Still waiting for the order - no tracking available and if you mark it as despatched at least make sure it is!

The fact the shipping was quite high too is a joke. Still waiting over 3 weeks later and way past the requirement date.

Bad delivery time-poor customer service

Seems I am not the only one to have had a bad experience with delivery. This is the third time I have had significant delays so I felt the need to write a review because of this and the shocking customer service.
The internal systems and the ordering process is pretty poor. Theres no confimation when something is despatched. When you get around to trying to track your product after a few weeks, there is no active link on the website. It says despatched and that is it. Emails to customer service are answered swiftly for them to chase your parcel, however they are then not followed through.
So this last package was apparently lost after two and a half weeks wait. Brushes that I needed. I had already complained about the delivery time. I was told they could reorder and that would take another 10 days, so that would be 5 weeks wait for some brushes.
In anticipation of your response Charlie (looking at other reviews) people do not want to wait two weeks for their order... Why is this your standard? Theres loads of companies that can deliver in a couple of days. Having that as a blanket response isn't helpful. Even shipping from overseas does not take this long, (I know because I do it) the problem is with your internal processes.
But as it is Ill go elsewhere and get my refund

I wish I would have read reviews before to buy

I tought it was just me being upsed with the shocking delayed delivery time, but I already saw it is something common for the company. Guys, you should fix it, at least I'm not gonna buy with you next time, never! I bet you already lost a bunch of costumers, and please, don't write "sorry, we hope your experience will be better for the next time". Take this seriously.

Spent so many hours lost count trying…

Spent so many hours lost count trying to put in an order. Website not working very well. Tried calling, keep getting directed to voicemail, wishing me a merry christmas etc. just can’t get through? Hard to put an order on line as authentification of card does not leave a code, can’t send order through email as it won’t copy and paste, and finally atm can’t even send any emails as Microsoft as stopped all incoming and outgoing mail as the storage is full. So basically have a lot of trouble ordering. But I definately think the contact us on phone needs to be sorted. Very frustrating sorry.

For one, great collection of products available that aren't easily available elsewhere, however the delivery time was so far outside of the expected 7 - 10 days that the website says that I'd actually forgotten I'd ordered it (Marble dust) until it turned up.

The 'Track shipment' on the website just redirects to the same page, you can see the redirect if you hover over the 'track shipment' button, it just opens a new tab with the same order history page, so there is no actual attempt on the site to actually show your shipment progress. This is deceptive, which shows a total lack of regard to the customer, and is indefensible. It's okay to be truthful..

Would I use again(?) only if I couldn't find what I'm looking for elsewhere. I don't expect next day delivery, maybe not even the following week, but it was more like three weeks.

It was, however, well packaged, and what I ordered.

18th century delivery times

shockingly long delivery times for the 21st century - obvioulsy done in order to mitigate their prices that are lower. Ten "working" days delivery is just patheticly long. I've had 3 orders and have all taken longer than that - not anymore this latest order (still waiting for it) is the last ....bye.

Awful… yes

Awful… yes, they do say 7-10 days shipping but they also state dispatched as soon as they receive your order which is misleading. Perhaps there is a carrier who takes between 7 and 10 days to deliver but I have no idea why a company would use them. Also, there is no tracking available on the orders section of account. There’s a button for tracking I’m day ten now and it still doesn’t work. Don’t bother replying Great art its actions that matter a faster delivery time and communication about the progress of the order to the customer that counts. Just to add my parcel was picked up from your business on the 22nd and delivered on the 23. I have the tracking details now so the delay isn't with the parcel delivery firm. Edit... I looked at the section you mentioned. So, everything is sent from Germany to a Uk carrier company and then delivered to the customer. Good to know, It explains the high postage cost and the long wait.

Agree with many of the previous…

Agree with many of the previous reviews. Ordered without noticing the 7 - 10 WORKING day delivery timeline. On top of this it was delayed so took longer than two weeks.
Not only this, no information was provided on when it was dispatched and I needed to request the information multiple times via email.
This company is geniune it's just they haven't sorted out their logistics and so therefore makes no sense buying it from the UK.
Also, the tools have stickers that have been taped down so you need to spend hours picking it off and soaking with hot water.

Worth the wait

I read the reviews before ordering so I only placed a small order. Pros: mind boggling selection, almost everything in stock, decent prices. I especially like the large format cardstock!! It was all packaged very well. Cons: it takes way longer than the estimated 7-10 working days, there was no tracking number (it comes from outside the UK?) I ordered Dec 29th and received Jan 21st. If you’re willing to wait, or if there’s consumables you know you always need and don’t need it ASAP, I think it’s worth it. I get peoples frustrations with the shipping times, but I don’t think it’s a total scam company. I do hope they will get faster shipping options!

So far this is not looking good

So far this is not looking good. I gave them the benefit of doubt even after reading these reviews. I have placed a small order to see. Well 7-10 days. On the 10th day I called and they sent me the tracking and said it should be with me Thursday. That would be working day 12! Even after paying a high postage amount that most in most places would mean next day. But either way I though ok that's no problem it's 2 days over what they stated but that's ok. We'll the tracking still hasn't been updated and is still saying waiting to be received from supplier. Not looking g good. Happy to update this if I receive the order as promised this week.

UPDATE: item arrived well packaged and good condition on the 15th day. The company do seem to be aware of the problem and have ensured me they are working on changing delivery company and having a UK based warehouse. If this happens I think they will be much better. Will I used again possibly but not for anything urgent or that I can get elsewhere.

7-10 working days to deliver, this is day 10 only to be told it’s now with the courier and should be with me in 48 hours even after being told it was dispatched on 20/10/22

Where is my order?

I delayed my delivery until after my holiday. When I returned I tried to contact them to say I had returned only to find their phones out of action (been over a week) and my delivery archived. I did what they said and e mailed them (twice) and still no response. What is going on?
I have just spoken to them (Tuesday 25th October) on a different number and they have re-ordered the items for me. Still got a fifteen day delay but at least the items are on their way.

Quality watercolour brush

I would order from them again. Thank you so much for the quality products. I ordered a watercolour brush set. I am in love with them. I am new at doing watercolour painting, so next up will be some more professional paints.

Still Waiting for my Parcel to arrive

I've purchased quite a lot of items from GreatArt. The prices are competitive. My biggest gripe why I've given a two star is the delivery times. My God this thing takes forever to arrive. This will be my last purchase from this website. I'll be using Jackson's or SAA or Ken Bromley next time and save the hassle.

Very disappointing experience...

Expensive £6.95 delivery for two small erasers which then get despatched on snail pace 5-10 working day delivery service. Not very impressed! I don't mind paying this much in postage (even though it is excessive for two small erasers) if it arrives in a couple of days but we are now on working day 13, almost 3 weeks after placing the order, and still no sign of the parcel. Not a great experience and my first and last time shopping with this company :-/

Should be no ‘great’ in great art

Really high shipping rate and yet orders take ages to arrive. I have been waiting 12 days so far for my order. Their site ‘tracking’ option does not work and their customer service is slow and unsympathetic. Not impressed at all.

Worst experience ever

Placed an order, after 10 days made contact as nothing received. Was told that 10 working days is the estimated time frame and also was subsequently subjected to a verbal attitude and lack of professional response when I enquire as to why such a slow service, especially after I asked why it is not made apparent at time of ordering that orders are dispatched from mainland Europe.
When asked to speak to a senior manager was denied as the "customer service " person stated he was the only one in.

When delivery is now attempted it is going to be refused and charge back made from bank. This company obviously needs reminders about distance selling laws and governance about transparency laws. The FAQ are about questions if the customer has no questions then they are not going to look there to find out about the delay of service.

Also worth noting is that the tracking service via the greatart.co.uk website doesn't work and only servers to open new tabs to order history.

Buyers be warned, take the advice from most of the reviews this company has buy elsewhere

I am sorry to read this review, My understanding was the service representative was trying to help you to see the different areas on the website where you can see the delivery times and direct you to the FAQ where you can see the details of the delivery procedures.

If you ever require to speak to a senior manger you must email welcome@greatart.co.uk where the email folder is open for the supervisor and general manager to access at any point, If there anything you would like to discuss it will be read by the management team.

We are a very small team at GreatArt and occasionally we do only have one member of the team working.

We are transparent on the website about all areas of our business but i am sorry that you feel this information is inadequate.

You are of course welcome to refuse the delivery and once this has been done we will of course refund you with no questions asked.

Delivery was later than expected (it took 2-3weeks).

but when I received damaged items, they sent me replacement after two weeks.

Customer service was no problem (They responded for my email quickly.
