Float is an invaluable tool that I am using to help guide a not-for-profit organization through a challenging time during the pandemic. At the push of a button, I save 20 hours of spreadsheet work.

This is a difficult time.....

It's such a hard time right now for most business owners, whatever is happening for you.

In this midst of this pandemic, one thing alone keeps me sane and that's Float. Being able to see at a glance where we are, see the potential effects of a decision by creating scenarios. Fantastic software. Fantastic customer support.

We have Float attached to Xero. Best accounts set up we've ever used. This is the way sanity lies - precise accurate financial data.

Float Cash Flow Forecasting has changed our lives for ever! Before Float we used to use spreadsheets that became outdated and relied on my bookeeper for input. I can now use Float in conjunction with Xero - every time we reconcile Xero it updates Float which means that we are always in total control of our cashflow.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Float to any business that needs an insight into its cashflow!

I've been using Float for around four years now, and almost two years ago I sang the virtues of Float in an interview piece on their blog "Xero is great, but Float is the icing on the cake".

My opinion hasn't changed and since then it's been steadily upgraded making it even simpler to work with.

Business critical, excellent software, worth its weight in gold. I've previously tried to manage cashflow in Excel via exports from Freeagent and it's just miserable: time consuming and inaccurate.

The new Float is everything I could have hoped for in a cash flow planning tool and more.

It prompts really pragmatic actions. For example, I can added in dates I think the invoices will be paid (even if the date on the invoice is different) and then I can send emails to the recipients saying "I'm assuming you'll pay by e.g. 31st May -- is that a correct assumption?"

It gives the right level of overview, via the "daily breakdown". The net in-and-out bit is really helpful.

It's cracking software and has rapidly become indispensable to our business.

This is a simply phenomenal tool for cash flow projections, management, and understanding. I was using a google doc to follow cash flow issues, and it was a mess. Just keeping it updated was a huge time sink, and it didn't provide the option to try different scenarios without significant data entry.

Within a few minutes of getting set up in Float App, I had more insights into our current financial situation than ever before. As a small business owner, cash flow is king. Low cash flow is an extremely stressful experience, and I can genuinely say that Float App has led to better sleep!

I looked at a few other options, but none of them came close to the functionality offered. Well worth the cost, and the free trial allows you to get a sense of what you've been missing in your financial oversight before signing up.

The QB integration is nice, but how Float handles actual income and expenses versus budgets is useless for day-to-day or week-to-week forecasting. For example, budgeting income can be very specific in Float, with multiple streams possible to enter by date and amount projected. However, when actual income comes in, Float spreads the allocation of that income across every income budget you have. This results in constant erroneous projections on arrival dates of projected money for the rest of the month. This is the same with income and expenses. The tool can be used well for macro pictures across months, but not intramonth.

great app really useful to us over the last year as we've gone from 3fte to 12fte and will be continuing to use it even as we make plans to upgrade our finance system and move into our next phase of growth

Excellent app for cashflow forecasting. We use FreeAgent to create future dated invoices and Float pulls them all across and automatically creates future expected revenue. The ability to create different scenarios to test the impact of adjusting cost/revenue is very good. Excellent support to boot. Highly recommend the product !

As a complete newcomer to formal cashflow forecasting, I was delighted by how easy Float makes this important task. The automated sync with FreeAgent makes data updates a breeze, and the scenarios help plan for different outcomes.

Superb - really impressive cash flow software.

I use Float with FreeAgent and find it an invaluable tool for managing company budget. It's intuitive and easy to use. The best feature is that it syncs with FreeAgent and saves so much time by not having to transcribe figures from a spreadsheet and know the costs are up to date. Good communication with the help support who have responded promptly.

I have been using Float for over 12 Months to help accurately predict the cashflow for my Construction Company.

Once you have taken the time and effort to load all of your invoices and bills into Xero with the correct payment terms (which you should do anyway), Float will give you an accurate picture of how much cash you will have on hand, and in the future.

I find the interface very easy to use and the scenario planning is a really useful tool if you need to demonstrate the financial capacity to banks or investors.

This is a great tool and I have always been able to get good support when I have needed it.

I'd recommend this for any startup that's out raising cash - It helps us maintain a sharp focus on cash flow and also build up scenario's dependant upon development and funding changes.

Great value and simple to use.

What is Float? It's more than a cashflow plug-in. It is the fastest, most accurate way to see the health of your business at a glance.

For the first 15 years of my business, I was dealing with paper-based book keeping and endless, tedious Excel files for cashflow. I switched over to Xero and - first thing I did - was add in Float. It was promising and I was interested in finding a plug-in that would help me sort out cashflow, predict shortfalls, show surpluses, etc. It delivered that - and more.

Float has scenarios and other features that make planning growth simple. I can add in sales projections as well as budgeting for more staff - and it shows me the result. It makes my management work an intellectual exercise (comparing, contrasting, strategy) rather than an exercise in mastering Excel and keeping numbers up to date. In time savings it has paid for itself many times overs; the growth and new profit are an amazing bonus.

If you are using any cloud-based accounting SaaS, get Float. It'll revolutionize the way your numbers, your cashflow and your business.
