Save money by avoiding The Green Energy Advice Bureau Ltd
I signed, in good faith, for a 3 year electric contract with Engie which was brokered by The Green Energy Advice Bureau. I unfortunately found that I was being charged around £8,500 more the any other supplier over the 3 year contract. When I complained they didn't want to know. It cost me £3,480 in fees to cancel the contract. Green Energy are con men seeking to rip off customers.

We did previously review the matter in detail and worked with the Energy Ombudsman, who concluded that the contract was agreed correctly at the time. When the agreement was put in place, the rates reflected the market conditions then, and all pricing and terms were explained prior to acceptance. We understand how frustrating it can be to see different pricing become available later, particularly given the volatility of the energy market. The cancellation fees applied were in line with our Terms & Conditions following the early termination of the agreement.
We regret that the situation led to dissatisfaction and thank you for taking the time to raise your concerns. Your feedback is important to us and helps us continue to review and improve how we support our customers.

We have reviewed the comments above and would like to address a couple of points.
We have only been able to find on one occasion an agent of GEAB’s called you last week, and the previous week only two days that week did an agent speak directly with you.
The conversations were respectful and informative or alternatively were checking in due to you having had prices for around a fortnight. Prices are taken from a live market and are subject to potentially change on a daily basis.
When you explained you no longer had the time, our agent thanked you and ended the communication.
Furthermore, your review comments to avoid using our services but you asked our agent to call you back in 6 months to look at contracting again.

Exceptional support for both residential and business energy issues
I contacted Green Energy Advice Bureau (GEAB) after months of stress and confusion dealing with a long-running residential energy billing issue that my supplier had failed to properly resolve.
Karen from GEAB took the time to genuinely look into the detail not just the headline figures. She identified discrepancies, explained technical points in plain English (including metering, data collection and tariff issues), and helped me understand what should have been happening versus what actually was. Having that clarity and reassurance made a huge difference and gave me the confidence to push for a proper resolution.
Alongside this, Liam also helped us with our business gas and electricity, securing a long-term fixed rate and handling the process efficiently and professionally. That side of things was dealt with smoothly and with far less stress than we’d experienced previously.
What really stands out about GEAB is that this wasn’t a sales push or a generic comparison exercise it was proper, independent advice tailored to our situation, both residential and commercial.
If you’re stuck, confused, or feel like you’re going round in circles with an energy company, I’d highly recommend Green Energy Advice Bureau. Calm, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful.
