An £80 online order on 6 July shows no sign of arriving. Impossible to get any phone number answered. Don't risk it! Used to be good, have frequently ordered in the past but no longer, can't afford to loose money at this rate!!

Poor customer service, no items arrived.

Pretty much the same enormously poor experience as everybody else! With poor customer service.

I placed my order, it said a 7-10 day window (working days only). They don’t provide you with a tracking number, but claim it’s tracked. Didn’t get any shipment updates. Assumed it was coming from the U.K. as it doesn’t state otherwise.

We got to day 7 and I emailed asking if the tracking number was available, they replied saying it would only become available within the 7-10 day period, and advised me to reach out again 3 days later if it hadn’t yet arrived.

It didn’t arrive. It’s now gone over the 10 days, so I emailed yet again asking for the tracking number and had no reply. I decided to call and was told my order was delayed and it would be with me within 2 days. Still no tracking number given to me.

I finally got an email reply back with contradictory information - saying yes there are delays and that it would be with me by the end of the week or early next week (not the ‘2 days’ as specified by another colleague), and again still no tracking number provided to me. Also this was the first ever mention of it coming from Germany!

I emailed back but of course no reply yet. After reading these reviews I’ll be phoning again tomorrow with concern.

Unfortunately as we use third party companies to update us on the deliveries sometimes this changes as there may be external factors beyond our control.

I am very sorry that you were initially given the incorrect information.

We have some unusual issues with transportation over the last month which has now been rectified. However we did have a number of our customers that were effected by this and this is the reason it has been slow to get back to you.

The emails are answered in a first come, first serve basis and I apologise we could not get back to you sooner.

Order said 7-10 working day delivery

Order said 7-10 working day delivery, no option to pay extra for speedier delivery. I emailed them after 7 days asking for any update, was told the latest it would arrive is the 12th, but highly likely it could come earlier. Today I called and apparently there's a huge delay with the couriers! But I was never informed, no emails, completely left in the dark. If in my initial enquiry I had been told that, then I could have at least had time to go out and buy the materials for this important project starting today, and got a refund, but I was ensured it would arrive by the 12th. So now my time-sensitive project is royally f*cked, because they couldn't be bothered to not let me know there were delays even after I asked them about it.

No recompensation offered, no real apology, just blaming the couriers. Never ordering from here again. I should have stuck with Jackson's art.

Still waiting for my order. Comms with Customer Services okay, but they have no information on where my orders is or when it will be delivered. 1 * Star

Update: Package has now arrived and I've been given a 50% discount for the wait. Seems someone's listening and working to resolve their transport issues. Bumped up to 3 *** Stars

I'm still waiting for my delivery!

I ordered paints on the 24th June, I'm still waiting for them! Nobody has once said to me that they are coming from Germany. Nobody has rang me, but i have rang them 3 times to find out a tracking number. No tracking number has been generated because its still sat on the warehouse floor apparently! I'm so sick of waiting now, 16 days and nothing. its been sat on the warehouse floor since the 25th June I was told. If you would be honest with people Great Art, people might be more understanding. I'm incensed that is still sat on a warehouse floor! WHY? can someone tell me WHY? and will it ever get picked up? What is the hold up? I wanted some of it for a birthday present on Thursday! so thanks for messing that up for me. How will you ever get anyone coming back to shop with you, when you treat people like this. I'm still waiting!

We use a third party distribution centre who handle our parcels once they arrive. There has been an issue with a back log of parcels and this is why your parcel took so long to be labelled. The parcel was dispatched from us in good time.

I am very sorry for the delay and I understand that this can be frustrating especially as it was for a gift.

We are working hard to iron out issues like this with our partners to ensure that hold ups are minimized when the occur.

Great products, awful delivery service and tracking

They sell great products. What they don't tell you upfront is that the stuff is dispatched from Germany and will take three weeks or more to arrive. I ordered six frames for a show with almost three weeks' notice but they arrived too late. Hopeless. There is no tracking information on the website other than "dispatched" (meaningless) - all in all a very disappointing experience. I will not use them again.

Do not use this Company for their online shop - delivery service useless

I placed an order on 8 May it is now 21 June and still not arrived. I attempted to track the order online but absolutely no tracking details provided. I spoke to customer services who advised me that the order had been returned to the warehouse in Germany, but that he would attempt to place it again. A couple of weeks later still nothing so I emailed/called only to be told it had been returned again. I was asked whether I wanted a refund but told them to find out exactly what the issue was as that is their job as a customer services agent. I really wanted the product so was prepared to give them another chance, but I have now had enough. Patience has run out. The delivery service is useless. How hard can it be to obtain a tracking number and advise me who their courier company is. They couldn't even tell me whether a delivery had been attempted, all very strange. I found myself telling the customer services agent how to do his job and find out what was going on. I explained perhaps it was the incorrect labelling on the product and for him to contact the warehouse etc, which he should have done in the first place. I do not understand why a tracking number could not be obtained either.

I have now requested a full refund and would not recommend using this company for their online delivery services as they are totally useless. You just go back and forth and round in circles. Such a shame as I'm sure the products are fabulous and the shop in London looks amazing, but if you want something delivered efficiently forget it go elsewhere.

I placed quite a large order for paints…

I placed quite a large order for paints which was due to arrive by Monday (7-10 working days). There had been no sign so I called the company. I got to speak to someone straight away and he clearly had my order up in front of him based on my phone number before asking me to confirm the details as he said straight away that he could see it should have been with me. He explained the products come from Germany and the shipment had been delayed and it would be with me by Wednesday-Thursday. I told him Wednesday would be ok but explained Thursday would be too late as I need it to take with me when I go away that day. The parcel arrived today as promised and in time for when I needed it. Fantastic customer service. Will definitely use them again. Thank you GreatArt!!!

Missing items and no response

Second time that there are missing items from my order. I have been trying to contact them for more than a month already with no reply from them. Very disappointed.

Excellent products and service

Excellent products and service. My recent order took 2 weeks to arrive, which is normal (ever since Brexit the folks at Customs have been delaying foreign imports). Yes it is frustrating waiting for a brush or colour, but it is worth the wait. I will continue to use Great Art, especially when they have a sale on.

Avoid at the moment

Placed an order 26 April, nothing received yet as of 12 May. Customer Service help is non existent. Annoying that my inbox gets lots of offers from them but no advice when my order will be sent out/delivered. Will be buying my art supplies from the UK in the future. Update - Eventually received a reply from CS with a tracking number & delivery date.

Last year I had no problems with this company then ordered products in December and through many lost packages, courier problems and dire communication I still haven’t received received the products. Sent a further three emails and nothing.

I would not even give one star

I would not even give one star. Please don’t waist your time, energy, money and don’t buy anything from them online. Terrible customer and delivery service. I have been patient as it’s the time of pandemic, but I honestly lost my sympathy and trust.
Of course going to actual shop might be useful for sometimes finding good prices for art materials.

Gold standard of customer service…

Gold standard of customer service available at Great art. I called through to check stock in store, they called me back to save me waiting and reserved the items promptly. Arriving at the store, staff were extremely helpful and took time out to ensure I had the right products and were friendly, approachable and knowledgeable. This isn’t the first time I’ve had that experience. A great team.

Wish I had come on here earlier…

Wish I had come on here earlier unfortunately for me I didn't. Placed an order inline 10th April rang today as I've had no updates apparently it was late and not has a label on it yet no tracking on which courier yet and expected another week before it arrives. Asked if I can cancel and told to refuse at the door absolute joke. Sounds like this company need to get some better way of couriers being booked and displaced on time from reb warehouse!
