Inaccurate data received! Highlighted report radiates from another property, identifying this properties issues (ground stability and road noise) this is not the property I’m purchasing.
Action Alert (highlighted) as noted on the report- we only provide maps & data tables of features within the search radius that we have identified to be of note. How can this be a true reflection of the property I am purchasing? How can this be right?

Easy to use website, clear pricing, excellent product / services range and good customer service.

We began proceedings with purchasing a property in November 2018 - the Groundsure report was returned 22/11/2018 and stamped with a pass. Unfortunately a fortnight later, the seller of the property changed their mind and pulled out of the sale.

However, we managed to find another property, on the same housing estate less than 100ft away from the original property. Knowing that the searches had already been passed previously - imagine our surprise when the new searches were returned stamped 'Action Required' - significant contamination land risks.

Having cross referenced the information listed on both reports - they both stipulate the same information e.g. same risks at same locations.

We raised a query with our solicitor and asked them to return to Groundsure to ask how they could pass the first property but not pass the second property. We supplied both addresses, a print out of the same information displayed on both reports and a screen shot of googlemaps, which shows how close the properties are together - but Groundsure refused to change the report unless we paid for another more detailed search or they would gladly sell us environmental insurance to cover for a potential event arising as a result of contaminated land.

I think this is absolutely disgraceful and a deceptive sales technique to force us into buying insurance for something that has already been previously ruled out as a risk.

If it hadn't have been for the original house sale falling through, we would have been none the wiser and would have had to pay for an additional search and possibly the insurance policy as well - so this now raises the consideration of how often are Groundsure encouraging people to purchase insurance policies that may not even be required.

We had no choice in who carried out our searches as this decision was made by our solicitor - but if you have the option to select a different company, I would be very wary of using this company now I know that they tried to scam us out of money.

The prices for Planning Maps are certainly competitive at Groundsure Insights, but the quality of resolution is rather poor. This is not the first time I have made such a comment.

Groundsure is one of the best and most reliable company we have worked with for a long time. We at Wrightmans Plans highly recommend Groundsure for their excellent service.

We totally agree with other reviews of this company using 'off the peg' statements which bear no resemblance to the actual situation - particularly the TELL YOUR SOLICITOR NOT TO USE THESE report (June 2018). We have lost our sale because the wording used in the surface water risk report is totally over the top - warning of 'likely to be prone to flooding following extreme rainfall, which could cause problems with insuring the property against flood risk'. In fact the overall flood risk rating is stated as LOW in the report and we have had no problem getting insurance during the time we've lived here. I have made a complaint to the company who say they are going to look at this wording after canvassing opinion from customers. We paid for a separate report from another company and that bore no resemblance to the Groundsure report - because it was much more specific to our property - rather than a generalised assessment of the surrounding area. I intend to monitor whether the promised review happens in the hope that others won't have to suffer the stress and financial penalties resulting from the alarmist language used by this company.

Does exactly what is says. Software is fairly easy to use.

Currently have a dispute with them over double billing and suggesting a credit not a refund … lets see how it pans out.

Useless inaccurate data. I had to double-check all their data as it was so inaccurate.
Avoid this company for conveyancing. They seem to produce an automatically generated report, which bears little resemblance to reality. They missed two critical planning applications and made numerous other expensive errors. They wriggle out of all responsibility by blaming third party suppliers, even though the real data is publicly available and, in my case, at least, was long before their report was published. Thus, your report is useless and you have no come-back on them. Do not use.

I have given it one star because no stars is not an option.
Lazy desktop service that could lose you a house sale. Our post code covers 36 properties which are, according to Groundsure, at risk of flooding. There is one small stream at the bottom of the hill (where there are no houses, because they all sit up the hill) and which has never flooded. Flooding is a physical impossibility but our buyers have a Groundsure AVISTA report that says it is at risk and now my buyers are worried. My insurance company has never loaded my premium so that says it all. This is a big money grabbing corporation that produces false data based on some incompetent computer program. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Poor report that is automatically generated, mentions area of flooding that are supposedly within a 25metre radius, however these are in fact over seven miles away no have no bearing, report states it will be very difficult to obtain insurance due to very high risk of flooding, getting insurance was without any issue at all. The report does not mention all update to date flood prevention methods employed in the area within the last five years. I commissioned a proper onsite survey almost all the points on this flood survey were totally ruled out by a fully qualified surveyor. Don't waste your money get a proper search done.

I was disappointed by the quality of the flood report I received from Groundsure. The databases used by the Company are not up-to-date regarding flood risk in the town of Bath and the report contained exaggerated and inaccurate statements about vulnerability to flooding.
