I have had an extremely frustrating and…
I have had an extremely frustrating and disappointing experience with mycar Tyre & Auto over the past year.
What started as a simple concern, a clicking noise during acceleration, has turned into a long series of costly repairs, repeated visits, and unresolved issues. Despite spending thousands of dollars based on their advice, my vehicle is now in worse condition than before.
In May 2025, I was advised to carry out multiple repairs including a transmission service, thermostat replacement, and related work, costing $1,683.70. I was assured everything was fine, yet the original clicking issue was ignored and blamed on the “age of the vehicle” without proper diagnostics.
I raised the same issue again during a logbook service in September 2025 ($500), after which the engine light came back on immediately. When I returned, I was again told there were no issues. Instead, I was advised to replace tyres, brake pads, and rotors to fix vibration problems.
Following their advice, I spent:
$1,052 on tyres, balancing, and alignment
$724 on brake pads and rotors
Despite this, the car remained wobbly and the clicking noise continued. Once again, my concerns were dismissed.
In April 2026, I returned yet again. Shockingly, the mechanics claimed they could not hear the clearly audible clicking sound, something any reasonable person could notice. Only after insisting was I told to replace link pins ($577.08), which also did not fix the issue.
Since then, the situation has worsened:
Clicking and suspension noises are still present (and louder)
Engine warning light has returned
Gear shifting issues have developed
Service indicator was not even reset properly
On top of that, I later discovered that the “new” tyres installed were not all from the same year — rear tyres were manufactured in 2024 while the front ones were from 2025.
This raises serious concerns about transparency and value for money. The rear tyres are already wearing faster, despite all four being replaced at the same time.
Overall, I feel that:
Proper diagnostics were never carried out
My concerns were repeatedly dismissed
I was advised to spend money on repairs that did not fix the problem
The service quality has been negligent at best
After spending well over $4,500, my car still has the same unresolved issues and more.
I cannot recommend this service centre. Their mechanic Gagan is unperturbed and I am not sure what sort of vetting was done when he was hired for he cannot diagnose anything on the vehicle despite of being told what is wrong.
Proceed with caution.

My car was booked to have a wheel…
My car was booked to have a wheel rotation & alignment. First date booked was cancelled by Mycar due to an electrical issue in the workshop. Work was re-booked for 5/5/26. I was asked to prepay for the rotation & alignment. When the car was apparently finished I was made aware there was some additional work recommended & to call back if I wanted it completed. After getting home I read the technician comments that they couldn’t do the wheel alignment due to excessive wear to the bushings to the control arms. I went back to the store to clarify with the Manager whereby he offered a refund for the alignment that he didn’t know wasn’t done. The problem I have with this is the cost to replace the control arms & the other recommended items came to $3750.00. Another example of older Australians being taken advantage of. I definitely won’t be back there
