Never seen this bad experience with customer support. I cancelled a flight and expected a refund, I asked for a id and status but none, I am stuck between BudegetAIir and this insurance company. No tracking, and else.

Ha sido la peor experiencia en la compra de un vuelo que he tenido tengo una gran frustración al tener que reclamar yo compré el vuelo en la plataforma de hooper pero al reclamar el día que no permitió latam abordar por qué dijo que habia error en el nombre con mi pasaporte perdí el vuelo hooper nunca contestó el día del vuelo nunca me arregló nada.. tuve que pagar otro vuelo que emergente costoso y al querer reclamar al reembolso hooper me enviaba de un lugar a a otro de un mensaje a otro, evade responsabilidad pese a yo haber comprado con mi tarjeta en esta plataforma, al reclamar mensaje envían me e a la empresa delta, la empresa delta a latam, latam y delta dice que debe responder hooper que es donde compré y así nadie me soluciona nada, que frustración como me arrepiento el haber utilizado esta plataforma para la compra del vuelo!! Son irresponsables, negligentes, perjudican al cliente que confía y no los conoce, sigo reclamando el perjuicio que me hicieron y aún no tengo respuesta, de todos los viajes realizados la primera vez que utilizo esta plataforma y tuve un caos en el vuelo, y lo peor nadie me responde hasta ahora nada, tengan cuidado si yo hubiera leído estos comentarios antes de las personas perjudicadas no hubiera utilizado nunca para comprar mi vuelo!!! Que frustración
Me responden y aún así no me dan solución siguen lavándose las manos es una empresa irresponsable y perjudicial para los compradores ….cuando yo compré a la plataforma de hooper el vuelo me enviaron la confirmación con código JVPTND y con mis nombres bien escritos tal como compré está la foto de la reserva no puedo enviar x aquí la captura pero yo la tengo deme un medio para enviarle ahí constan correctos los nombres tanto como los compré … consta todo bien, y cuando aparece en el boleto de latam están todos los nombres y apellidos pegados y sin espacio ese fue el motivo por el que no me permitió viajar el joven y después se hizo el loco el que se iba que llamaba y al final no me arregló Nunca nada y cerró el vuelo y me dijo que simplemente no puedo volar y ya, los nombres e mi mamá también estaban sin espacio y los de muchos pasajeros conocidos que viajaban conmigo sin embrago a nadie le hicieron problema solo a mi.. fui la única que se quedó del vuelo… y cuando pasaron a sala d embarque una persona dijo que a ella le han ayudado que era familiar o algo del piloto de latam y que ella no tenía boleto ya hora le han ayudado a viajar entonces que puede ser que sobre vendieron el vuelo y luego no me dejaban viajar por lo que vendieron ese momento ya mi cupo a otra persona y por esa razón no me permitían viajar y aquí en se reclama ??? Si yo compré a su plataforma pagué con mi tarjeta directo a Uds, ida deben solucionarme yo soy el pasajero perjudicado de la compara directa a Uds. o compre ándele más y pague directo a Uds .. deben solucionarme haber responsables del perjuicio. !!???

My Avianca flight was cancelled. At first, Hopper did not want to honor the Premium Disruption Assistance that I paid for. But after leaving a bad review here, they changed their tune and gave me a full refund. So I am keeping my word and changing my rating to five stars. Although I will admit, I did not love how much effort it took to get them to do the honorable thing.

The app made a mistake with our luggage and we were charged on the return flight an additional £116. The Hopper advisor agreed to refund the £116 when we spoke on the telephone and on an email. 6 months later still no refund. I have emailed again and again. Today I have spoken to another advisor requesting my refund.
They have my details on the account. The advisor could see the complaint and the amount in GBP. Nothing has been done!
Then I was cut off mid sentence!

I would definitely use another service. Recently I reserved a car rental through Hopper for a family vacation in Hawaii. When we picked up the car the price was 20% more than what Hopper had quoted. Being 5000 miles from home we had no choice but to pay the additional cost or cancel and look elsewhere. When we contacted Hopper customer service we were told they had contacted the car rental company (Dollar) and we were to reconnect with Hopper after our rental was returned. We did so and were told that nothing could be done. As mentioned before, Hopper’s customer service is inadequate while following a company policy that is not interested in customer satisfaction.

If I could give this service a zero, I would. I paid extra for cancellation insurance. Here I am a week in advance (which means they could certainly sell the seat, and I an not allowed to cancel?! This is ridiculous. I will not use Hopper again.

I reserved a hotel in New York the Hudson Yards Hotel through them for 3 nights which at first I was thinking I Had a good deal through Hopper. Long story short the hotel phones never worked and so did their ac. They checked us in and after we found out ac was not working on the room went down stairs to find out they had their ac turned off for the entire place and ended up having to reserve a room last minute through another hotel. Hopper in no way helped get this resolved. I placed around 10 calls to hopper explaining what had happened and that the manager of the hotel was saying they had to email them to get refunded. In the end and 5 days out I am speaking to hopper once again trying to get someone from the hotel to get me a refund and keep asking for 24 more hours of wait. Horrible experience, stay away from reserving using this site as they don’t stand by their clients
Update: Hoppers partner who is not the hotel but an intermediary is requesting that I send picture to prove that the air conditioning did not work (can anyone enlighten me with some sort of form to have a picture of an ac not blowing air cold?) they make no sense just like the property, I already started legal actions against the property with the state of New York and could as well go further with hopper. Should not be operating this way that is for sure.

I’m homeless and trying to survive day by day in the Georgia heat. I booked a room at La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham through the Hopper app using the little I had, just hoping for a place to cool off and take a real shower. Nowhere on Hopper or the hotel’s listing did it mention a $150 deposit—something I couldn’t afford.
When I got there, I was turned away. What made it unbearable was the woman at the front desk—she laughed at me like I was the problem. That moment shattered me. I called the Georgia crisis line for suicidal ideation right after I walked out. That’s how deeply this experience affected me.
XCover, the insurance I paid for through Hopper, refused to help. It felt like a trap—these platforms prey on people who are already struggling.
No, they didn’t cause my situation—but this exact moment was what pushed me to call for help. Be careful how you treat people in crisis. Your lack of care could be their final breaking point.

I spent a week of non-stop back and forth between various people and on their end getting non-stop excuses of why they could not get my refund to work. They tried to make me jump through so many hoops, tried to say it was on PayPals end, once said it would be done in a few hours then said there was a different glitch or issue…it is honestly too much to detail. I suggest they try to get people to give up on their refund or delay past their policy time out. Definitely not reputable and IMO their business practices are subject, at best.

Never get their disruption insurance. It only works for changes made 24hours before the flight which I was aware of... but if the airline has to modify the flight before the 24hour period because of a flight schedule (in my case over a month before my trip) then you loose the disruption insurance because it only applies to the original flight at time of reservation, not to any modified flight. So now I was told by their customer service that I won't be covered for my return flight because it's not the original one I booked.

I accidentally reserved two flight bookings, both international. I attempted to cancel on the website and it continued to route me to the virtual assistance chat line. The virtual assistance chat continued to route me to contact phone support. Phone support agent was not well educated on how to assist me. She continued to tell me I would have to wait 24-48hrs for the airlines to accept my booking an generate tickets in order to see "IF" a cancellation would be possible. I explained we purchased main cabin and it specifically said non-refundable therefore I would hate to wait 24-48 hours and at that point an accommodation could not be made for something that was clearly a double booking and a mistake. I asked to speak to a supervisor if possible and she was adamant this was not possible. I proceeded to go on the mobile app instead and was able to cancel the booking on there. I told her the information she was giving me was incorrect and I was able to cancel it on my end after going through it with her over the phone. She confirmed it showed cancelled on her end. I hope the agent was able to learn something from our interaction before sending someone into panic mode next time for something that was able to be done on the mobile app and for preventing something to go into a further problem for the customer in the future.

We booked a flight through Hopper on April 11 for a June 4 flight. We wanted to cancel the flight and called on April 21. They said we couldn’t get a refund or credit. We will never use Hopper again! Their customer service was awful.

I have used Hopper for rental cars, hotels and flights for years. However, I flew American and my flight home to literally visit my dying grandmother was delayed due to mechanical issues, causing me to miss my connecting flight and arrive at my destination 12 hours after I should have. Meeting Americans refund policy, I put in a request. They denied nearly two weeks later because I booked through Hopper and said Hopper can issue my refund. Hopper said because I got on my flights and the airline changed them, there is nothing they can do and American has to refund me. They couldn’t even provide documentation of this statement for me to bring back to American to try again.
Will never book flights through them again as there’s no savings and you get the run around for customer service.
