Contacted the company through word of mouth recommendation. Derek came out the same day. He was very informative and knowledgeable. Listened to what I was wanting and did not try to change my mind but did give valid recommendations. Overall I got 10 windows and 2 doors. Would highly recommend the company.

I had windows and a door replaced in June this year. One of the kitchen windows was accidentally cracked by one of the fitters before being put in. I was assured that it had been reported and a replacement would be made. It is now 5 months on and nothing has been done. I have contacted the company on four occasions and the only person l speak to is this rude woman who insists that it has never been reported. The cold weather is with us now and this cracked window is a problem with condensation as it’s not a small crack. I had thought about using this company for other home improvements l’m planning but if this their after care l won’t be.

Was recommended by a parent who previously had work done (and a great job was done by them in their house) and Derek came round to quote for us. He couldn’t have been better and gave us some superb options, and the end price was fantastic. Couldn’t be happier.

David came round at the agreed time and measured all windows and was very kind and explained the full process to myself and partner and managed to give us a very good quote for full new set of windows for the full house.

Derek couldn’t have been more helpful. Went through and explained everything to a fine T. Would definitely recommend and use again.

Derek came and gave us a quotation for a new front door earlier today. We were getting several quotes from different companies to compare. The result being a couple of hours after Derek leaving, we were on the phone ordering not only a door but a new window as well. Derek was professional from the moment he stepped into our home. He knew exactly what we were looking for - no sales patter - no fuss - just straight talking facts and calculations and that is why he stood out from all the rest!. I had my master bedroom window replaced by Greencastle this summer and it’s the best home improvement I’ve ever had done! The old window had been letting in a lot of cold draughts and outside noise, so a no-brainer to replace. Derek the super sales consultant could not have been more helpful and patient. He kindly checked my other windows and doors, advising when each was likely to need replacing. So no hard sell at all.
I’d previously had a much more expensive estimate from a well-known company, who told me that the windowsill would be damaged when the old window was removed, so would need to be replaced. But the nice surveyor from Greencastle reassured me that he would expect any damage to the sill to be very minimal and he was right - barely a scuff, no rush to get the paintbrush out! The fitter was excellent, tidy and efficient. He put down dust sheets, carefully dismantled the old window from the inside of the room and cleaned up afterwards.
The new window looks lovely and the noise reduction (from traffic, neighbour dogs, cats, foxes) is amazing. I barely heard the recent storm and am enjoying a much cosier bedroom now the colder weather is upon us. It’s a 10/10 for Greencastle from me! I have now ordered a replacement composite front door and am looking forward to having that installed.

Placed order in May 2025, signed contract and paid a deposit for a new door/sidescreens and they were quick to send out the surveyor (Tommy) within a week of this. Tommy was great taking all my requests down and taking measurements confirming everything I wanted. I then received an updated contract to sign weeks later. Then I didn't hear anything from Greencastle for a few weeks until towards end of June where they told me that my order was at manufacturers but the latch was needing changed which I agreed to (wish I hadn't now - cheap thumb turn not drop latch). Then I didn't hear anything again for weeks. I decided to contact them around beginning of August for an update and they gave an excuse that the glass design I ordered was going to take another two weeks. About a month and a bit later I still hadn't heard anything and so again I contacted them and at that point in September I was given a date for installation (2 weeks later). On the actual day of installation I received a phone call to say that the workmen weren't going to make it and my frame was damaged which they noticed when loading on the van that morning. (This meant that they didn't Qaulity Check the items at manufacturing stage) and I was angry so I emailed a written complaint which wasn't acknowledged. At the end of September I still hadn't heard anything so I enquired yet again about my order and was eventually given info that my new frame would be in showroom around October which it was and they booked me in for an installation date on the 10th October. Finally the day arrived and the workmen turned up and got on with the job. They weren't chatty guys but they did complete the job with minimal mess and then ran off when finished. Within 20mins I missed a call from Greencastle asking for payment and I hadn't even had time to check the workmanship of the door in that short period of time with the guys leaving and getting that call. Anyway payment was sent and I asked for an acknowledgment of receipt which wasn't given to me either.
I feel that it shouldn't have taken 5 months from start to finish to get my door installed and I am extremely disappointed in the length of time it took to get it installed. I also don't think much of the Customer Service as I had to do all the chasing and wasn't given enough time to inspect the finished installation of my door before chasing for payment same day. Also they definitely didn't QC the door after it was manufactured or else the damaged frame would have been picked up before the actual installation date.one thing that they got wrong was that they put the hinges on door on the wrong side so door is opening in on wrong side. This should have been taken from survey but clearly wasn’t.
I would NOT recommend this company because of the length of time they took, no QC done and CS awful.

After having 3 extremely varying quotes from different companies for doors, one of my usual workmen suggested I tried Greencastle. Derek came our to give me a quote, he was friendly and professional and not pushy at all. He provided me with various brochure options and was able to show me an example of a composite door which in the end I decided to go for. The quote was the best out of all I received and the quality of the sample he brought seemed great. So far I am happy with the service Derek provided, I had multiple questions about the doors which he was able to answer for me without any issues. The aftercare package of 15 year guarantee for the doors was excellent and superior to other quotes. He made me feel at ease and understood my needs and concerns and assured me that if I have any issues I can contact him directly to resolve them. Looking forward to having the new doors installed.

We are very pleased with our current cooperation with Derek from GreenCastle... the talks went smoothly, despite our many questions, Derek was very helpful and understanding, he didn't pressure us into anything, on the contrary, he advised us in the best possible way... I recommend him 😉

Had Muir and Rhys fitting windows in my grandmothers big old house, they were very accommodating to my grandmothers Ill health, made everyone feel at ease, kept us updated as the job was going on and a total pleasure to have in the house. They left no mess, done an excellent job and got 18 huge windows in very fast. We are hoping to replace front and back doors in near future and would absolutely use again. Thank you 🌟

Derek was very friendly not pushy made sure myself and my husband were included in everything he was saying and doing. Really didn't feel any hard sell from him at all. Explained everything very clearly how things worked regarding how project can be financed . Very pleased with quote . Feel he became a friend rather than a sales person .

I got in touch with this company two years ago to get a quote for new windows and doors. I met Derek who was a very outgoing and professional guy and he got me the best price possible but unfortunately I wasn’t able to go ahead due to my financial situation.
I promised Derek I would be in touch when the time was right which he accepted. He didn’t hound me like other companies usually do.
I got in touch with Derek a few days ago and explained I was now able to go ahead with the windows and doors and would he be able to come out and give me another quote. Derek remembered who I was and got me fitted in for a visit to measure up and go through prices. Again Derek was extremely professional he explained everything really well and went through all financial options that he thought would be best for me. He said at no point did I have to go ahead with anything if I decided it wasn’t the right price or time for me. We had a great catch up with everything that has happened the past two years it was like seeing an old friend. Derek again got me a great price and I signed on the dotted line and can’t wait to get my windows and doors installed.
