Cowboy company I am reposting my review…

Cowboy company I am reposting my review as they had it removed. They came out to install a boiler and the work was horrific nothing but issues and poor workmanship. Several complaints to Zoe in customer service about a leak that damaged my floor that they still have not had the decency to repair. Again I will post messages to prove the radio silence I have had and compete disregard for customers properties or taking any account for liability. Avoid like the plague they are just after grant money and couldn’t give a monkeys about your property.

With regard to the concerns raised, it was never established that our engineers caused the damage to the flooring. Nevertheless, as a gesture of goodwill and in an effort to resolve the matter, we arranged and covered the cost for a flooring company to attend your property and carry out the repair.
Prior to the visit, the materials were confirmed with you via text message.

However, when the installers arrived on site, you declined the agreed materials due to a change in preference regarding the colour and requested that the work area be extended beyond the originally discussed section. As this additional work was outside the scope of what had been arranged, the installers were unable to proceed and had to be called back.

We are disappointed that despite the substantial work carried out at your property, which improved its overall condition, and our decision to go above and beyond to assist with the flooring issue as a gesture of goodwill, you have still chosen to leave us a negative review.

System conversion

Curtis and Max came to do a system convention which was a very unique experience that truly showed how important it is to have individuals who have the skills and ability to compete a task with efficiency, speed and quality. Not a Positive Experience - Caution Advised

Review of Heatzen – Caution Advised
I did not have a positive experience with Heatzen, and I would urge others to proceed with caution.
I was initially contacted by Heatzen regarding eligibility for an ECO grant boiler. Before any visit, I provided a photograph of my existing system as requested, and I received written confirmation from Heatzen (the day before the visit) stating that I qualified for an ECO grant boiler. My EPC rating was therefore already known to them in advance.
Despite this, one individual who described himself as a “surveyor” travelled a considerable distance (from Manchester to Devon) to visit my property. This immediately struck me as unusual, given the distance involved. During the visit, he took a few photographs but did not carry out anything that could reasonably be described as a proper survey. I have previously had legitimate surveys conducted, and this visit bore no resemblance to that process.
During the visit, I was told that I needed to provide copies of personal documents (including bank statements, council tax bills, and proof of ID) for their “compliance team,” and I was told that the grant would not proceed unless I handed these over before he left. I questioned why this information was required at that stage, but under pressure and trusting what I was told, I eventually provided the documents. In hindsight, I now believe this request was inappropriate.
Approximately a month later, I received an email stating that I did not qualify for a boiler after all, allegedly because my “energy rating was too low.” This explanation made no sense, as my EPC rating was already known to Heatzen before the visit and was even referenced in their earlier correspondence confirming eligibility.
I replied requesting clarification and a copy of the surveyor’s report so I could understand how this conclusion had been reached. I also asked why a site visit had been arranged at all if my EPC rating alone was supposedly sufficient to disqualify me. I have never received a response. It has now been over two months.
Throughout the process, I dealt only with two individuals who appeared to represent the company. The man based at the office was less proficient in English than the one who attended at my property. Communication was inconsistent, follow-up promises were not honoured, and the man in the office appeared unfamiliar with basic details of the product being offered, which was concerning for someone presenting themselves as the owner of the business.
The overall experience does not make sense from a commercial or procedural perspective. Sending someone on a long-distance visit, only to later claim that the application was never viable based on information already available, raises serious questions. I was left without a boiler, without answers, and with ongoing concerns about how my personal data has been handled.
This is my honest experience. I cannot say that Heatzen acted transparently or professionally, and I would strongly advise others to be cautious, particularly about providing personal or financial documentation. I would recommend verifying credentials independently and seeking alternative providers before proceeding. For clarity, I was initially contacted by Heatzen on 6 October. I received their letter advising that my application was unsuccessful on 10 November. I followed this up by email on 17 November but have never received a response.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. At Heatzen, we take customer service very seriously. Following this review, we conducted a full internal review of the timeline from initial contact through to the final outcome, and the findings are outlined below for clarity. We would like to clarify several points so that the process is accurately understood.

Firstly, EPC eligibility is not determined solely by an EPC report available online. EPCs can become outdated, and property conditions can change over time. Under the ECO scheme, we are required to assess the current condition of the property and provide photographic evidence to funders to support the energy rating we submit. EPCs prepared by third parties cannot be relied upon as sole evidence, as we have no control over how or when they were produced. This is why a site survey was necessary.

Following the survey, our calculated EPC aligned with the rating available online. However, based on scheme rules, the only technically viable improvement at the property was electric storage heaters. Unfortunately, this measure would not have delivered the required minimum two-band EPC improvement, which is a mandatory requirement of the scheme. We also explored the option of an Air Source Heat Pump, but this was not possible due to the property being listed.

Regarding the survey itself: surveys are arranged only with customer consent and are carried out to determine technical and scheme viability. A survey does not and cannot guarantee installation. If eligibility were certain in advance, there would be no purpose in conducting a survey, which carries a cost to us. At no stage was a 100% installation promise made prior to the assessment.

In terms of surveyor location, Heatzen operates nationwide, with main hubs in London and Manchester. Where local availability is limited, we may deploy surveyors from our main hubs to avoid cancellations and delays. The surveyor’s place of travel does not affect the outcome or quality of the assessment and is intended to ensure continuity of service rather than inconvenience customers.

The documents requested and signed during the visit were scheme-required consent documents. These do not contain vulnerable or inappropriate financial information and are used to authorize data sharing with third-party funders only if a customer qualifies, in line with GDPR requirements. Where an application does not proceed, customer data is securely deleted after the required retention period.

We take data protection, compliance, and communication seriously. Heatzen trades under Proximus Solutions Limited, a company registered with Companies House and accredited with Gas Safe and TrustMark. We have assisted a large number of customers under the ECO scheme, and concerns of this nature are not reflective of the wider feedback we receive.

We regret that the outcome was not as hoped, but the decision was based strictly on scheme rules and technical limitations rather than a lack of transparency or professionalism. We remain available to discuss any outstanding questions directly should clarification still be required.
