by a professional cleaner. They would not assist since the rug wasn't purchased through them. I am EXTREMELY disappointed in the fact that they will not own up to their own hazardous error and definitely will not be purchasing from them in the future.

Cancelled my order

DO NOT BUY FROM Joss & Main!! They will make your furniture dreams come true, only to take it away the next day!!

I was browsing the sales on JOSS AND MAIN's website and couldn't believe my eyes when I saw a set of Linen upholstered chairs for $20!! I immediately bought them and cried tears of joy. I received the confirmation email saying they had received my order and were getting ready to ship it. My life was complete!! The world could end, because now I had the chairs I always wanted...Then this morning I got this email...What makes me angry is the fact that they said "As a result of OUR error, we are unable to fulfill YOUR order...!!! This is like saying: "Oh yeah, we screwed it up, so now we're screwing you"...Why should I have to pay for their own stupid mistake?! And a 15% discount really?? After giving me the best online deal?!

So, I called their customer service and after I was directed to a very nice girl who helped me find similar chairs for a similar price. She found a similar chair for $68, EACH CHAIR!! How is that a similar deal?! As I explained that I did nothing wrong and they sold me an item and now are cancelling the order, she kept saying she was very sorry, but they couldn't sell the chairs for the price...THEY ALREADY DID! I purchased them yesterday!!

I DON'T WANT THEIR STUPID 15% DISCOUNT OR THEIR SINCEREST APOLOGIES, I WANT MY DAMN CHAIRS!!

OWN YOUR MISTAKES AND BE BETTER!!

I am actually shocked at how good the customer service is

I ordered a leather ottoman "coffee table" that was heavily discounted yet still a sizeable purchase (~$900). A couple of days past the 30-day-return deadline passed, I put a hot mug of tea directly on the leather (as opposed to the tray I usually use) and when I tried to pick up the mug it had melded to the leather--obviously the leather was coated in something instead of properly dyed. Once I pried the mug away, there was a white ring on the leather where the coating had been pulled up. Thinking "of course they won't be moved by my plight," I nonetheless sent in a form requesting a return (which would cost me an arm and a leg, I'm sure). Within 5 hours I had a kind reply from customer service stating I could simply donate the item, and my purchase price would be refunded! Are you kidding me? That's incredible.

False advertising

J and M do have nice products, however, it's not the deal they make it out to be. I almost ordered a console because it was just what I wanted and they had it cyber Monday for 59% off. Just before the sale went through, I thought I'd google the product and found I could buy it for the same price at several websites, without tax and free shipping. Almost all websites had it on sale for around $100 off, which means the 59% off was purely bogus. Plus, there were no time requirements and if I need to return it, I can, whereas with J&M, I could have only received a store credit. By going to ebates first, I also saved about $25 on my order. Shop smart, I've unsubscribed to J&M.

Broken Sales Order Processes AND Delivery Processes - AVOID!

I ordered two king beds which were showing as in stock in August. I received an email stating the the beds were not in stock and would be delivered in October. I canceled the order and heard no more until late October when my card was charged £540. In the intervening time Joss & Main became Wayfair and my order details were not available on wayfair.co.uk and Joss&Main.co.uk has disappeared.That was frustrating. I emailed customer services via the online form and received an apologetic reply (which I found in the junk mail folder) stating that the order could not be canceled and that I should accept the delivery (which I have no where to store, it's 2 king size beds!) and then return the items at my cost!

The sales order process is broken as is the delivery processing, this is a fact. Until these processes are sorted AVOID.

I feel sorry for the people who work in customer service (Morgan Flaherty I'm thinking of you here and sorry for swearing at you in my email) who have to mediate between the broken internal systems and unhappy customers.

Terrible

I placed an order for a sideboard and painting. Two days later I received an email that my order had been cancelled. I called immediately to find out what had happened and was told that my order had been flagged as fraudulent because my shipping and billing addresses did not match. That is correct, they do not. I had entered the correct billing address to match my credit card and the correct shipping address for the items. Why have an option to enter a separate billing address on the site? Customer service informed me there was nothing that could be done unless I wanted to call my credit card company and change my billing address! Ridiculous. So even though all my information is accurate and I wanted to order these items, they won't allow me to. I regularly order off home shopping sites such as Horchow and One Kings Lane all the same information and no problem. Very disappointed.

Still haven't received my bed

I ordered a bed over a month ago; they said it would be received by Sept. 29th. I still don't have it; customer service said they would look into it for me, but I have not heard from them. Avoid this company at all costs - buy in store or somewhere else. I am really wishing I had paid a bit more and purchased my items at Star. What a mess!!!

waited months to get a refund for an item that apparently never existed

I purchased a lovely Chinese table. But what arrived was a storage box. After many hours and days waiting for The storage box to be returned I tried to cancel my order. Apparently they had sent my Chinese table only to be disappointed when the storage box returned again. Spent many hours on the phone returning a box to try and get a table. This company is incompitant beyond imagination. I have spent months trying to get my money back for apparently a product that never existed even though they kept sending me picture of my order that was a table but sent a box. If you buy from this company then expect the unexpected and make sure your blood pressure will survive the journey their incompetence will take you to. And don't expect your money back any time soon.

What are they thinking?

I purchased a Pembroke chest made by Crestview.
I am now on chest three. The first one was the incorrect color, the second was processed incorrectly, cancelled and then delivered anyway. The third came damaged. I don't even know if it is the correct chest or not. I can't get in my front door because it is filled with chests. I have spent entirely too much time on a mediocre chest. The first one they said to keep. Paperwork on the box has few details. The box has few details. No wonder they don't know what they are sending. Do not order furniture from this place. Customer Service is very nice, but unfortunatley not good enough to outweigh the incompetence in other parts of the business. They give you an extension and it does not work! Enough already.
