Thank you for your reply. I had a feeling that I might get a response once posting on here. The tracking that you have provided below is not the same tracking link that is provided with the order (which, incidentally is not updated). I have checked my email accounts regularly and I have not received any notification from Royal Mail of a parcel awaiting collection. You have done everything you can since seeing my review on here but not during the actual time I have been contacting you. You have not replied to my instagram or twitter messages either. I wouldn’t normally follow up these things but felt I needed to reply in this instance. The refund is appreciated .

I placed an order on the 7 the November for three novelty Christmas gifts.
I have not received them (I write this on the 30th of December).
I emailed the company and sent them messages through their social media accounts but have had no contact from them whatsoever. I'm at a loss as to how to get a refund and they do not provide a contact number. I presume that the company is going bust however they are still actively promoting on social media.

Really cute items. Arrived before Christmas which I was worried about due to strikes, but dispatching promptly meant it got to me super fast! Also the thank you email I received after purchase was a nice touch. Thank you.

The measure of a company in my opinion is how they deal with you when there’s a problem. Flamingo candles responded promptly and did everything they could to try sort matters and in the end between us we came up with a creative solution and they graciously accepted. Their customer service is truly exceptional

Amazing customer service - I emailed Flamingo when I couldn’t make the tracking app work & got a response straight away - I was really impressed. Great product. Great packaging. Will definitely make Flamingo my go-to for gifts with a twist.

Pretty disappointed to be honest . Expected more than a cheap looking plastic keyring and paid extra for box with message , shocked to discover that the personal message was a hand written scroll on a bit of card .

It's that time of year when creature comforts become a top priority and these candles are perfect for creating a cosy autumn vibe. Ordered a little haul and was not disappointed! Service was great with the order arriving quickly and even the postman commented on how nice the package smelled. I will definitely be back for more!!

I’ll start with the better stuff. This company has beautiful smelling candles and wax melts and their packaging has improved, based on what I’ve read below. Mine was damaged, but as the outer plastic was too that’s clearly the fault of the courier. No complaints on packaging here. It was pretty and well thought out.
HOWEVER, this is the first time I’ve I used this company. They had a selection of items I was interested in for myself and as gifts. I increased my order so I could meet their £40 = free delivery threshold, and paid in full last week.
By the weekend I’d heard nothing, and sent an email asking for an update. I got a reply the next day saying they were on their way, having taken 4 days to despatch. No reason why and no tracking information was provided, which was what I asked for. After they didn’t arrive again the next day I replied, asking again for the tracking information. That email was ignored. By Tuesday, still nothing, so I sent a less polite and more official email asking for an update. I made it clear in that message that I understand Royal Mail is having delays and things go wrong from time to time, but ignoring my messages and not giving me tracking tells me nothing and rightly raises concern.
I received a reply and It turns out that the free delivery ISN’T tracked. It doesn’t say either way on the website, so I made an incorrect assumption, but it took 4 messages over 5 days just to find that out. Unnecessary and frustrating, especially when your messages are being ignored and your waiting for items for the first time. I would have preferred tracked delivery, and would have been grateful for the opportunity to just pay for that rather than increase my order value for an untracked service.
Thankfully, my beautifully packaged (and lovely smelling) parcel finally arrived today, but unfortunately this experience got worse.
One of the items I ordered is their strawberry vase, and I paid extra for the vase stand so I could use it in a windowsill rather than a wall.
The strawberry vase itself hasn’t been sealed at the bottom, so water leaks straight out.
And even more annoyingly, the vase stand is useless, because however you install it, it doesn’t hold the vase in place. As soon as you add weight (such as light artificial flowers or just water) it falls on the heavier side, and the contents tip out. If I’d managed to make it balance and keep water in, at some point it would have lost balance and water would have poured down my wall towards my cables. Not good, but at least I noticed it.
I took video evidence of the problems with the stand (which isn’t fit for purpose because it doesn’t make the vase ‘stand’ at all) along with a photo of the gap in the seal and sent them to flamingo candles this morning. As well as the problems I also made the better things clear, and offered a couple of ideas that would have prevented this bad experience completely. I believe it can be helpful to explain what might fix it for them and their customers in the future, rather than just moaning. So far no reply, but if I get one I will update this post.
Right now this is a company with some nice products, and also some bad ones. I’ve given feedback that is good and bad, but when you take the service into account on top of the product issues, I’m not a happy customer, and the service issues clearly match with a few other experiences below.
Right now there are some changes needed to design problems, quality control and service levels to get them in line with the lovely candles they produce.
I’d hoped to use the subscription service for wax melts if the fragrance was good, sadly the service has ruined that idea.

Super pleased with my recent order from this gem of a small business. The candle designs are so unique and they smell amaaaaaaaazing too! I was like a kid in a sweet shop trying to decide what to buy and was not disappointed with my choices when they arrived a couple of days later. Thanks Flamingo XxX

Unfortunately this only gets 2 stars and that’s purely for the fact it got shipped within a day… but that’s because I paid for next day delivery.

I ordered a desk plaque as a birthday gift and selected next day delivery. The item was delivered two days later; no fault of flamingo candles but more so the courier. Upon receiving the item today; the box is completely damaged on the side. The packaging is crazy flimsy and looks like it’s from a dodgy eBay purchase.

Opening the box and there’s a bit of scrunched up tissue, adding zero value to the protection of my purchase (May aswell not even be there!)

I looked at the desk plaque and it’s completely covered in dust. Whoever had packed this has just thrown it in the box clearly seeing it’s covered in dust of some kind.

Now im all for supporting small businesses as I have one myself but never would I send a delivery out in this state! A tatty damaged box, a bit of pointless scrunched up tissue paper and a dirty product. I’m actually surprised it’s even been sent out in the condition it was, all for a crazy £20!!

I don’t think flamingo candles will be getting another purchase from me anytime soon, very shocking attention to detail for a small business where rapport means everything!

Love this brand and its unique funky designs. The candles are also actually pretty good in terms of strong scents and how long they burn for. I also love that they're made by a UK business I can support being a small business owner myself. All of that said QC can be poor and products sometimes look a bit ropey compared to the website photos. Customer service is a bit lacking too, emails might as well be sent by snail mail with how long the replies take which along with slower delivery can make for a bit of an anxious buying experience.

Amazing prices for handmade candles and they smell just as good. I had a candle arrive broken and a replacement was organised for me within 24 hours, i’ve never had such good customer service!

So happy with my order. My friend loved her gift. Very quick and efficient service.

I would give no stars if I could. Shocking customer service, sent 3 messages eventually a response stating I would receive my order in a day or two. Still not arrived. Asked for a refund, they gave me a tracking number, which tells me nothing. Terrible - will never buy from them again.

The item arrived in a beautiful pink box tied with a black bow. It looked very classy. The heart has a beautiful scent and my daughter loved it. She loved the inscription I chose. We'll definitely be buying more items from them.

Amazing service and beautiful candles. What is so special is they are so original and you can feel they are made with love. The breast cancer ones made an incredible gift for a friend who recently got the all clear! ❤️❤️❤️

My colleagues and I recently went back to the office after nearly two years of working from home so I bought everyone a flamingo desk plate as a bit of back to the office banter. Many chuckles were had! Such funny and unique gifts! Xx
