DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY

I am not giving a negative review of this sectional as I have yet to receive it. The sectional looks beautiful. I ordered my sectional on September 17th and have yet to receive it. My Anneliese has been lost in transit not once, but twice. I am currently scheduled to receive it Dec 20th. Or Jan 5th. I have received multiple emails. I spent approximately 3 hours of my life- not in one sitting of course- speaking to multiple Joss and Main/Wayfair customer care representatives. Four to be exact- all who told me there was nothing they could do to help expedite the shipment of my re-ordered sectional. It apparently ships freight only. I was soo disheartened as I was having family fly in for a Thanksgiving celebration and would not have adequate seating. We recently purchased a new home and had disposed of our old living room furniture in anticipation of the Anneliese sectional. I kept asking to speak to a manager and was finally connected to Linda Bean who thus far has been the only bright spot in this company. She was extremely professional and polite and sympathetic to our situation. She understood what a stressful development this had become for us and offered multiple ways to compensate us for our inconvenience. We had an outdoor seating arrangement shipped to us free of charge to accommodate our guests as it was able to ship UPS. We also received a percentage off the sectional. That was excellent customer service. My husband and I literally counted the days until the shipment was supposed to arrive and were soo disappointed when it was lost in transit. We are decorating our living room around this sectional- picking rug, coffee table, tv stand , etc. Linda compensated us for our inconvenience and frustration. I was expecting this sectional right after Thanksgiving and now have received multiple emails from Joss and Main with one shipment arriving Dec 20th and one Jan 5th. Apparently item was lost in transit a second time. I contacted Linda to express my justified dissatisfaction. I turn 40 December 15th and Christmas/New Years fast approaching. I explained I will once again be faced with guests at my home and no sectional. I have no formal living room to entertain. I asked for further compensation and was directed to Jackie Loveland - Customer Advocacy Specialist of the Executive Team. She was up to speed on my situation and felt no further compensation was deserved. That is soo disappointing coming from a billion dollar company. She will “push hard” to expedite shipping but can not guarantee us when the sectional will be delivered. I guess this is satisfactory customer care to Jackie Loveland and the Wayfair Executive Team. Do NOT order this sectional from Joss and Main/Wayfair. Do not order ANYTHING from this company that you want to get on time. I believe Overstock has the same sectional and as far as I know have no affiliation to Wayfair.

Ordered a sofa and after a year

Ordered a sofa and after a year, read online that you could wash the slipcover in cold water and low heat dry. But it shrank where I couldn't zip the back and the fabric was discolored. I Call Joss & Main and they said you are suppose to dry clean only and those instructions were wrong and they appologized and sent me a new slipcover and cushions at no charge. Great CS!!! Thank you Mr. Luce..

Returning items is impossible

I bought a coffee table that needed to be assembled. The screws for the table didn't hold the pieces together so it's defective and needs to be returned. I've tried 4 times to get the return going through the site (with photos) but it's not acknowledging a return. I've been trying for a few days to talk to somebody in customer service but am on unreasonably lengthy holds. This is a very big box sitting on my front porch that has to go back to their warehouse but I can't even get a return receipt or talk to anybody. I'll never purchase from this site again and will tell others to do the same.

Their item listings are inaccurate and they overcharge for shipping

UPDATE! JOSS AND MAIN refunded my shipping costs and I've updated my star review accordingly.

I ordered 4 chairs at $350 each for a conversation area. Chairs came ahead of schedule, in just under a week, so that was nice. So far so good. Chairs were supposed to be gray, but are dark brown. Manufacturer even has letters DBR (dark brown) in the item number. I initiate a return online, decide to go with a refund to my credit card instead of store credit, as my estimated refund is only $120 shy of the original cost. Not bad to ship back 4, albeit lightweight chairs, and easier to just pay $120 than to deal with getting shipping waived for their mistake. I receive confirmation email with return instructions and am told the return shipping is going to cost $413 total, over $100 per chair! The chairs are maybe 30 pounds max. I contact customer service and am told they might be able to do something about the shipping if the color is not what was advertised. They request pics. I send pics. Customer service no longer returning my emails. UPS picked up chairs today and I was refunded $1088 after spending over $1500 on the chairs. I decided to also return the rug I purchased to help recoup costs from the shipping fiasco. I decided to ship it myself so that I receive all of my refund. They list the rug as 25 pounds, but it is only 8 pounds. Is that a deception so that they can rake people on the shipping costs? Their entire site is full of misinformation so be careful buying anything of weight from here. After posting this review, I received an email apology and a credit back to my account for full shipping cost. Looks like I will be keeping the rug after all. Might even shop here again since they made it right. In the future I will use a credit card with buyer protection with this seller.

Worst company for customer service I …

Worst company for customer service I have ever dealt with. A console was supposed to be delivered and I am on my second day of waiting for it. The delivery company has been uncommunicative and has not arrived when they said they would. I have had to miss work and other engagements.
Joss and main has also been uncommunicative-no one to talk to, no person to get on the phone and help with the delivery. I will never order from this company again.

Follow-up: Out of desperation I called Wayfair which I thought was somehow connected to Joss and Main ( different phone number and website ), and finally got on the phone with a manager who gave me a 30% credit because of the awful service I was receiving at Joss and Main. Wayfair seems to be a better company despite their affiliation with Joss and Main.

Horrible predatory site

Horrible predatory site. Can only look at products if you give email address(just like Wayfair), then you get continuous spam from them after you hit unsubscribe. STAY AWAY!!!!

Received wrong item and it's been more than 24 -48 hrs that customer service was suppose to respond after I contacted them about receiving wrong item
If I can ever get someone to answer me , I will never order from them again.

Update on this review>>>> After 6 days Joss & Main has contacted me and are currently working to make my purchase correct.

Back In stock! Wait,no it's not! Stock update issues

Shopping for outdoor chair, J&M had one I wanted but wasn't due back in stock for a few months per their website, so I signed up for their email alerts to get notified when back in stock, just for heck of it because I really liked the item. Meanwhile, I purchased similar chair from another site. TWO DAYS later, get notified from J&M that "It's back in stock, yay!". Annoyed that it was available as I'd just purchased elsewhere, I went ahead and placed my order for the chair, because it really was the one I was after. Order processed, paid, then TWO DAYS LATER get a "your item is not available, we're cancelling your order" email. Really? Annoying and almost fraudulent web/business practice, in my opinion. Fix your stock/website issues. Will not shop here again.

Difficult returns: obsolete digital practices, non-working website

I bought some cushions from these guys that I'm trying to return (are they Wayfair or Joss&Main btw?- not clear), but when I went to my account I got greeted by an "There are no orders associated with your account." Funny thing is that I've got the Order number and of course I got the cushions. I also got to the mystifying message from a link in the same email they sent me to review the product... So, what's up with their record keeping? Why isn't my recent purchase showing on my web account?
Now I've had to communicate the old-fashion way, by email, wasting my time giving all the order details instead of it all being automatic and easy for returns, like in up-to-date, modern websites. And they took a whole week to reply to my email, btw. Come on people, this is 2017!

I am trying to return an item that …

I am trying to return an item that didn't suit my decor and went online to initiate the return. I received an email saying a label would arrive within 1 business day. Three days later it still did not arrive so I had to go through their maze and call. The customer service rep said the warehouse has to approve the return and my return label was somehow deleted. So now he requested another one, and said it should arrive in "a while." So now I have to wait another who-knows-how-many days to get a label? But I guess it's OK as the guy said he was "really sorry." Whatever! Last time i buy anything from Joss & Main!!!

Photos on web site bear no resemblance …

Photos on web site bear no resemblance to low quality and faded colour of actual goods. Poor, cheap Chinese junk.
Then to have to pay - deduction from refund of cost - is an insult. Had we known we were going to be conned we would not have wasted our time and money.
WE WILL NEVER BUY FROM JOSH AND MAIN AGAIN AND CANNOT RECOMMEND THEM.

Joss & Main is owned by Wayfair, and prices for the same item can be vastly different on each site. Delivery is almost always a nightmare. On top of that, they will edit or delete my reviews if I call them out on prices or delivery issues. Also, prices can change drastically from day to day. I put an item in my shopping cart at 10pm one night. I wanted to get my spouses opinion on it in the morning. In the morning I went to my shopping cart and the price was the same as when I added it. However, when I clicked "order" the pice jumped up over $180! I emailed the company and they said that was h it was and they couldn't help me. Horrible company with terrible customer service with very questionable ethics.

I ordered a bed in jan it said it would arrive in about 30 days. Ok now I get a call from the delivery service that says 2 more weeks. Really 6 weeks. I tried to cancel my order 2 days after ordering they said I could not do that because it has already shipped then 2 weeks later they said they shipped my item. Umm what? After tons of emails which has gotten me no where, I'm sending the item back in sure I will be getting screwed over this too. By at this point I will not keep the item because the service is so bad. If the item ever gets to me. Don't waste your time or money with this company

Over 2 months, still no bed!!

I purchased my bed on 2/2 and today is now 4/4 and still no bed. I had to follow up with their customer care after 3 weeks of not hearing anything. I was then told that they cannot find the bed and will investigate. There has been A LOT of back and forth with emails and trying to figure this out. They finally located the bed and I was told another 7-10 days. 12 days later, I received an email saying that it is a two part order and going to take longer. The associate in customer service has been great and has issued me a refund for their mistake, but it still seems like the bed is missing and I keep getting canned responses. I work in customer care and this is the WORST experience I have ever had with a company.

You will regret buying anything from this company!!!

I bought a living room chair from them, it was the worst buying decision I ever made! They delivered it on a day I was working despited being in communication with John in customer service who promised to call Fed Ex to assure that it would be delivered on a day I was there. They stated my upholstered large chair was a "Small parcel" and just left it at the back door in the rain. The box was larger than my door and had HEAVY stamped on it. There was no way I could lift it much less get it in door. I would have gladly paid to have it delivered into my home but that was never offered as an option, silly me, I ASSUMED they would not just dump it outside and leave! To add insult to injury, the legs require a drill to attach them AND two of the legs had no drill holes, just blocks of wood. I could have screamed. I wrote multiple emails to John, the MANAGER of customer service and he has not responded. So, I am left with writing to the upper management. DO NOT ORDER FROM JOSS&MAIN or WAYFAIR if you want your sanity!

Never do business with this company. I promise the worst company ever

I ordered a Bed in October - the website said it would take 2 weeks. I heard nothing from the company - I called in December as I wanted the bed for guests at Christmas - They told me the bed was on back order ( Keep in mind - they did not contact me - I had to contact them.) Horrible customer service - they laughed that it was taking so long. I get ONE email from them telling me my cc has expired they need another form of payment - which I called and gave them - This was January and they told me the bed was in route. I just called joss AND main today ( still no communication ) and the girls LAughs telling me it won't arrive until MID FEBRuarY .... SHE says " do you want to cancel the order" ... absolutely horrible customer service - horrible communication - Do NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS COMANY -- I've been online reading reviews and this is TypicAL FOR THEM ....

Nothing but great experiences so far

I'm kind of stunned at all the negative reviews here. I guess it only takes one bad experience to turn away a customer, so maybe some of them had bad luck right off the bat. I've furnished my entire house with Joss and Main. Most things have been great, and some have been less than perfect, however they have an outstanding return policy. The problems I've had have been mostly with delivery. I'd say they don't have a great track record for things arriving perfectly in tact, perhaps a little poorer than average. However, when things have arrived damaged, they have let me keep or donate the item rather than putting me through the hassle of shipping it back. Since it's damaged, they don't want it, and they don't want to pay for shipping. Makes perfect sense. For the first time recently, I had to return something because of my error, not theirs. I ordered some lanterns that were the wrong size. Their policy is that if you opt for store credit, they pay return shipping. That's really generous. Since I was planning on replacing the lanterns with ones more suitable, I decided to go this route. They've always been incredibley polite and helpful as well, and I've recommended this company to several friends.

I can only say the very best of things for this company! I ordered a bed for my parents but accidentally ordered the wrong color. They went above and beyond to make sure they got the right bed shopped in time for Christmas and without charging me for MY mistake! What company does that? None! I ordered another bed from Restoration Hardware last year and that is where i received both a poor quality bed and the worst customer service on the planet. That is one company that I wish would go out of business. Joss and Main, I want to personally thank you for everything you did to ensure my parents had one of the happiest Christmases because of what you did to help me. This wasn't my first order and it definitely won't be the last. Let's be honest, there are so many furniture companies that charge RIDICULOUS prices for their furniture and it's not worth it. They've been around for a very long time and have nice and reasonably priced items.

Some great finds, but be prepared to fork out huge shipping costs for returns

I have ordered several things from Joss and Main. Several are not as described and some I even received the wrong item. No matter the case whether I just didn't like the item or it was their fault, expect to pay $8+ for returns. Also returns are through fed-ex ground. Closest fed-ex to me is a 45 minute drive. Makes it near impossible to return an item with my working hours and the drive to fed-ex. Will not be shopping there again. Sticking to amazon who has great prices, free shipping, and free returns!
