HP LaserJet M110w is an absolute rubbish, as it is the overall support you get with it. Don't buy HP unless you want to waste time and money. I would never recommend it to anyone.

HP Smart Tank 7005 All-in-One Printer – Disappointing Experience
I was excited to get the HP Smart Tank 7005 for my new company after managing with an old printer. Setup was easy, and the initial print quality was excellent. However, after about six months, I began encountering printer head errors and connection issues with my laptop. HP customer service replaced the printer heads under warranty, which initially resolved the issue.
Unfortunately, the same problems recurred six months later. After spending hours on chat and phone support, I was told the printer was out of warranty by a few weeks, despite purchasing it on 29/08/2025 and expecting a one-year warranty. The only options offered were to pay £240 for replacement printer heads or buy a new printer neither feasible for a small business.
I’ve since purchased a printer from a different company and will not be using HP moving forward. It’s frustrating as the machine is just over a year old, and HP’s suggestion to take it to a recycling centre feels like a waste. Very disappointing, especially as I’ve relied on HP printers in the past.
Beware of HP laptops
Beware of HP laptops, I’ve had mine 5 years and it suddenly blew up last night leaving my whole house exposed to lithium fumes. This is highly toxic and dangerous and this shouldn’t happen to “high quality” laptops. You should be ashamed HP, if I hadn’t been present, my house would’ve set alight. Do NOT purchase, go for Acer or Lenovo if you’re looking for a budget option!
Warranty of Brand New printer shows as expired
I ordered a brand new printer from Amazon, but when I went to register it the warranty was showing as expired. I raised a ticket 3 weeks ago for this to be rectified but have received no response whatsoever, this will be the last item I ever purchase from HP
Lack of customer support
I bought a new HP printer from a secondary supplier. I tried to get it registered with HP for warranty. The registration site has been "temporarily unavailable" since 26 July and the chat line is also unavailable. So, I rang the support line on 0844 369 0369 - only to be told that it is an unrecognised number!
What shockingly poor customer service! If the printer requires attention within my first year of ownership, HP can expect me to escalate the issue.
Non-existent customer support
I contacted HP support via their call back option which promises a call back in 10 mins. I have been waiting over 3 hours and there has been no call and no update to the case in my HP dashboard. I don't have Whatsapp so cannot use that contact option and I don't have a mobile phone so I have had to rely on my sister using her phone number to contact HP for that call back. I now have to leave her house and go home, so I have not been able to get my issues resolved. I will never buy HP again because without customer support, when things go wrong, the only option is to ditch it and replace it with something from a more reputable company.
Non existent Customer Service
The Customer Service is more than totally woeful - it is not existent. The website puts you through to some robot in India (seemingly) who after 24 hours of constant back and forth on WhatsApp resolves nothing at all. I ask for a phone number to speak to someone in person and get given two numbers which both revert to robotic irrelevance. The main website likes wise defaults to more of the same.
An email arrives with a Case Number - but you cant reply to that either.
Talk about how to frustrate your customers and waste their time, and so create more new problems for HP - a TOTAL DISGRACE
My Customer Journey has been Horrendous
Ive had 2 superb HP laptops over 10 years approx. Im very sad to write this, and am shocked to see here, HP generally, 1.6 out of 5.
After I changed from an initial laptop model to an Omnibook 7, the agent in Tunis tried to sell me a different one. He also didnt tell me that I could pay for next day delivery. I REQUESTED with 2 agents to send me a proper receipt saying PAID. I request this now. Theres 2 order no's, one with a Q in for quote, and I was told that it would take 3 to 4 weeks to deliver, then 4 to 5 weeks. The emails had an HO or a HU in coloured circles, and when I researched I found that my payment was to Hungary. Is this a scam I thought. Then today, 90 minutes trying to ring HP on 4 different numbers. Payment went to HP.inc or similar. Online search required serial no, but I havent got the product yet. Questions about the order only have 2 options, no space for my comment. I will never forget these interactions. Told that I had to have laptop delivered to my shipping address, no option to change it. Finally HP doesnt give any contact details for customers re possible scams. Does HP care about that? My complaint is in. Does HP train staff properly. Laurence Mendes
It's unbelievably actually TRUE
It's unbelievably actually TRUE ! - H.P. won't allow me to use anybody else's ink / powder in my printer - I bought some replacement cartridges from Ink jungle ( a HP partner) they say who guarantee compatibility with my printer - but they have been locked out from functioning by H.P. they confirmed it on a recorded transcript - is this a monopoly - Who owns my printer Me ? - can you imagine if you had to buy one companies fuel if you bought a certain type of car ? !!!!!!!!!!! Come on H.p. what are you doing
Unfair practices and monopoly
HP continually update my information making sure I cannot use the printer unless I pay for HP products. I want to be able to choose my printer ink and do not wish to be dictated to by HP. Moving to a different provider
EXTENDED WARRNATY CONTRACT A NIGHTMARE
I purchased an HP Envy in October 2022 and obtained extended warranty in October 2024. Two incidences:
1. Nov 2024: The one key came off the key board. Took a month for approval of repairs after contacting HP numerous times. HP kept asking for the original purchase receipt from John Lewis and a photo of the serial number from the back cover of the lap top which was promptly provided.
2. May 2025: The mouse pad stopped working. After several phone calls and providing all evidence requested, all they can tell me is that they are awaiting approval as there the system does not allow authorisation. I have tried to file a formal complaint and was told they are not allowed take a complaint or pass me on to a manager. I suspect I have to wait for another month.
Worst possible service although the staff are polite
What has happened to HP ??
I have purchased HP products for 15 years. Not anymore. Delivered to wrong address. Failed to honour cash back. Post sales say they are too busy as staff have been moved to sales. Of review sites they say people just like to complain. When they failed to honour cash back on items over £3000 they suggested order was cancelled - for them to collect - so that I could reorder get a redelivery and get cash back. Post sales saying you have to do this via sales as they are different departments. So many 1 star reviews on here can't be a coincidence. Beware.
Recieved a faulty laptop
Recieved a faulty laptop, and I've had an absolute nightmare trying to return it, and get some help. The parcel was picked up for return, but I then recieve an email 4 days later telling me that the pick-up was unsuccessful. I can't get through to anyone on the number that's supposed to be for post-sales support, and all other avenues just tell me to call that number. I will never buy another HP product again after this experience, because non-existent support is a major issue for me. Particulalry when they're such a large expense. Terrible company, terrible service!
Absolutely ZERO Customer Service
Deserves ZERO Stars ! I have wasted nearly 4 working days (no exaggeration) trying to resolve an issue with a laptop which arrived not working. I have been explicitly told (in emails) by BOTH Order Support and Technical Support that it is the others problem and that I need to contact them again (after after having done so numerous time) to resolve what is an internal management issue within HP UK. I would strongly advise against buying from HP until they have a Customer Services department, who can be contacted and who actually care about customers.
HP deserves zero stars for the…
HP deserves zero stars for the absolutely terrible experience I’ve had with them and their products. My encounter with their service has been nothing but a nightmare from start to finish, and I feel compelled to share just how awful it’s been. Here’s why:
RIDICULOUSLY OVERPRICED REPAIRS
They quoted me £400 to fix a laptop that costs £178 brand new! Let that sink in. When I asked why on earth they thought this was acceptable, their response was rude and completely unprofessional. It’s like they don’t care about their customers at all.
EXTENDED COVER THAT MEANS NOTHING
I paid for three extra years of extended cover—what a joke. Now, when the laptop needs repairs, they’re still demanding I pay. What’s the point of selling extended cover if it doesn’t actually cover anything?
A LAPTOP THAT BREAKS CONSTANTLY
This is the THIRD time this laptop has broken down. And now, after all this hassle, HP sent it back to me without even bothering to fix it. It’s completely unusable, but they don’t seem to care.
RUDE AND INCOMPETENT CUSTOMER SERVICE
Let’s not even get started on their phone staff. Rude, unhelpful, and clearly couldn’t care less about resolving the issue.
This whole ordeal has left me with some serious questions:
Why does HP even sell extended cover if it doesn’t actually do anything? Where’s my refund for that useless purchase?
Why hasn’t HP replaced this defective laptop after its repeated failures? It’s clearly not fit for purpose.
Why is their staff so disrespectful and dismissive when customers reach out for help?
A reputable company would stand behind its products and take care of its customers, but HP has failed miserably. They’ve wasted my time, my money, and my patience. If you’re thinking about buying an HP product—DON’T. Save yourself the frustration.
HP, you need to step up and either replace this broken laptop or give me a full refund. Until then, I’ll be making sure everyone knows just how terrible your products and service are. Avoid at all costs!
Goodbye £645
I ordered a computer on 14th November and the money left my account instantly. I was told it was next day delivery but absolutely nothing has arrived and I've had no communication for nearly three weeks. When I've tried to ring HP there's been no apology and they've insisted it's been lost by Parcel Force and a new computer is on its way. But no emails to confirm this and no sign of the computer. Absolutely shocking.
Such a pity
Such a pity, HP support used to be excellent, now it is less than useless. They simply don't respond, when they do, they say they will put you through to a more appropriate person. They don't, you are put on hold again. There on line support is hopeless, nothing useful.
I am shocked by how bad they are now. It has put me off ever buying any HP product again.
good Laptops VERY POOR REPAIR SERVICE
# We have a number of HP notebooks. They range from a touch pen Envy, to a Pavillion i7's.
They are great machines, but the Customer Service for the repair service you get from HP in the UK is sxxx/ not good.
# First they direct you to a WhatApp Link. Then they use a voice agent which is also sxxx!/ not good. Keeps getting it wrong.
# Eventually, The call is then directed to India where the telephine line & understanding is not good and the call disconnected twice. Eventually an agent called Radika took some details, using a video link to take a picture of the damage, great OK.
I asked for a case number 13118 - xxxx
# They then transfered me to Sales had to wait on the line for another 15 minutes for another agent (sales).
" please hold while we connect you"
# I was evetually conected to a chap in Tunisia, whom went through the standard terms & conditions and provided a quote for the repair (R&R).
I asked for the quote number: 1548XXX
By this time, I still did not have confirming email from HP with the case number or the quote number.
The chap in Tunisia said I will get a quote within 24 hours.
( He kindly provided me with an email address should I not get the quote, which was outside the SOPs.)
# I am still waiting for the quote. This call took 52 minutes of contact time let alone the wait time.
# By the way most of the information they asked for is on an HP account (global US) with all the pc details at:
support.hp.com..gb-en..dashboard..device
# The next day, I got the quote for pick up, repair & return for 415 gbp. Which I though was a bit steep to repair a cracked working screen (with a new screen).
# I declined the quote and got a local reparier to repair for 115 gbp.

Purchased HP Envy Move AIO for my disabled daughter. Unlike single review I found on HP UK website I can only say my experience has been excellent. HP envy move beautifully built and designed computer. My disabled daughter uses with great ease. Touch screen brilliant. Battery life very good at 3-4 hours. A fast capable 5i 16gb ram machine. Highly recommended.
Poor quality HP laptop, HP Printer and customer support
Purchased an HP laptop, it was the worst piece of equipment I have ever used. Also purchased an HP printer, poor quality, first cartridge change and a piece of plastic on the refill broke. Tried to get technical support to see if they would replace it and cannot find a telephone number. The chat function on their website also isn't working when I try to connect to it.
HP Instant Ink service
HP Instant Ink service -
Since subscribing to the service, it's cheaper for us, as heavy user, as buying individual ink cartriges is expensive! Also, it's free delivery and best part is I don't need to keep an eye on ink levels as HP is very prompt in sending them.
Yes, the price has gone up for the service however it's the convenience that matters when you are a heavy user.
