I’m extremely disappointed with my experience with HPL and would strongly advise others to think twice before purchasing from them.

I bought a CUPRA Formentor, and within just a month of ownership, the car developed a fault. What followed was a long and frustrating process - they attempted to fix the issue four separate times, but none of those attempts were successful. This left me without a properly functioning vehicle and with very little confidence in their service.

Eventually, they agreed to accept my rejection of the car. However, they then charged me 45p per mile for the usage during the time I owned it. I tried to discuss this with them, as I felt it was unfair given the ongoing issues and failed repair attempts, but they were completely unwilling to engage in any meaningful conversation.

Since then, communication has been extremely poor. Emails are being ignored, and phone calls are not being returned. I’ve now had to escalate the matter into a legal case, and even in this process, they have been uncooperative.

Overall, the experience has been stressful and disappointing from start to finish. I would strongly recommend avoiding HPL and choosing a more reputable and customer-focused dealer.

Very poor experience with HPL motors. Girlfriend Bought a Cupra Formentor last year, it was failing with safety warnings and despite 4 attempts to repair the vehicle, it was ultimately rejected. Managers unresponsive to issues and then trying to charge 45p per mile for the rejection (their fault) which is completely unreasonable. Have an ongoing legal case with them which they are barely responding to. Managers appear to come and go whether it’s Mr Crank or his predecessor, none of them take any accountability and are purposefully obstructive (with a smile on their face of course).. Stay clear and look elsewhere as if you have a problem you’re on your own!

Jason at the Atherton branch was absolutely amazing!! With having a terrible experience with another dealership (which shall stay nameless) when my car broken down, Jason and the team made us feel very welcome, gave us time to think, and most importantly let us leave with out pushing the sale. This, along with his great personality, made the decision very easy to buy my car from them.

Our 19 year old Daughter has just bought a new car from Jason at HPL Motors, Atherton. The whole process has been outstanding from start to finish. Despite her only being 19, Jason never dismissed our Daughter & went out of his way to make sure she was happy with her new car. His customer care was phenomenal (even offering us umbrellas when we decided to look for a new car in torrential rain) & the whole process was seamless. We would not hesitate to recommend the company & especially Jason. HPL were recommended to us by a friend & we have definitely not been disappointed. Thanks for everything Jason 😊

I met with Jason at HPL in atherton he took me through each stage made everything very clear and really pulled out all the stops to get me in my dream car within 24 hours can’t recommend him or HPL any higher it was a great service all round.

Not the same at Atherton l since Martyn left ,it's car from this company 2 and a half years ago paid £22000 went in ast Thursday for a valuation they offered me £8000 I only did 18000 miles (gutted)

Popped in to HPL Motors in Atherton to take a look at their cars in particular the Nissan Qashqai 1.5 e-power one in blue. The agent who came to check on us advised it was his current Company Car and he would grab us coffee then show us around it. Test drive went well and within 30 minutes or so we had bought the car and was driving away. Sean was amazing took us through all the details, helped transfer the car to my name and tax it. He was lovely to talk to/ deal with and would be happy to buy a car from him again.

Jason was incredibly helpful and made the process of buying the car really easy and stress free. He explained anything and told me the pros and cons of everything. Was direct and really friendly. He really eased my mind and made buying the car an exciting stress free experience.

I walked in this shop angry, stressed and done with everything including my dinted car not knowing what would come of this conversation, I met with Sean who was calm, collected and listened to my plea, I didnt have no expectations, but as I have used them over many previous years of HP's I knew they must be able to help in some way, I got more than I was expecting for my dinted car that was the start, I was in that shop all day, I walked around the car showroom looking at different cars and to be honest all the cars were good just me was not what I wanted due to me being so stressed. I sat in cars and came back to Sean, and stated I dont like them, he said dont worry, let restock and have a think of what you would like. I stated I would like a ford puma, red, but I guess you wouldnt be able to help with what I wanted. He said ok let's see what we can find leave it with me. Yes he found the car I wanted for the right price, i explained my cost and budget he was able to adhere would i could pay cheaper infact, when I have said in previous years to others about coming here that they will help you, i meant every word, I would never go anywhere else if I needed a car, or support from them about my car, they know what they are doing. Over the years this is the 4th car weve had on hp through Hpl motors and would never go anywhere else. Well done Sean, I love my car. THANK YOU!
