Well they have a good range

Well they have a good range, if you can get it. A delivery window of "7-10" days is quite tardy to begin with by today's standards. My order didn't arrive and I had no update so I emailed and asked to cancel the order as it was a gift that now wouldn't arrive in time. I received no response. Two days later I get an email- "dear customer", with the invoice and dispatch date (10 days after order placed). Next is an email stating it is awaiting pickup by a courier and will take a few days to reach the UK. Whilst boasting about their London store, goods aren't dispatched from UK so expect to age dramatically whilst waiting. Similarly if you prefer to be a person rather than a "customer", try somewhere else that appreciates the business.

buying online is a farce - 18 days and no sign of delivery

I ordered some india ink on 1-Apr-26. The next day I received an email stateing that it would be dispatched soon and I would be notified when it had been dispatched. It is now 18-Apr-26 and I have not heard anything since. I've read people saying that long delays are due to "brexit". This is nonsense. I bought 2 (car) wheel rim about 18 months ago (well after brexit) from Germany and they arrived at my door (UK) within 7 days.

the company greatart is a farce. if my item doesn't arrive soon I will be cancelling the order as is my right under the distance selling rules and they can "eat" the cost of shipping and restocking.

EDIT:
The item was finally delivered on the 22/4/26. The package had 48hour parcel force sticker on it. Clearly this had been posted on the monday after my 18/4/26 critical review. The company did not respond to any of my emails, they just dispatched after I posted a bad review on trustpilot. When buying from this company just bare in mind that it could be a very long time before you realise your goods have gone missing in the post. Greatart just leaves you hanging and does not respond to your emails. If your time is worth ANYTHING at all then don't waste it by buying from Greatart

Ordered on the 1st of April

Ordered on the 1st of April - now the 17th and still haven't received a tracking number which is functional. Been told that it will be with me soon, but last week I was told that it would be with me today "at the latest". The guy on the phone sounds lovely, but not convinced he's being entirely truthful - I'm not able to track the parcel at all and its been almost 3 weeks since I placed the order. I'd recommend looking elsewhere - as much of the other reviews suggest too.

Cheap damaged frames

I bought 5 floater frames, they were very poor quality, and all were damaged and I can't get a refund.

ELECTRICAL PRODUCTS NOT SUITABLE FOR UK…

ELECTRICAL PRODUCTS NOT SUITABLE FOR UK AS IT HAS EUROPEAN PLUG.

I’m very annoyed and disappointed that encaustic hotplate I ordered turned up with a 2 pin plug and I am having to return it. Nowhere on the website does it mention it doesn’t come with a 3 pin plug. Not only that, when contacting Customer Services, it is something they are aware of yet refuse to at least warn customer of let alone change.

I know adaptors are available but these aren’t recommended for long term use.

Beware buying any electrical items from this company as it’s an ongoing issue.

I’ve tried to write a review warning of this on their website but it keeps saying ‘select a star ratung’ even though I’ve done so.

Never dealing with this company again.

I want to try and be balanced with this…

I want to try and be balanced with this one but my experience wasn’t great. As everyone in the UK says, delivery is slow- please take delivery times as a minimum not a maximum like I did. Also if you order on a phone/tablet you don’t get all the information you would on a laptop so it WAS NOT clear this was being dispatched from Germany. And yes, customer service number is impossible to get a response.
However, they did stock an item I couldn’t find elsewhere in the UK so grateful for that product. To add insult to injury I also had problems with the Parcel Force delivery so spent half a morning trying to sort out.
Will definitely stick to Jackson’s in future - their delivery is second to none and customer service brilliant on the rare occasion of a problem

Worth less than 1 star

If I could give less than 1 star I would. Last email communication was a week ago saying my parcel was waiting for a courier. The customer 'service' line is permanently engaged.

I placed an order 17th Dec 2025 to be delivered 7-10 days. I just happened to email asking if it was possible to receive before Christmas and I was told it will be processed in the New Year!! Also that this was clear on their site but I checked and nothing showing orders would be processed New Year.
Anyway I immediately asked to cancel and before you know it I was emailed next day that this had been processed through their Germany warehouse and could not be cancelled.
Still no date given so I simply refused delivery when it arrived before Christmas which was pointless as I had ordered from elsewhere.
Not impressed as I assumed a UK address would mean delivery would be smooth and not as lengthy but the fact that whoever was sending these emails has no idea of what they are doing, a complete mess!

Great Art, Great Prices!

Great Art prices are always fantastic and arrive well packaged. I also find their website a nice shopping experience/easy to navigate. Their service is good, but you do have to be aware when ordering that although the address on their website is a UK address, online orders are shipped from their warehouse in Germany. If I want something fast, I order from Jacksons, but GA have some fabulous prices so for me, its worth the wait

I was going to give a 3 star

I was going to give a 3 star because of the long delivery time but when I received the items I purchased they were of good quality and very well packed.
However, when I complained to the company about the length of time it was taking to arrive I was told the goods were coming from Germany, this despite a British address shown on their website. I was told that a delivery time of 7 to 10 days is shown on each page but I could not see it shown anywhere. Finally, they have a shop in the UK so I cannot understand why they do not process British orders there to save time, but I received no answer to that.
So, what I would say about this company is if you have the time to wait the quality of their goods are very good.

Very well packaged and in pristine condition

OK, so the delivery time is quite long and they don't update you regarding your delivery - 7-21 days would probably be a better 'advertisement' for their delivery times. However, when I emailed about this their response was very good.
Aside from this I ordered large and smaller pastelmat sheets and other sundries. Honestly it was so well packed that other companies could take a look at this. It all arrived in pristine condition and was as described. I wiould definitely use again and would recommend - as long as you don't need it urgently!

Avoid

Avoid, shop elsewhere. I ordered 2 watercolour paper pads on the 22d Dec 2025. They emailed me my invoice on the 30th along with another email saying I will get a dispatch email soon on the same day. It's now 12th January and I've heard nothing and received nothing. I will be contacting my bank for a refund seeing as I'm getting nothing from Greatart

Orders will take 7-10 days should read may take 7-10 days or longer. As with most European companies, post-Brexit, you need to be aware there are consequences of leaving the EU-like this. So I won't unduly blame GreatArt. However, other companies such as Jacksons must have similar supply chain issues. Jacksons usually dispatch swiftly with good support and tracking. Totally fine to wait but I received only a vague idea when my order will arrive from Great Art.

I spoke with Luke yesterday and placed a large order almost £500 because he is so very helpful and professional with all the product knowledge and service - he was amazing. He gave expert advise on items to purchase and GreatArt is an excellent reliable company for my Art Products. The staff are very kind and friendly and wrap all their postage items superbly for protection and have supportive kindness in supporting any queries. I will continue to shop with them and I do personally highly recommend

Brilliant service

My items arrived within the 7 to 10 days shipping, plus a few extra days for processing. The delivery was done by Parcelforce, my items were packaged very well and they arrived in perfect condition. Fantastic customer service with a really fast response time, very friendly and helpful!

Expensive and slow

They do have a wide range - which prompted me to order as I wanted 3 random things. BUT.
*They charge more per item than most suppliers
*The delivery times are VERY SLOW
*And to add insult to injury you also have to pay postage on any returns.
I will not be using them again.

The wrong size panels were sent to me…

The wrong size panels were sent to me so I emailed asking for the correct size to be sent. I was willing to keep the incorrect panels because I knew I could use them later but the ones I had ordered are urgent and due to go to a gallery next week. I was also willing to pay for the new ones because of the urgency.

I asked them to send the correct ones via express delivery. They refused and said it would take 7-10 days to get to me and they weren't able to send them faster. This is too late and now I have to re-think what I'm sending to gallery with barely any time.

Awful service!

I have ordered several times before and it is the slowest service with no tracking until the day before they are delivered, sometimes no tracking at all! I usually have to chase to get any information.

If they had compensated me for THEIR MISTAKE, I would have been a happy customer. I wasn't asking for much, just a faster delivery service for their mistake.

They are losing a regular customer.

Sort it out!

Confusing and frustrating service

Confusing and frustrating service.
I’ve ordered 2 items on April 5. Eventually, I’ve received a tracking number and quite a weird website track718 us was showing that my items are coming from China (why? It’s doesn’t list anywhere that would be the case). 1 month later the status simply showed “2025-05-08 11:23:21
Delivered, Left with Individual”. Obviously, I didn’t receive any parcel, nor my neighbour or people at the similar address. No answers from listed emails on my enquiries. Nobody picks up on the listed phone numbers either. I doubt they even exist. I want my items or the refund.
