I went to Jax tyres Hoppers crossing to replace 4 tyres. One of the tyres to be replaced was flat and in the boot. I mentioned this to them and told them that the spare which was a virtually new pirelli was on the drivers side rear and was to go back in the boot as spare.

When I got my car back the spare in the boot was a crappy old low tread bridgestone. I went back to get my pirelli spare back and they insisted that I was wrong and refused to give me my pirelli back.

Tread with caution as they are a bunch of thieving liars.

If I could rate 0 stars I would. Go somewhere else and save yourself! I have had to complain to Fair Trading because of their poor behaviour.

They told us our rear brake pads were metal-on-metal and needs replacing. After checking, these pads have plenty of life left with 4mm of pad material.

They prey on female and uninformed customers telling them they need services that aren't required (ime. Fraud!)
Called to complain and request a refund and have been told they will call me back, but after several days they haven't called.

After their wheel misalignment ,the car now has diagnostic trouble codes for steering angle offset and the wheel is 20deg off centre to drive in a straight line. This was corrected by another shop.

They also refuse to comply with consumer law, and attempt to bully consumers to prevent them getting their legally justified refund.

I had Tyres and a wheel alignment done in Sydney and was advised that if there were any problem, I could take it to any Jax Tyres. The wheel alignment was not correct and when I called a Jax Tyres place in Melbourne they advised they would be charging for another wheel alignment due to being a franchise. They advised all Jax Tyre stores are independent owned. Be aware that you are not getting Australia wide Warranty!

Tyre rotation and fitment of one tyre. Chipped our 22 inch RIM by mistake but repaired next day. Excellent service

Fantastic Customer Service and quick turnaround.

I had an emergency punctured Tyre on my new car, and they were honest and speedy, fixing my car within under 30min for a reasonable price. I would highly recommend this Tyre business to friends and family.

Took car to JAX in Warnambool for set of Mud n Snows.
They showed me feathering on old tyres and even though it was Sat morning they slotted me in for full electronic wheel alignment as well as fitting the new tyres.

Took my Hyundai for 4 new tyres to Ajax tyres Albury. Young man who originally served me was helpful and polite. When it came to paying, the boss served me.
The tyres cost me 2 weeks wages and I had to save up. The boss snatched my Visa card from my hand and swiped it. I saw I had been charged a small amount for using a card. I commented that the store should be able to absorb the extra charge. He spoke so rudely and said the bank makes the charge.
He then got change out of the cash register and slammed it on the counter and said take it.
I asked him to stop being so aggressive. He said I was to apologise to him. He grabbed my car keys and held them against his chest , insisting I apologise. I asked for my keys, he said I needed to apologise first. I tried to reach for my keys and said I wasn’t apologising. He finally gave me the keys and I left, telling him I wouldn’t shop there again….He yelled ‘good! you people think you can get everything for nothing.’

Brad from Jax at Phillip was absolutely amazing yesterday assisting me with a wheel key that another Jax store had neglected to provide when I had new wheels and tyres fitted. He was professional and kind and you can guarantee myself and my family will be going to Jax Phillip from this point onwards. Thank you Brad!!

I recently had a deeply unsatisfying experience with this JAX outlet, and I feel compelled to share my ordeal to caution others seeking reliable and honest services. Sadly, it is disheartening to witness a mechanic like Graham, who not only failed to uphold the integrity of his profession but also tarnished the reputation of other honest mechanics. The series of events that unfolded during my visit left me feeling frustrated and taken advantage of, with additional charges added without prior consent or justification.

My partner drove our car to the shop for a simple wheel alignment, a service for which we had received a quote of $89 over the phone. Unfortunately, it quickly became evident that the attendant saw an opportunity to exploit my partner's lack of familiarity with cars. Without providing any upfront disclosure of the additional cost, the attendant insisted that a wheel rotation was necessary. This was perplexing since we had just had the same service performed a month earlier during a routine maintenance check.

Naturally, I questioned the sudden $60 charge for the wheel rotation. Instead of addressing my concerns professionally, Graham, the mechanic in charge, responded with disbelief and launched into an aggressive and defensive tirade. It was disheartening to experience such an unprofessional reaction when all I sought was clarity and fairness.

In an attempt to rectify the situation, I spoke with another colleague at the shop, Leo. This individual appeared to be more reasonable and offered a refund for the unjustified charge. Regrettably, this promise was never fulfilled, leaving me further disappointed and questioning the shop's commitment to customer satisfaction.

My intention in sharing this review is not to discourage people from seeking the services of a competent mechanic but rather to caution against entrusting your vehicle to someone like Graham and this particular shop. I have contacted the bank to reverse the charge.

Don’t take car to these guys for Pink Slip as they will find anything they can to get further work. I have a very good mechanic that I have been using for years and this year he was too busy to book me in for pink slip before rego due. As a result I took it to Jax to find I needed a huge amount of work done on my car. The car had only done 3,000 kms since last rego so all things pinged were unrealistic. This is the second time I have gone to these guys and found they seem to try to generate work for themselves.
My regular mechanic told me that between Jax and Kmart, these guys are known for it.
My advice, if you need a pink slip, use literally anyone else if you don’t want a huge bill

Terrible tyres, with a terrible tyre fitter who couldn't balance my tyres properly. When I brought it back to be balanced correctly he loosened my sump plug and then let all the air out of my spare.

Zero stars actually...tweed heads team are a joke...tried to pull the wheel aligners trick on us for more money...the team argued like old fools behind the counter .definitelya power trip going on there! .was told an hour n half. But waited 3+ hrs instead!....couldnt actually speak to the mechanic who worked on the car...many unhappy customers in the waiting room as well and their stories were doozies!..one young kid had been their all day even after returning his car that morning for a wobbly wheel! ..3rd time unlucky and absolute disappointment..never again..liars and thieves..not professional at all..woman behind the counter is rude and seems too tired to pull it together with a smile and got snappy with an unhappy phone customer who also wanted to bring their car back in the same day because they failed to give them a wheel alignment as asked! .went to our mechanic immediately after taking our car into Jax and he confirmed the swindlers giving shonky advice on an otherwise smooth running car.. don't waste your time or money guys..it's definitely not worth it and really frustrating.

Jax Ashmore we’re great until I questioned why I had to return to the store the following week to fix the exact same slow leak on same tyre with the same “low tyre pressure” alarming in my car …. Told they didn’t fix a puncture last week rotated the wheels and alignment and it’s not the same problem? It’s a work car not the money the issue more the inconvenience I had to rebook drive there wait for poor workmanship and poor customer service! will not go back and make sure no other of my colleagues take their company cars to this shop plenty of other businesses with good people good tradesmen who are happy to assist - disappointing

Firstly the customer staff in office are EXCELLENT. The guys are very Professional and are a Asset to jax.
However, I have just spent $1829.00 with jax. Steel Clamps that were removed for matainece have been Replaced with Cheap Plastic Zip ties. To all who read this, there's a very Important Reason why Steel clamps are used Which All Mechanics know. Heat, Greece,Oil and even contaminants from the road will cause a cheap Plastic Zip tie to Break. Like the old saying go's if You want the job done right do it Yourself . I will replace these unacceptable plastic Zip ties myself with the Correct Steel Clamps. I urge You all make Sure You look under Your car after they have done work. I have been a loyal Customer for years,Not anymore. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU CHECK YOUR VEHICLE AFTER THE WORK IS DONE. After Spending $1829.00 they replaced Steel Clamps which only cost 80 cents each with the cheapest inferior plastic Zip ties.
REMEMBER CHECK UNDER YOUR VEHICLE.
This was done by the Maroochydore store. I have been under and around cars all my life. When I Removed the Bash plate to Service my 4x4 (The Next Day) is when I discovered the Person Who Worked on my 4x4 Was a COMPLETE, IDIOT. The guys in the office Assured myself he is Very Experienced, IF that is True then that's even Worse. I have never seen Stupidity under a vehicle like this before. Furthermore I took Photos to Prove it, Unfortunately the office guys were (Who Are Good Guys) unaware that this is a UNACCEPTABLE PRACTICE. FURTHERMORE They explained that this is very Normal and that's what we ALWAYS DO. Are YOU Kidding me, How many CUSTOMERS VEHICLES HAVE THE DONE THIS TO.
As I have already said, I have always been a loyal Customer Not anymore. Let me just explain it to You Again. I just Spent $1829.00 with Jax, and 3 Steel Clamps which were removed at only 80 cents each, was replaced with 3 Cheap Plastic Zip ties. And those Cheap Plastic Zip ties Will Fail, they Are Not Designed to Last Around Heat,Greece, Oil ,and Contaminates of the Road. I Do Not Believe this,,And I am Not going to Call Them a Mechanic CAUSE they aren't too Tightly Wrapped. Customers who do Not Check Your Work, Who are Unfamiliar with the Do s ,and Don'ts of the Basic s,,,,, They are Trusting YOU. I did say to the Office Guys if I didn't know any better, I would see this Inexperienced Work Done By a first Year Apprentice. If that's True, then it's Not his or hers Fault .It's The Bloody Formans FAULT. You Already have My Details email and so forth. Before I Serviced My Vehicle I Took Photos to Show the office Guys whom appeared Unaware of the Fault. Happy to Send You the Photos

Worst service ever. Told a price then they uped it by 600 dollars. Was told veh was ready to go so took a taxi to the shop ... then i was told it wasnt ready... someone should have called they said.

They ruined my car,did work without my consent. They deceived me with their lies. They added an xtra $600 to the bill. My car wouldn't start so I had no choice but to leave it at the shop and caught a uber home. I also took them to Fair Trade but they refuse to pay or compensate me. I have evidences and photos proving that their mechanics had no idea what they were doing. Just reach out if you want to know more details. BEWARE!!
