As executor of my late mother's property I needed to take out insurance for her house while it stood empty prior to being sold under probate. Insuristic made the whole process very quick and easy, including preparing a renewal quote/policy when it was needed.
They were also helpful and proactive in reminding me to prepare the house for the winter months. The cost of the policy was very reasonable, and the fact that there was a pro-rata refund when the house sold prior to the end of the insurance term was an additional bonus. Very easy to obtain a quote and then set up cover. When I needed to cancel the policy due to the house being sold it was very easy to contact Rob, who dealt with my query in a quick, efficient and friendly manner. There are no cancellation fees and a full pro-rata refund was issued. I would recommend using Insuristic.

Very simple process to obtain quotation and to incept cover. Full refund when cover is no longer needed and 30 day inspection requirement also make life easier.

We were in the process of selling our house, which became vacant for a period. Our home insurance company cancelled our policy because we could not guarantee the house would be empty for no more than 30 days.
We insured our building via Insuristic. The process was online and very quick and easy.
A short while later we exchanged and completed on our sale.
I emailed Insuristic and received a response that day, with a refund of the balance, cancelling our policy.
It was probably the least stressful part of selling our house.

Sadly, I became executor for the estate of my much-loved uncle late last year. He initially went into care but died after a short while, leaving a valuable home to be taken care of.

I stumbled upon this company whilst looking for probate insurance. They were really helpful and not looking to make a swift profit.

Their conditions were very reasonable, requiring me to either turn off the water supply or keep the property heated to a reasonable level.
I had to keep the mailbox empty and visit once every 30 days to take 2 photographs.

The cost was very reasonable and only a little less than my 4 bed, 3 storey house that is lived in.
The current cover expires this months but, happily, the property has sold.

I cancelled cover as of the completion date and did not expect any refund. Refund there came, for the unexpired days.

I have had contact with Rob, both online and by telephone and found him to be decent and helpful.

I have had no cause to claim on this policy and so can't comment on that aspect. I strongly suspect that, had I needed to do so, my claim would have been handled well.

I recommend without hesitation.

This company provides and excellent service for executors and beneficiaries who have followed intestacy ruled and probate guidelines but want that added assurance after distribution of inheritance. Communication was excellent and the policies exactly meeting the needs of this small market of people. They were sympathetic to issues and understood the complexities and dealt with them effectively.

Was very easy to set up and use. Rob is a genuinely nice guy and very genuine.

We were passed Rob's contact details by our solicitors and I am so glad we made contact with Rob and Insuristic.

We spoke with Rob on the phone and he instantly understood our situation, the process of applying for deputyship and all the difficulties deputies/attorneys face. We used the online quote tool first to get a rough idea of the cost and then Rob made some changes to the quote for the contents cover whilst we were on the phone and a revised quote was instantly issued.

It was really refreshing to speak with somebody that made the process of getting appropriate cover as simple as possible.

Helpful service and good product offering

Like other reviewers here, I had difficulty finding insurance to cover a newly purchased property being left unfurnished and unoccupied while some minor works were done and while existing property was for sale. Only found Insuristic after much searching and after disappointing responses from other companies who clearly didn't really want the business, so dealing with Rob was a breath of fresh air after them. Had some problems with the website initially, which Rob bent over backwards to help resolve and which we eventually pinned down to obscure technical issues. Cover (Gold level) provided was exactly what we wanted, and premium was pretty reasonable in the context of essentially zero comparable competition.
Having now sold existing property and aiming to move to new place soon, I've just requested cancellation from impending date of move, and Rob has responded within minutes to confirm request and inform me pro-rata refund has been issued with zero cancellation fees as promised. Seriously couldn't expect better service, so highly recommend Insuristic and Rob particularly.
