I have been using Foodhub for my restaurant for a long time and, overall, I have generated a significant amount of business through their services. As a small family-run restaurant, I currently pay approximately **£1,500 per month (around £18,000 per year)** in Foodhub-related costs, including service fees, online transaction/terminal fees, bookings and commissions on sales.

Unfortunately, I have been experiencing recurring problems with the **Foodhub POS system for nearly two years**. From time to time, the system becomes extremely slow and orders do not go through properly. The system often reports an internet connection problem, even when the internet connection is working normally.

I have reported this issue repeatedly over this period. The problem is sometimes fixed temporarily, but it keeps coming back. In my view, after such a long period of repeated complaints, I would have expected a more permanent solution rather than continuing to repair the same system.

Today I contacted Foodhub again because the same problem occurred. The issue was eventually resolved, but I asked whether the POS could be upgraded to a newer system. I was then told that I would need to pay **£290 for the upgrade**.

This was particularly disappointing to me. I have been paying for the service continuously for years and have repeatedly reported problems with the existing equipment. If a newer system was available and the existing equipment was clearly continuing to cause problems, I would have expected Foodhub to take a more proactive approach and offer a proper solution, particularly for a long-standing customer generating around £18,000 a year in fees and commissions.

My concern is not simply the £290 charge. It is the fact that I have been reporting the same issue for almost two years, while the approach has largely been to keep fixing the existing system rather than addressing the underlying problem.

For a restaurant, a reliable POS system is extremely important. When the system is slow or orders fail to send, it can directly affect customers, staff and sales.

I am sharing this review because I believe existing and potential Foodhub customers should know about my experience. I also hope Foodhub will take this feedback seriously and review how long-standing customers with persistent technical problems are treated.

I am now looking at purchasing my own independent POS hardware and software, together with an online ordering platform integrated into my restaurant website. My aim is to become less dependent on third-party providers and, hopefully, reduce the overall cost of running my online and POS services.

I have been a Foodhub customer for a long time, and I would have preferred to continue the relationship on better terms. However, after nearly two years of recurring problems, I feel that the service and support I have received have not met the level I would reasonably expect from a company to which my business pays approximately £18,000 a year.

**I hope Foodhub sees this as constructive feedback and uses it to improve the service for small independent restaurants.**

Why don’t you make the fact a restaurant is closed more prominent on the App ? It is far too easy to order, pay and then find out with a tiny box on screen that it is a pre order. Not even information about when it will be delivered (usually the next day).
And then no phone number anywhere on the App to ring up to cancel. Typing into an AI bot is just not good enough.
This is extremely poor.
No way to run a business.

We have been getting our takeaway food from Lubnas in Llantwit Major for as long as we can remember. We have never had an unacceptable meal from them. Quite the opposite, always freshly made with fresh ingredients and still really hot when we serve it out at home. The staff are always friendly and courteous to us and we shall keep coming here unless we move away. Great menu with plenty of choice and delivery if you are unable to collect. Highly Recommended. Thank you to all the staff.
