Richardson’s Jersey Royals are proudly grown on the island of Jersey by one of the island’s oldest farming families, with a heritage dating back to the early 1500s. Built on generations of knowledge and care for the land, our approach combines traditional farming values with modern techniques to produce Jersey Royals of exceptional quality and flavour. Our potatoes are carefully hand picked and gently handled to protect their delicate skins, before being washed and packed using a unique system designed to preserve freshness and taste. From field to fork, every step is focused on delivering the authentic Jersey Royal experience that has made them so highly regarded. We grow all of our crops to LEAF Marque standards, with a strong emphasis on sustainability and soil health. Our use of liquid seaweed as part of our growing process supports both the land and the flavour and texture of our potatoes. Somewhat disappointed
Somewhat disappointed with my last delivery as we have always enjoyed your potatoes but this time when cooked they'd turned black and not looking too appetising , so sadly had to throw them out as could not serve them up looking like that.

The potatoes have lacked the special Jersey earthy seaweedy taste over the last couple of years, but better than you can buy in uk shops.
Think it is a change in farming to maximise yield without realising what that does to the unique quality and taste.

We take the flavour and freshness of our Royals very seriously - going to to great lengths to maintain their distinctive taste. That does indeed include the use of local seaweed (vraic), as well as specially developed liquid seaweed products that enrich the soil.

I have already left a comment, this is defo my number one company for Jersey potatoes, they are so tasty and delicious boiled then loads of butter 🧈 😋 I did make one complaint as I had only one bad potato in the bag, I messaged them and 2 days later had a new bag free of charge delivered one amazing company 😋 😀
