Overall A Really Positive Experience
Following a few issues with the installation, we have so far had no further problems. The internet speed has been consistent and is far superior to what our previous supplier had been able to provide. Go Fibre is also a lot cheaper than what we had previously been paying.
Customer services and visiting engineers have also been really helpful, respectful, friendly and efficient.

Poor experience – Avoid.
I chose GoFibre as a local provider, hoping to support a smaller business rather than going with the likes of Sky, Virgin Media or BT. Unfortunately, that turned out to be a mistake.
It took around six weeks to get the service properly up and running. I live in an older property, but even allowing for that, the coverage was significantly worse than my previous setup with Sky.
The supplied routers were clearly not fit for purpose. At one point, a GoFibre advisor even mentioned they were testing alternative routers in their own homes, as they were aware of ongoing issues. We experienced basic connectivity problems throughout - for example, smart TVs repeatedly failed to connect to the WiFi, forcing us to purchase Apple TVs just to get a reliable connection.
The most frustrating part came when we moved house. We contacted GoFibre in advance to check whether they could transfer the service to our new-build home. We were told they couldn’t, as their network had not yet been extended to the area (despite the property being fully cabled for Openreach).
Despite being unable to provide the service, they insisted on charging an early termination fee of nearly £300. I challenged this on the basis that they could not supply the service, but was told the charge was to recover initial setup costs. They eventually reduced the fee by half, but this still feels unreasonable.
Overall, a very disappointing experience. I would not recommend - better to stick with larger, more established providers.

Unfortunately, while your new property may be fully cabled, our own fibre network has not yet been built in that area, which meant we were unable to transfer your service at the time. We appreciate this is disappointing and not the outcome you were hoping for.
Regarding the equipment and connectivity issues you mentioned prior to the move, as well as the charges applied when the service ended, we would genuinely welcome the opportunity to review your account in full to ensure everything was handled correctly and fairly.

Installation completed quickly and online in no time. The 1Gb package is great, powerful router that easily covers a big bungalow without repeaters.
Download speed measured with 3rd party app, Speed Geo, at 800Mb download 200Mb upload with VPN off.
Variable throughout the day and with VPN on as expected. Even the furthest away room at 300Mb.
Comfortably supports streaming to the TVs and grandkids tablets and video games at the same time.

Internet access - second to none
Having been accessing the Internet since the days of 56k modems, I can categorically state that GoFibre are simply the best ISP I have ever used.
Installation was easy and neat. The download/upload speeds are as stated and the service has been extremely reliable.
Customer service is by far the best I have ever come across. They communicate really well and when I was upgrading my service they implemented it with no fuss or delay.
Easily deserve 5* rating.
