SCAM SCAM SCAM. I rented a powerbank at the weekend for 45 minutes and returned it, costing £3.96
It subsequently charged me an additional £30 two days later. Customer service on the app first said I did return it, then changed their story and said I didn't return it, or didn't return it properly and someone must have stolen it. Then decided I actually rented two. Refused to refund and just told lie after lie. Worst part is this isn't the first time it happened. The first time I thought it was because i had somehow returned it wrong, buy 2 times?! All the other reviews agreed this service is a scam, and customer services refuse to do anything about it.

Avoid at all costs, once you return the power bank they don’t register it and charge you an additional £30.
When you contact live support they make unreasonable requests to “prove” you returned the bank.

Very quick to respond via the chat with us feature on their website, Friendly polite and very helpful non judgemental also informative , Was worried when on my part made an error in returning the charger , However was given full instructions on how to return in future and feel comfortable now with the company.

They will block your money for week amd on top of it they will charge another money for using. I really dont understand why it is neccessary to block 30 euros for week ?

1st time using the power bank, thank you worked out great . I did worry a bit when I first checked the bank as they had charged me £30 on top off my £4.92 fee . After they explained it was a holding deposit to make sure I returned the power bank.annd the money was released. Everything worked out okay. Great service

Useful service, I used a charger from London Bridge when I had got to London from Kent as the train plugs weren’t working and my phone ran out of battery.
Managed to follow the instructions (very clear and straight forward) on the screen of the big vending machine.
Then I used my card to pay and had the charger for 24 hours before I returned it to a pub in SW.
Great service, useful and helpful information on initial purchase - couldn’t recommend more.

Don’t use this service. I had to take my daughter to A&E and left without a charger. My wife and I used Joos for the evening - 4 hours and returned when we left the hospital. Her pack registered as returned properly and she was charged accordingly. Mine wasn’t and I was charged £30. Customer service really poor, basically said I didn’t return it in the necessary steps and there is nothing they can do.

While in hospital waiting for 10 hrs I had to top my phone battery up, this was the first time I had seen Joos so I used it, due to a misunderstanding on my behalf I paid over the odds, I contacted Joos and with very little effort they sorted me out and arranged for my refund over the tariff to be reimbursed with no trouble at all, very good

I was in A&E at Queens Med Nottm. when I realised how low my battery was, turned out I'd broken my finger. I spotted the power bank machine and clocked the £3 charge for utilising it, which seemed fair. My first issue was that the cable adaptor kept slipping out of my phone. I had no idea that there was any kind of time limit and as I was waiting in a treatment area for around 3 hrs for a orthopaedic surgeon to tend my finger, I wasn't able to return the charger in case I was absent when it finally came to my turn. So I was surprised and disappointed to find out later that I was being charged £5.88, guess I should have read the small print and not the large £3 advertisement.
BUYER BEWARE!
Costly experience, typical of a company that's profits at the expense of others.

Realised after leaving the cinema that my phone was on 5% battery and I still needed to check bus times and travel home. Easy to rent and charged my phone quick enough while I grabbed something to eat so it had enough power to get me home, if using again hopefully my phone's not so low that I can use the app as it was a little stressful not seeing the rental charge after returning it on my bank yet and just the £30 pending approval charge. Customer services were very helpful though. They found the rental, confirmed the cost for the time used and that they could see the return went through successfully. It just can take up to 5 days depending on your bank for the pending charge to clear and the correct one to show. Have now downloaded the app incase I need it in future.

Unfortunately I had no other option as I was in A&E at UCL waiting to be seen by a doctor. Used power bank for 45 min returned and today find out got charged £26.04. What an absolute extortion. Avoid using them if you can.
