Was easily able to book and collect car. Very clean exterior and interior. A smart car to drive.
Brilliant service will definitely use them again
As a hirer, all good. Never had an issue with Hiyacar customer support - they are attentive, well meaning and professional. I'm a great believer in Hiyacar as a company that actually cares about both sets of drivers.
A great and super easy experience with a car we pucked up in east London for the day.
Cheaper than other options we looked at for a whole day.
Costumer support is fantastic! I was having troubles in unlocking the car on my phone but they answered me in less than minute! 10/10
Of all the ones I've used so far, this is the best, especially the customer service which is an almost instant chat service.

Recently moved from zip car so using this as an alternative... So far I can't complain ( apart from the fact that it's a bit more expensive) and that I can only rent for 24hrs at a time
We hired a car for a job.
The first one didn't work, the second one broke down.
We had to refund the job and it has cost us many days work to get things back on track.
Despite their advertised 'promise', they are refusing to refund or recognise the damage done.
I will be opening a small claim.

This made a very stressful holiday planning situation a lot easier! Had 6 family members, only 1 driver but originally had 7 with 2 so last minute chaos meant I found Hiyacar and was able to get and pick up a 7 seater very easily and leave my own car there for free. The owner was available on call straight away to help and so were Hiyacar live chat. Would highly recommend
Hiyacar has a very good system to allow anyone to easily access a car. Their locations are very good and in constant update, excellent costumer service, and the cars are very very good.
I would recommend anyone to use Hiyacar.
Metin helped me rapidly and thoroughly on my last trip - and I was grateful to have him by my side.
They charge £60 for cleaning which includes £20 administration fees, this is second time they have done with me, if your get PCN on thier cars, they will charge £40 administration to pay £6, instead they could have forwarded the PCNs straight to us and we can sort that out,
Don't fall under low prices, they have a lot of hidden charges,

My experience with Hicar was great! The app was simple to use and very intuitive. I was having friends to visit and needed a 7 seater, I manage to find one not far from me and at a fraction of the price. Mark (the owner of the car) was quite nice and helped me to do my first check in. Things went really smoothly and with no problems. It's great to finally be using an app that connects me to my local community without needing to go through hire companies. I will definitely be using it again.
Experience was not great this time.
Car Would not fast charge, even on fast chargers. This car usually charges at a much faster rate so bear this in mind when planning your journey as you will need extra time to charge the car. its not the cables (as we used fast charger cables - its the car). We had to leave 1 hour early in order to add in the extra charging time necessary so we could get home!
The USB socket in the car needs replacing as its faulty and needs 'pushing' to the side constantly to allow apple CarPlay to work.
Bluetooth does not connect on iPhones so could not connect over bluetooth.
The car's control systems (maps, heating, music, etc) crashed 3 times and needed rebooting - When it crashes you cannot do anything. It constantly does this, and even though we have reported this in the past it has not been fixed.
App failed to allow me to open the car when picking the car up, and then failed to recognise me. Blury images from the onboarding cause the car not to unlock / lock. Not a good user experience. This wasted nearly 1/2 hour time on pickup resulting in me being late leaving.
Hiya car staff were however very prompt in resolving which is great :)
Perfect car for a weekend away. Easy to book and easy to collect and drop off.
Nice idea but ultimately they fail to deliver. Too many issues to list here but I used Hiyacar 20+ times and every time I gave them another go something eventually went wrong. For example, a diesel van ran out of AdBlue and broke down. Someone I hired from didn't turn up to meet me when I returned the vehicle. In another instance I couldn't start or stop the engine or lock the doors due to bluetooth connection issues. Vehicles were often dirty with warning lights flashing about a vehicle fault or very low on fuel.
I also had an issue getting a refund after cancelling a booking.15 days after I cancelled a booking for £664 they had still not refunded me. In the end I had to raise a dispute via Amex to get my money back which took nearly a month.
On one occasion I went to pick up a booking and found that my account had been suspended as they suspected me of fraud. They blamed their verification partner Lexis Nexis who in turn blamed Hiyacar. Eventually my account was reinstated but jeez, what a load of hassle!!!!
Customer service is primarily a chat bot but eventually a human will respond, even when they do it's a struggle to get things resolved with them and they quickly become rude and ignore you if the situation is tricky.
Also, as I have now discovered in my area they are more expensive than the likes of Enterprise car club.
TL;DR - These guys are way more hassle than they're worth and I would advise anyone considering using them to look for alternatives.
