We had a very tight deadline and had made this clear from the outset - Abdul was on hand throughout and very responsive to phone call and emails and this responsiveness was key in getting our transaction over the line. Shame I couldnt give 0 stars Cannot recommend this solicitors enough. Poor communication throughout resulting in delayed completion as they didnt check that everyone in the chain was working to the same date so we incurred a months delay and removal fees. They had the audacity to charge us £100 for late completion. The solicitor allocated to us was "let go" on the day we were due to exchange, apparently mutually agreed!

Amy was great and our sale went through without issue. A little disconcerting at the start when our original case handler was replaced, but Amy was excellent. Timely responses to emails and regular contact throughout. There were times when we needed immediate response to queries and we tried phoning the direct number provided but got no response - this would be my only criticism - but always responded to emails.

Amy was our solicitor throughout the process, she was really helpful and on the ball with things. The process ran smoothly of our purchase and when the end of the chain were delaying things, she was constantly pushing for updates. From the moment we received the quote we thought GD Solicitors were really helpful. As first time buyers it was great so have the whole process explained to us and they answered any questions we had. We will definitely be using the same solicitor if we move again.

Abdul Iqbal was excellent throughout. He responded quickly and professionally to everything, helped us to chase when our buyer's solicitor was not responding and kept us up to date and informed on all developments. When Abdul was on holiday for a few days during the process he handed over to Myisha Winnard who was able to pick up the case and run with it without any delay.

Amy Konig has been incredible!
I am a first time buyer and in our process of finding our home we have been sold STC with two properties. Even though the first one didn’t go ahead (due to too much work required on the property) I remained with Amy throughout the first and second house.
Amy has been so understanding and I believe she really cared about my thoughts and feelings.
I could always get in contact with Amy and emails would be answered with a quick response.

I have dealt with various conveyancing solicitors in the past, whether buying or selling a property and GD Property have provided the best service. They have kept me up to date with each stage of the process and responded quickly to my queries. They have also communicated well with the opposing solicitors and have enabled a faster completion. I have every confidence in them to act in their client's best interest and would definitely use them again.

We chose to use GD Property Solicitors because of their good reviews even though they weren't the cheapest quote. Thinking that this is something that you shouldn't skimp on. I wish I hadn't bothered.

The good bits:
Abdul Iqbal - he was great for our selling of the property, always got back to emails quickly and kept us informed of the process and offered an impartial view for a few issues we had along the way. We had money released quickly and we did get the sale completed quickly. The remainder of the review has nothing to do with him.

The bad (majority) bits:
During the purchase we were quick to response to emails, yet the same is not offered by the numerous fee earners we have dealt with.

For the purchase of our property, we had 4 different "fee earners" or Conveyancers. 5 if we include the person who, as soon as we got a new fee earner went on annual leave. This massively slowed down the process of purchasing in our eyes. We had to repeat a lot of questions to ourselves and also to the corresponding sellers solicitors. Had we not been doing a private sale I believe that this would have resulting in a falling through of the purchase.

There were multiple enquiries to the sellers solicitors that were already answered by a previous fee earner or were just blatant repeated questions. This is 100% down to having no continuity.

We were requested to pay for indemnity insurance for the a potential planning issue on the house we were purchasing. Though speaking with, and seeing the email sent by the sellers to their solicitors, they (sellers) were happy to pay for any indemnity issues.

We put a formal complaint in about the number of changes and the delays we have experienced for the service - as expected the response didn't adhere to their complaints policy and wasn't acknowledged by the outlined 2 days. Complaint raised on 30th Sept, Chased on 15th October, got a response on the 17th October saying the changes were out of their hands due to people leaving.

Such a high turnover of staff should ring alarm bells for anyone wanting to use this company.

If I was looking for a conveyancer I would not be using this company, it is too much hassle.
