Review After 2 Years as a GoFibre Custome

It has been exactly two years since I became a customer. Overall, this is one of the most reliable broadband providers I’ve ever used in the UK. There has been one major outage, which unfortunately took a few days to fix, but I personally witnessed that they did their best to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. After that, I also got a free month.

Today, I received the email for contract renewal. I gave them a call, and it was as easy as calling a friend. No answering machines, no navigating through menus. Just a plain old 0131 number and someone simply picks up. It was Colm McAlister who helped me with the renewal. We got everything done in 4 minutes. I only had to call back to double check if the price was correct because it was lower than I expected, but it turned out that was the correct price. Within minutes, I got my contract, signed it, and we were all done in less than 10 minutes. This was the easiest renewal I’ve ever experienced.

I highly recommend GoFibre. Reliable broadband and great customer service.

Great signal and customer service

Have been using go fibre for around a month, fabulous speed in an older property where my previous provider failed to deliver, I experienced poor connection and continued problems.
With go fibre my signal is 100% reliable, getting over X6 higher speed now. If you do need any help, customer service is also local, prompt and helpful.

installation went without a hitch and installer was very polite and respected my property and explained every to me and set up my lap top, in my opinion could not have gone better

Rip off merchants

Rip off merchants. They draw you in with a cheap deal, then price goes up every December. Then when you get to the end of the contract, the price jumps again. What seemed like a good deal to begin with ends up 4x the cost at the end of the contract.

And because they are the only provider with full fibre in my area (funded by the government I may add) there’s no choice but to pay their extremely high monthly cost if I want gigabit service. It’s a trap. Let me guess, when competition arrives suddenly they’ll offer a cheaper deal to retain me as a customer.

Not happy at being taken for a ride.

No false promises and connected at the specified time. Engineers Mark and Dale were very pleasant and professional. Day after connection had a few issues and the help centre support team were absolutely great. Turns out no problem with GoFibre, most likely caused by my phone or perhaps the phone operator. Overall good experience so far, very happy.

Excellent Service

Lovely local and friendly customer service advisors who clearly informed me of the choices available. An engineer came out, who was also very friendly and he explained what he would be doing. I was set up in no time at all and he made sure I knew exactly what I was doing before he left.

Quick response to initial teething issues.

Speedy, positive response from GoFibre after initial delays in setting up the service. Staff always polite and helpful, since the start. Will review again after the service has started and we've experienced how it has progressed.

It’s clear we’ve fallen short on two fronts here - how we’ve followed up after your initial enquiry, and the lack of communication once you decided to go ahead. That’s not the experience we want anyone to have.

Regarding the contact you received, we aim to be helpful without being intrusive, so it’s concerning to hear it felt excessive. We’ll be reviewing how we manage follow-up calls and emails after a website enquiry to make sure, we’re getting that balance right.

On your order, I completely understand your frustration. Especially given infrastructure is already nearby, you should have had a much clearer update and timeline. Not hearing back to your emails isn’t acceptable, and I’m sorry for the lack of communication.

The Internet was installed efficiently…

The Internet was installed efficiently by a company from Glasgow. They had a friendly manner and worked hard and it was late before they set off back for Glasgow. I give them top marks for everything.
