I have dealt with Huggle Pets on eBay many, many times - as a repeat customer, and consider them really fantastic in every respect. I can recommend Huggle Pets handsdown, one of, if not the best.

Disgraceful company

Was sent the wrong size pet toy online through Debenhams. HugglePets have been disgraceful, no apology, no return label even though they have said there was one with the order. Also told in email, if not returned in a good condition I won't get my refund. So they can send an old item in a ripped inner bag to you in error, and then make out it's the customers fault. Awful company, order elsewhere.

Wow, after reading the reply below from HugglePets, I will say, definitely DO NOT order from this company.
I did receive an email with a prepaid label to print off, but as mentioned numerous times, I don't have a printer. I have requested a label to be printed off in store, I have requested this by email and also by phoning, got nowhere with both.
The ball I ordered wasn't for a puppy yet I received one.
Even on Trustpilot, this company lie.

The barcode shown on the item you received matches the item on your order, albeit the packaging has been changed slightly by our supplier, we can confirm the correct item has been received. I can also confirm a pre-paid label was sent on 31/07/2024 at 12:26 pm. Regarding being sent a ripped bag in error, we have not been informed of this, I have checked the photograph obtained from delivery which shows no signs of ripping, or damage. Poor customer service

Ordered an Evolution Aqua external UV light for my pond through Debenhams website but from Huggle Pets. This was the cheapest price for this item I had seen online. However, there were two O rings missing, which prevent water leaking from the unit. I asked that these be sent out as soon as possible but after a couple of emails through Debenhams to Huggle Pets I got the patronising reply, 'please open the packet for the O Rings. There should be two inside one packet. ' I mean come on. Why would I not examine the box and contents as soon as it arrived. As these have still not been sent out at time of writing (15/07/2024) I have had to buy these from another source as Huggle Pets would prefer to quibble over 2 O rings.
Really poor service and I would not recommend them.

I'm sorry to say terrible experience....

Ordered budgie cage for our new budgie and so annoyed. The ordering and delivery process was fine, hence the 2 stars. However the box was damaged with holes in it and frankly a child could have done a better job taping the box closed. It was open on one side with the cage sticking out. There was no
packaging in the box at all, looked like cage was simply thrown in and an attempt at taping it shut was done. Not much of a surprise to find the cage was buckled in several places and the main door, despite several attempts at
straightening remains too out of shape to be safely used. Risk of budgie getting out or even getting stuck in the gap and causing serious injury. For £60 I can't face the hassle of trying to return or get a refund. Seriously though if you are dispatching online orders you really need to sort out some protective packaging and boxes to safely and professionally dispatch goods. No matter how careful the delivery company was, the cage didn't stand a chance of getting here without damage. Shocking experience, and one that I'm sorry to say will prevent me from making any further orders.

Where is my order?

Ordered a soft crate that was required urgently on 16/6/24 via your Amazon website. Tried to contact this company via Amazon - get unhelpful auto respond message saying they are busy…
Yodel claim to have ‘tried to deliver’ for 3 days - we have been here, waiting, all that time. No physical evidence (such as a card) that they were ever here.
Really poor service.

Never arrived. Don't trust authenticity

Ordered an item via Ebay that should have only taken a couple of days to arrive. Waited 2 weeks for delivery. Hugglepets stated they would investigate through Yodel where my parcel was as they had dispatched my item to them for delivery. Ebay then stated Hugglepets could not produce any paperwork confirming dispatch to Yodel. Hugglepets then asked me to close my 'case' with Ebay and they would then refund me. No way. I requested a full refund via Ebay and got it. I also discovered the item I wanted had been taken off Ebay listings due a policy violation.

All items are dispatched to Yodel's depot daily, once a tracking number is provided, it means that the item has been dispatched and is on its way to you. As you can imagine, due to the volume of parcels sent to Yodel from us alone, many parcels can get lost in the network, which seems to be what has happened here with your parcel. However, once I receive more information I will be able to look into this further for you.

Excellent customer service

I ordered 2 items via EBay. 1 arrived in excellent condition and the other broken in the other box. I raised a complaint via EBay but very frustrating getting a response.
I decided to ring their head office and spoke to what I can only say a very professional person - Holly you are a fantastic ambassador for this company. Holly went above and beyond to help and gave me a great sense that people still take their job roles seriously. Holly the quality of service you showed was above and beyond. Thank You!!

Given 3 stars as I liked the store and all the aquarium fish looked healthy and the tanks were nice and clean. However my daughter fell in love with a red claw crab and I was advised they are fully aquatic and needed no specialist requirements. However they are only semi aquatic and require brackish water so a 4.99 crab has now cost nearly 70 pounds to give it the habitat and life it needs

PLEASE READ BEFORE PURCHASING

Purchased a Fluval FX2 aquarium filter. After setting up there was a noise which was audible throughout my house. Contacting Fluval directly they advised to go back to the retailer (Huggle Pets) who said to return it for testing. I supplied pictures, videos and sound clips answering all questions promptly.
For a pet supplies retailer, I was surprised they considered disconnecting an aquarium filter, sending away for testing while leaving my 55 gallon aquarium unfiltered for days/ weeks an acceptable ‘solution’. This would clearly see my fish all die and mean I would have to recycle essentially starting from scratch whilst also having to purchase new fish while killing the existing ones.
I then tried to reject the goods as within 30 days and uk consumer right only to be told they would only do this if the filter was boxed, unused and as new, an almost flippant response considering my ongoing issue with the running of the filter.
I am now seeking legal advice as the only options I see are to
1. Purchase a second filter to use while the £220 FX2 is tested, when returned leaving it as a costly ‘spare’.
2. Put up with the unbearable noise.
3. Return it and wait to remove dead fish (not an option!)
I have already sound deadened the enclosure at cost with little improvement.
To sum up, please consider carefully products with fantastic long warranties as when needed, this particular manufacturer, FLUVAL will pass back to the retailer and the retailer, Huggle Pets, will only offer an unattainable ‘solution’ and reject any claim under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 essentially leaving an expensive product, not fit for purpose and a very bitter taste.

Update: no replacement parts were sent or offered, this may have been a better solution. I did however buy an alternative filter (completely silent) and returned the FX which was promptly tested and as stated in the reply, refunded.

Delivery not on time, poor customer care service

We placed order on B&Q and the item show shipped by Hugglepets. Tracking: JD0002230984119370, We placed the order on 09/04/2024 and today is 18/04/2024 still we are waiting for delivery i have sent email many times and called customer care but no one help quickly at last today i have cancelled this order. but we are not happy with hugglepets and B&Q.

As per our pre-recorded message, our main office customer service team are only able to access orders placed directly through www.hugglepets.co.uk, as your order was placed through B&Q, we were able to help track your delivery and raise an internal investigation with Yodel to try and locate your parcel and push for the delivery to be made, however, we were not able to access your order.

During the investigation raised with Yodel, we were advised that they were experiencing delays and to extend our apologies and requested that we provide them with the contents of the parcel in order for them to do an internal search.

After providing this, and receiving confirmation from Yodel that the parcel was lost, due to you advising that you wished to cancel your order, this was refunded for you.

I sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused here.

Delivery Issue Resolved

Purchased ceramic dog bowls online. Unfortunately when arrived one bowl was broken. Emailed and received a prompt reply offering a replacement which I accepted. Unfortunately this also came broken! Again a very quick response upon requesting a refund, agreeing to action it.

Certainly an issue with their courier of choice (Yodel) so only 4 stars, but can't fault Huggles response to the issue.

appalling service, do not buy online

Purchased an item that had a problem, was not easy finding the returns procedure, so sent the item back with an explanation email. Spoke with someone very unhelpful on the phone as there was also a problem with their website, got a snarky reply and the woman on the phone was treating me with contempt. Eventually resolved after 4 weeks, how this company will survive against Amazon and the like with service this bad I will never know

Our returns procedure can be found in our terms and conditions.

After checking all correspondence, I can see that we were not able to test the item received due to not all of the parts being returned together. We informed you of this (23rd Jan) and had to wait for these items to be returned to us to test the item. Once all parts of the items were received (19th February) we could confirm the item was faulty, therefore a replacement or refund was offered. As you opted for a refund this was processed for you.

Excellent support and customer care
