Unlike most shop bought the quality does not start to go rapidly downhill. However i do miss the small sized potatoes which seem to have been conspicuous in their absence this season.

Richardson’s Jersey Royals are proudly grown on the island of Jersey by one of the island’s oldest farming families, with a heritage dating back to the early 1500s. Our potatoes are carefully hand picked and gently handled to protect their delicate skins, before being washed and packed using a unique system designed to preserve freshness and taste. We grow all of our crops to LEAF Marque standards, with a strong emphasis on sustainability and soil health. Our use of liquid seaweed as part of our growing process supports both the land and the flavour and texture of our potatoes. Nothing has changed in that regard from last year - unfortunately on rare occasions delivery issues can occur, as happened from time to time last year as well. However, this year we have looked at ways to better deal with these instances to better respond.
We now automatically flag any such issues and send replacement orders where needed. We can also reassure you that if an order cannot be fulfilled, a refund would of course be issued.
We completely understand your frustration and can only apologise for the inconvenience caused. Thank you for your patience in the meantime.

At last I've had Jersey Royals more like I remember them after a few years of potatoes under the JR name but didn't quite make it. However,delicious as your spuds are ,had for dinner today,I still have a more distinctive flavour somewhere in my mind, perhaps age( mine!)makes a difference, lots of things don't seem the same.
The potatoes were delivered soon after ordering,neatly and safely packed and similar size, supermarket ones are nothing like uniform, some being quite large which may affect the flavour (?) Our Everi deliverers are reliable so package delivered safely. Thanks

They are the best tasting potatoes
The fact i can get jersey royals that arrive fresh, is fantastic i am 73 and these take me back because they taste the same as ones my mum used to buy and the taste is so beautiful and fresh i know they a little bit more expensive the horrible washed ones is worth it for because they taste fresh and well worth the money

I have been ordering these potatoes from Richardsons for the past few years .They are always fresh and blemish free.
The ones you get from even the top supermarkets are washed and completely tasteless .I believe it is the soil that keeps the taste in,
Delivery has improved dramatically this year .

Had to give one ⭐ to comment. Never again will l waste my money on these once beautiful pots. My childhood is filled with the smell, easy scrub and the unforgettable aroma of the real jersey royals. I have tried for years in the hope that it was just a bad year. Well after at least eight years of trying l give up. So tough to scrub very bad sign, rotten, green and totally tasteless.
What's wrong with the farmers stand up and produce the good stuff or go bust. Sad and disappointed.
